The Underdark is a series of interconnected tunnels that criss-cross below the surface of the natural world. For about two miles below the surface lies The Shallows, but below that is The Deeps. These intersecting and skew tunnels run in the upper and middle regions of The Deeps and are full of wild monsters, abberant horrors, and the majority of societies that call the Underdark home. One should always keep all their senses on alert while travelling these tunnels or else you might find yourself suddenly in a desperate fight for your life or sanity.

[-Pelloth-]
Blissfully unaware that Divvirmma was desecrating the traces of himself he left behind Pelloth traveled from House Barriurden to outside of the city on yet another errand he had. This time he was to contact both a group of their slavers and some mercenaries tasked with mapping out an unknown section of tunnels where trouble had been brewing. His meeting with the slavers from his clan was just outside of town and very brief- a few discreet hand signals, two no's, and a yes and the skulk slinked away through the tunnels, presumably going to meet up with a group headed to The Shallows or surface. Pelloth himself quickly took his leave of the place and headed up into another tunnel.
While walking Pelloth started stretching, limbering up, and started drawing in his power, clearly preparing for the meeting that was coming. In just a few hundred feet all the light in the caves from luminescent fungus or small magical nodes disappeared and the path was engulfed in absolute darkness. Beyond Pelloth heard a large number of bodies heavily breathing almost in unison, and Pelloth produced a small orb of gently glowing dark fire revealing a large group of grimlocks- eyeless, hulking, humanoids with ashen skin and weapons at the ready, "Mage," the one at the front breathed. "Gurgd," Pelloth replied, "So how was the-" Gurgd interrupted the drow by slamming his mace down onto the ground, "We want more payment. You not told us was dangerous!" he growled, his muscles tightening in frustration. Pelloth let a guffaw slip before placing a hand over his mouth, "Dangerous? Where isn't? Whatever, what have you done so far?" he asked Gurgd. "We already said, more payment! What's in those caves worth much more than you giving us!" Gurgd said, hoisting his mace up and pointing it at Pelloth, "If you not give more human meat then we not give you anything!" the grimlock roared and then spat at Pelloth's feet. The drow sorcerer's usually smiling face twitched at the disrespectful gesture, "I see, I see..." he muttered. Gurgd smiled maliciously and was about to speak before Pelloth's expression suddenly became terrifyingly dark and grim, "You don't seem to understand your position, do you?" "Talking so big! I'll show you, drow!" Gurgd said, swinging his mace. However, several inches off his skin, black flames appeared to shield the sorcerer, melting the mace mid-swing and leaving the grimlock completely defenseless. The flames jumped forward, wrapping around Gurgd, sending him screaming to the ground. He writhed for a moment before becoming silent and still, all the while quickly being reduced to ash. "As for the rest of you. Go back out and return with a full report or that is what you will all end up as!" he bellowed, sending the rest of the grimlocks running down the tunnels in terror.
