Bio (fyi story is not for the faint of heart): Lucy, Kendall and Gage were all born a year a part from each other, Gage being the oldest and Lucy being the youngest. When they were little they lived with their parents and life was calm and peaceful in the regular world. When they were young they had average playful sibling rivalries, but in the end they found each other equal through the age differences. But as they grew up and got into high school they realized their differences: Lucy had become a loner, only hanging out with a few friends, Kendall had become ‘popular’, but on the inside she felt more separated the more friends she had, And Gage, well he didn’t exactly change, he had his group of friends but their views had changed but Gage didn’t always agree with their immature ideas. Even though the siblings found themselves different in each others eyes, they were the same on the inside. The summer before Gage had to got to college, their family went to there summer home at the beach, a yearly trip which everyone “loved”: Lucy always complained that the small cottage they called there summer house was going to collapse, Kendall didn’t really complain about it, she loved the beach sunsets, And Gage, like Lucy, didn’t like the house, and he didn’t like the beach much either. Their vacation, went regularly, as usual. Once they got to the ‘house’ they all unpacked their bags and settled in the house. As the sun started to set on the beach horizon Kendall rushed to the dock at sat, her feet dangling over the water as she watched the beautiful summer sunset. Gage walked up behind his younger sister, looking out as well, “just another summer to survive” he said with a sigh and a smile. A half an hour later Lucy joined her siblings on the dock and they watched the sun disappear over the horizon. As the ocean water grew dark in the coming night, the three of them headed back to the house. As the teens and their parents finished unpacking they headed off to their rooms. Lucy and Kendall shared a room and Gage had his own room next to his parent’s room. As the teens fell asleep, their parents stayed up speaking in quiet tones about their children going away to college, and if they could afford it or not. “We can afford sending one or two of them to college…but I think Kendall and Lucy might have to get jobs to help pay for their—“ their father started to say but he stopped, hearing something strange, he looked at his wife “did you hear that?” he whispered, she nodded. He picked up a baseball bat that lay beside the coach that they sat on, he walked towards the front door of the ‘house’ slowly swinging the bat up. Behind him his wife picked up a fire poker from the side of the fire place, ready for anything. The teens dad opened the front door slowly, looking out side, all he heard was the faint chirping of crickets. He walked a couple steps out of the house, looking around, then he turned back to his wife “I guess it was just an—“ he gasped as a gunshot reverberated through the air, a blood stain formed on his chest, he looked down at it then looked back up at his wife “—animal” he said then collapsed on the ground face first. Their mother screamed dropping the fire poker, and then they rushed in dressed in all black, caring heavy duty guns. There was another bang and she was dead too, laying on her back a bullet hole in her head. The gun shots woke Gage and he bolted out of his bed into his sisters’ room, they were already awake. “Mom and dad are dead” he said to them as they hopped out of their beds. “Where should we go?” Lucy asked her older brother. He looked around hearing foot steps coming closer in the hall. “Out the window” he said rushing toward one of the windows in their room and opening it swiftly “come on come on” he said hustling them out the window. When they got out side they heard voices coming around the sides of the house “they must be hear some where” one unseen voice said. “Come on follow me” Gage said as he ran into the forest that was behind the house. They ran in silence as they listened to see if the voices were behind them. The 3 of them stopped in a clearing, out of breath, Lucy looked back at were the house was, there was smoke “look” she said pointing, they all looked as the ‘house’ and their already dead parents burned in the hot summer night. Tears started rolling down Lucy’s face, Kendall noticed and hugged her little sister, comfortingly. Gage came over and squeezed both of them, the loss of their parents was enough tragedy for one night. “Oh…how touching” a voice said out of the darkness, the kids looked around, seeing nothing. There was a laugh from the darkness then three gun shots in a row; a second later all three of them were down on the ground with blue feathered darts in their throats. The next thing they knew, they woke up in a dark city named Nightside.
