I think I'll have less to say about this episode than the others this season. What can anyone say about an episode of something where two characters are stuck in a space where all they do is beat the snot out of each other? The green screen wasn't even all that good this time, especially in the outdoor scenes. Speaking of green, that green filter they had over the picture the entire episode pissed me off. Yes, the space they were in was drab. We got it. No need to make it worse.
About the only things I really liked about this episode were the reference to a book I read this year (The Spy Who Came In From the Cold) and whoever that was doing the stunts in the cloth suit. It may have been Ian Tracey, the actor who played Adam (Jekyll and Hyde), but there's no way to be sure since IMDb fails me at the moment. If the guy in the suit doesn't do motion capture work, he really should. He can act very well and very expressively with his body, not to mention all those stunts. Do video games, buddy. Seriously. Great business.
So, instead of getting clearer, this season plot keeps getting cloudier by the episode. Next week seems to be the big night of revelation (and there's a chance I might miss it since I'm moving into my new dorm room that day). It's starting to get painful, this spreading out of information and sudden revelation that makes no sense in the context it appears in. Cruddy exposition, guys. I was seriously shocked to see that the original series creators worked on this episode. Damian Kindler did the writing and Martin Wood directed. What the hell?! You guys made the web series! Are the studio notes really that powerful?! Here's hoping I get to see the next episode when it comes out and here's also hoping it clears a lot of things up.
