In the year 10352 scientists made an amazing breakthrough in the cosmetic area. A scientist in the USA figured out how to splice the DNA of animals and humans. He had many experiments, the first of whice all died. Before he died he managed to get three different kinds of splices: Halves, Doubles, and Watchers. the last of these is unknown to the public. After the scientist passed his company to his son, Hiro Tsukasa, Hiro set the experiments loose in the city. He sent the Watchers out to follow one each. Hiro wanted to know if and how they would return to normal life.

That was ten years ago.

Now, Hiro wants his experiments back. He's given an order to his Watchers to collect their target and return to the underground plant where they all came from. But it is hard to harm someone that you know everything about.

Halves
The perfect combination of DNA. Half animal and half human.

Doubles
Humans Spliced with two animals. A very dangerous proceedure. The early experiments all died.

Watchers
A special kind of Splice. The Watchers have no outward appearance on being spliced but they have all the abilities of the animal they are spliced with. They are each sent to watch one experiment.

Bio: Katia was taken as an unwilling experiment when she was little. She was taken off the street while shopping with her parents on winter. She witnessed horrible experiments and even worse recoveries and several deaths. After they were all released she managed to find her way back to her parents' pastry shop. He parents died in a car accident one year ago. She now runs the shop with her brother. She got into street hoverboard racing several years back and hasn't been away from her board since, accept while working.

"This is all I can offer. I am broken, damaged, and hurt. I am different. Will you have me?"

Katia flipped the sign on her shop-door to 'OPEN'. It was eight in th emorning and the smell of fresh-baked pastries filled the shop, tantalizing her cat-like nose. The lights came on as her brother flipped the switch.

"It didn't take you long to get here," she said sarcastically.

"Well thats because our appartment is just upstairs," he reminded her, playfully tugging one of her ears. Katia flicked her tail at him as a timer went off in the backroom kitchen.

"Go get the eclairs and stop messing around," she said. He laughed and went off to the kitchen.

Katia sighed happily as she pulled the last few chairs off the last couple of tables. The shop wasn't that big, but many people liked it. Some had even suggested to her that she should serve coffee too.

Katia chuckled at that thought as she placed the catering book on a display beside the register. Her brother was bringing in a tray of doughnuts to put in the glass case for the first customers.
