I've been trying to find ways to curl my hair without heat. I know braiding makes it wavy/slightly curly. But what are ways to actually curl your hair without curling irons, straighteners, rollers, etc??
Also, do any of you ladies have any tips on making your hair healthier and grow faster?

Don't wash your hair every day to make it healthier, hair only needs to be washed about twice a week. You can also try to avoid hair straighteners/curlers and that will avoid the ''breeding'' of dead ends and your hair will keep growing. If you have too many dead ends your hair will either stop growing completely or it will grow, very, very slowly. Source: My sister is a hair dresser

Allow girl the serenity, Foam Curlers... OMG a girl's BEST friendI kid you not, I have wavy to curly hair that is a pain in the a** and REFUSES to stay in heat-induced curls. The girl in the video says to use slightly dry hair, but I take a shower the night before (or several hours before, depending on if I have the time to do it) and wrap my hair in the rollers overnight and let my hair air dry, and my curls stay all day, with no hairspray, no mess and no heat. Foam curlers are cheap (Dollar Tree sells them) and easily replaceable if broken or lost. They come in a variety of sizes and work wonders. to serve Him in peace.

Lady Tatum here This makes my hair SUPER CURLY. Bewareeee This. I tried it once, slept on it overnight and the next morning it was like... whoa. I didn't want curls that severe, so I had to wash it again to get it back to normal. XD You only need to leave it for like an hour or two.
Also, a lot of people swear by using no shampoo. There are tons of no-'poo methods outlined all over the web that say how to cut out the use of shampoo to make your hair healthier (a lot of the foaming agents aren't really that great for your hair, and they can build up in the hair and have to be professionally removed. Shampoo also dries out your scalp, particularly with daily use, causing it to produce more oil than it needs to in order to replace the oil that's been stripped from it, and making you have to wash your hair more often. Vicious cycle. Hair is designed to be self-cleaning, but when we add all these chemicals to it, it struggles to try and take care of itself again.) But I haven't tried it, from a combination of fear and lack of time.

wolf_lover_demon I've been trying to find ways to curl my hair without heat. I know braiding makes it wavy/slightly curly. But what are ways to actually curl your hair without curling irons, straighteners, rollers, etc??
Also, do any of you ladies have any tips on making your hair healthier and grow faster? with out useing heat and with out rollers... the best way that I know to be sure that your hair will curl would be to use "rag rollers/curlers"... basically this is like the most old school for curls that you can get, you get strips of rags/cloth (I have used old flour sack towels, old ripped up sheets and the like). You tear or cut the rag material into strips of cloth, then you get your hair wet like after a shower and twist a section of hair around one of the rag stips. to hold the stip in place you tie the two ends of the strip together... you do this all over your head.... and let your hair dry. Drying takes a long time so when I do this I do it at night before I go to bed and then take them out in the morning. It is bascially like useing a roller set... but it works. the bigger the sections of hair the bigger the curls, the smaller the section the smaller the curl just like with rollers.

There's two simple solutions, one permanent and one temporary: Permanent wave - basically a perm, which makes it permanent. Wet set - wet your hair and put it in rollers, once it dries it will be curly.

I'm known among my friends to be the one with soft healthy hair. What id basicly is: Wash every 2 - 3 days - wash the roots only with shampoo and the ends only with conditioner. Comb your hair after a shower (Never use a brush after showering, it pulls your hair out) Try to use as little heat and chemicals as you can, as this destroys your hair. Dont use hair elastics when you hair is wet, this breaks the hair Also, to make hair friendly hair elastics by some cheapo conditioner and coat your hair elastics is in. Instant hair saver If you have the money for it, opt in buying argan oil. Put this through the ends of your hair, as it will keep your hair from tangling, and it moisturises the ends. My hair grows fairly fast. Get it cut every 6 weeks or so, 6 - 8. THis wont make it grow faster but, when the ends are split they can move further up the strands.
As for curling hair: You could try to wrap it around your finger or a pencil. I ussually use a curling iron, but if you choose this use heat protection spray through the strands and have it on low heat
Hope this helps xx
