Hey, guys!
It's nearing Christmas, one of the most joyous times of the year, and boy do I have something in mind for you! A challenge that will be both an incentive to write and great practice for those struggling out there!

The Challenge?

Write a song, poem, or a short story relating to Christ's birth, Christmas, or even SNOW if you want!
Try to pour some soul into it! I don't want to read something that a robot could spit out by itself. Use creative and unique writing styles!
GO NUTS!

Will there be a prize?
HO YES! Why not get you guys to post more? It's on me, your Captain, Sapph.
Why should I "waste" gold on something? BECAUSE I want to! Besides, play a few games and I get it all back!
I'll give a prize to three people.
There will be three judges,
Me and two others who will PM me this:

CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE! XD
Username:
How long have you been here?:
Any past writing experience?:
Are you willing to give up this challenge so you can judge?:
ARE YOU READY FOR CHRISTMAS?:

And they will each get an unknown sum of gold for helping out!

Rules?
GO NUTS!
HAVE FUN!
GLORIFY GOD!

Aaaaaand GO!

Those Romantic Peaceful Moments

A snowy night,
Wind softly blowing through the tress
Quiet music playing in the background.
An open bible, a small light
Just enough to light the room.
Meeting Him tonight,
So romantic and beautiful,
Beautiful love.

He’s looking straight into my eyes
And He’s whispering His love tonight.
Speaking through His word
Holding me still,
I feel His presence all around
This is more than an ordinary night.

Those romantic peaceful moments
Where He holds me close,
And whispers softly to my soul
Looks into my eyes,
And says I’ve come to make you whole.

Those romantic peaceful moments
When He tells me He loves me,
And His love is beyond measure
Beyond all reason.
That His love came to take away my fears
And wipe away my tears.
Meeting Him tonight in such a beautiful way.

Knowing He loves me
The music plays on,
And with every note
A love song of His own,
Within the lines of another song.
A beautiful melody,
He sings over me
Until the night is done.
Beautiful love.

As the snow falls gently
And rests on the tress,
The wind blows it around
He says it’s just like My love
It rests gently on you
But then I blow it around
To reach others too.
This is more than an ordinary night.

Those romantic peaceful moments
Where He holds me close,
And whispers softly to my soul
Looks into my eyes,
And says I’ve come to make you whole.

Those romantic peaceful moments
When He tells me He loves me,
And His love is beyond measure
Beyond all reason,
That His love came to take away my fears
And wipe away my tears.

What a beautiful romantic night
Meeting with my Daddy my delight,
Hearing His beautiful voice
Telling me I’m His choice.

It’s those romantic peaceful moments
I treasure the most…

If Tomorrow Never Comes

The days are cold and blood freaking red,
All we hear are gunshots and screams of the dead.
It's the War to End All Wars in 1914.
All this bloodshed. What does it mean?
Why are we fighting on this Christmas eve.

But this morning all was silent and clear
not a shot nor a scream did we hear.
Today is Christmas and a miraculous one indeed
The Germans have not fired and neither shall we.
Then out from the snow men appear.
Dressed like the enemy but acting like a friend.

This Christmas morn we will not fight
We sing and talk in a radiant light
Given by fire on a makeshift hearth
I don't mind If I die today, God,
So I won't have to fight again
If tomorrow never comes.

This war isn't ours. This pain however is.
Our blood stains the snow and runs along the ground.
Our brothers lost and burried in heaven shall be found.
When we though the they couldn't be more evil
We were suprised to see an angel not a devil.

Father in heaven you have answered my prayers.
You have given me what my eyes and soul desired.
Was there some angel on the other side
Or was it just our expectations that were defied.

This Christmas night we will not fight
We sing and talk in a radiant light
Given by fire on a makeshift hearth
I don't mind If I die today, God,
So I won't have to fight again
If tomorrow never comes.
I'd gladly die today, Oh God
So tomorrow never comes.
Oh Christ come tonight,
So tomorrow won't have the chance!

Real life fact. This happened on several occasions during World War I. On one occasion German troops actually went to the British trenches to wish them a merry Christmas.
