This thread is exactly what it sounds like. Somewhere to post something that happened during your day. Something cool, something epic, something hilarious, something stressful or even something depressing if your heart sees fit. Anything at all.
The point of this thread is, well, socializing. Hopefully it will keep this forum flourishing slightly. I have more plans in action to keep this forum alive as well.
So, Nano 2010'ers.... Anything interesting happen today?

I responded to a jury duty summons surprised
It was super cold this morning but they kept us locked out of the courthouse until it opened. Sucked watching the attorneys go into the warmth and having the door locked behind them, while we in the queue of 100+ jurors were left in the wind and chill outside for about 20 minutes.
We were all dismissed due to the cases being settled, in the end. Sucks for the people I spoke to who came from 70+ miles away! And it was colder outside at 9:30 when we left than it was at 7:30 when we arrived. wtf.

Knock on wood but I'm 24 and not once gotten a Jury duty summons. Hey that's a good motivator for this thread. You can actually tell those "At least it'll make a good story" stories razz

I didn't mean to make it sound so negative-- it was an interesting experience, even though it only lasted a few hours. xD
I'm 25, so I've had it coming for a while. I'm glad it happened now, though, because I'm a lot less of a douchebag than I was when I was younger and I might not have made the most impartial juror xp

But wait....waiting outside in cold for a few hours in the AM only to get turned away in the end? Sounds like when I stood in line at walmart at uber early AM for the first batch of wiis. They ran out right before my turn.

My car picked today out of all days to tell me that it has no/low traction. I had my earlier classes (around noon) out at my college, and the roads weren't very clear. I almost hit three people because of it sliding, and then I told my mom that there was a light informing me of the traction, and she didn't believe me. And of course, when I went to show her on our way to the store, the light didn't come on at all.
Luckily I'm getting my dad to look at it on Wednesday. He would be doing it tomorrow, but I have night classes. Thankfully my friend usually gives me a ride to them because he's got classes the same time, and his car is less problematic than mine.

Today hath been a strange yet wonderful day at work.. apparently the universe deemed it to be visit your former employer day.
In a course of about 5 minutes I saw 3 former coworkers. My favorite coworker followed by my absolutely hated one (I put on my best good to see ya face) and then one I liked despite his being a lazy pain in the backside.
What really made it rock was fsvorite coworker ran up to me for a hug .didn't expect to see her nevermind her make a big deal of it. (Guess that helps my paranoia sweatdrop hah)
Walking with her I see the a*****e .. I acted on par with the best and made like it was good to see him shook his hand and asked how he was doing. Best we ever got along..wonder if it was fake on his end too.
Then I get back to garden booth I seem to be at so often lately and 3rd coworker walks in shortly after.
Things like this make me wonder if some greater force is sending me a message of sorts. Who knows.

I had this totally weird dream this morning. I was reading the NaNo forums and commenting about something or other - apparently it was next year, I was writing that steampunk romance thing I dreamed about, and... I was saying that I lost this year?
Something about 'Last year I wrote this thing that was supposed to be light fantasy but got dark, and I quit halfway' which is TECHNICALLY true since I was about halfway through the one plot, but...
Then my tamagotchi started beeping (God, why did they make the Music Star tama beep every time it practices its instrument?) and I segued into a dream where I was trying to play games with it but the symbols were all glitchy.

Two words: Christmas. Shopping.
On this blog site I go onto we're all exchanging addresses to send each other Christmas cards, so I have to go out and find pretty ones. Then I need to figure out what to get for my friend Katy and since she's such a girly-girl I don't ******** know what to get her.
And then my friend has a birthday party this weekend that I have to sort out. And I need to sort going to a 30 Seconds to Mars concert in February.
And I need to figure out what to buy my girlfriend because she's so indecisive and doesn't know what the hell she wants half the time. I'm settling on bracelets since she has so many of them.
/rants
I feel better now.

My loud coworker started laughing loudly like an idiot at something I forget...so I started imitating his laugh spot on..so we were both standing on the floor laughing loudly like idiots, gathering looks from both a coworker and a customer. That turns out was the crossing guard from when I went to Middle School. She remembers me cuz she knows my dad razz She didn't comment though.
