Q: The original senshi have God Names, does that make them Anchient Senshi?

A: Sorta. There is still some mystery surrounding this. What we know is that there used to be Ancient Senshi with their names. They however were in between incarnations at the time of the great evil, having died of a variety of reasons before the evil came. For some reason they didn't reincarnate until much latter in the Silver Millennium. They inherited no memory of their past lives as Ancient Senshi and lost their odd charactoristics, becoming wholey human in appearance. In addition they showed little to no personality carry over from previous incarnations.

Normally a reincarnated Senshi inherits many of the personality traits of her previous incarnation. Memorys also slowly resurface during her lifetime, often during times of great conflict. Lastly their appearance tends to be nearly identical, either from birth, or through changes at puberty.

None of this happened for these Senshi. They and their peers would have no clue others had come before them. We're unsure of why this happened, Some have hypothized that the souls, unneeded for 8 thousand years moved on, and that new souls became attached to the star seeds. Others think that the star seeds were somehow damaged or even destroyed and were regenerated by their home planets, creating whole new senshi of the same names.

Its hard to tell since during the time of the Ancients we were earth bound and unable to locate our heavenly bodies. We were not aware of the link to heavenly bodies until we re-awoke in the 20th century and spoke with other senshi. It may very well be possible that Ancient Sailor Jupiter's celestial body was NOT Jupiter, and that the new Senshi's name is a result of her planet being named after the Senshi who came before her.

Under this theory, It's entirely possible that these senshi may be reincarnated at a latter date, in which case they will probably use one of their other names. Zeus instead of Jupiter, Aries instead of Mars, Poseidon instead of Neptune, etc.
