Don't feel bad Aimless. I don't know what has you upset but let me share a story with you to try and show you it's not so bad.
When I was younger, my childhood was relatively decent, but when I turned 13 or so, my family paid less attemtion to me, my grandma is the only one who really does anything with me. My mom calls me MAYBE once a month, but seems so distant from me. My actual father wants little to do with me. And the holidays are particularly bad, my brother and sister usually recieve gifts or warm wishes on holidays, granted, I dont care about gifts, but its the gesture that I'm noticed I love, I dont get anything anymore. Last year all I got was a small journal from my sister, useless to me since I cant write in it. And even then I got it with the feeling of 'oh we'll get it so he wont feel left out'.
Physically my life is comfortable, but emotionally I'm neglected by my family, so be glad you arent ignored like I am smile

Winter always makes me feel poor as s**t. Poor and friendless.

Christmas sucks after age 12, imo.
And you don't know the full reasons behind why someone dislikes the holidays, so it's kinda s**t to be all "WELL YOU DON'T HAVE IT AS BAD AS I DO, EVEN THOUGH I DON'T KNOW YOUR STORY.", js.
I'm still down with Thanksgiving, I like to eat. P:

Aimless Shadow Thanks for sharing your story. It sounds bad and I hope the very best for you. My mom is across the country. And I'm spending it with people who don't get along with me. I don't expect or want presents. I wish I had friends to spend Christmas with. I'm sorry you dont have anyone to really spend the holidays with. You should try playing around on a board or something. It really helps when you find a community to go to smile

What's the use in moping about? Huh? You've got us and that's something right? To be honest it sounds like you're in college, that's how I felt my first year. I'll try to find someway to lighten your mood eh?
