Hello, hello!
Welcome to... uh, this thread. Anyway, we're going to go into our next meta soon!
But wait!
It's not just a meta, but part of the contest for the black dragon. Involvement will get you lots of bonus points when that rolls around. That doesn't mean you have to play a million and one characters or anything. Just, y'know... be involved! We're looking for someone who will play the rarest dragon in the shop, after all, so we want someone active.
This is all going to take a long time, maybe months. But it won't be like our last one. This one will involve very little NPC interaction (although staff may play a PC character of their own sometime) and be completely player driven. We have no idea what will happen at the end because it's up to you.
In the beginning, things will be similar to a create-your-own-story kind of deal. The characters available will have rider's that have one particular trait. The rest you can make up yourself, including about the dragon, but that one thing must stay. For example, we may say a bluerider can't resist flirting with a pretty girl. Then we will tell you the basic setting of the RP and give you a few options that make sense to do at that time.
Now, that may not seem like giving you free range, but we do have to have some order. That part won't last too long, and soon it will be completely up to you what happens in the RPs.
We will be giving out a lot of characters in this of almost every dragon color (including white).
We will only be giving them out as we need them. So, if a character is in the next post, we need them ASAP! "Winners" will be chosen quickly. Please also be mindful of the information provided!

Note: New color dragons will not be available on lines until the new lines are ready, which will be early-mid December.
How do I join?
Just apply for one of the dragon / rider combos! See next post to see if we need anyone at the moment.
How active is 'active'?
Each dragon will have a different number of RPs they're required to do, and how important it is they're active. This is sorted by 'low priority', 'medium priority' and 'high priority'. If a player wishes to bump their dragon up, they can ask, but dragons may not be lowered, so please only apply for those you have time to play!
Can I apply for more than one?
Yep.
Can my character die from this?
It's possible, but only for the ones received from this contest. You could even kill them yourself if you wanted. But everyone who has a dragon/rider that dies will be compensated down the road, and we'll remember which players were good sport's and which ones weren't.
If the staff isn't involved at all, isn't this just a normal RP?
Nope! The staff will be presenting challenges and options for the characters, but what happens as a result is entirely up to them.
Where will this meta be IC?
The Nowhere Islands. Ghenza will probably be involved. We want Telgar to be also. High Reaches, maybe, but not as much since they got the most attention last time.
Staff members CAN apply for these!
If you're on staff and you want to apply for one (or more), go ahead. Your dragon will just be a PC dragon and treated as if you were a normal player.

The drunkard whiterider
"And tha's another thing," X'nar refilled his cup from the large jug of wine on the table and sat back in his chair, "Aryen. Your Aryen. She's a lovely girl, isn' she?" Luscious black hair and large dark brown eyes. Yea. He'd like a bit of that.
"Yes, X'nar," the greenrider across the table from him scowled slightly, "and don't you look like that because she's mine."
"Well..." X'nar took another swig of his wine, frowning thoughtfully before shaking his head. "She wouldn' look twice at me y' know? No. She likes her men a bit... bigger. Sort of bronze bigger, you know? That's what she likes friend; she likes power! I saw her, friend, so actually you're not really right; she's playing you for the fool, and screwing anyone she fancies when y' back's turned." ...Hang on. Oh. Now he shouldn't really have said that. "Err... that's... I mean..." But it was too late.
"You what?"
"Err... Well that's... Umm... Maybe I saw somebody else?" Agh. Shards. He was going to be in for it over this. "I wasn' meant to tell you about that," he mumbled lamely.
"What's going on in here then? Are you alright, darling?"
X'nar looked up, and there in the doorway was Aryen herself. Oh dear.
"You whore!" The greenrider shot to his feet and strode across the room, slapping the black-haired woman across the face before storming out.
For some moments silence reigned. When it was broken, it was broken by the sound of another slap; this time it was Aryen's hand connecting with X'nar's face. "You sharding drunken idiot! You told him, didn't you?"
"Err, well I," X'nar raised a hand to his cheek and blinked blearily, "sort of?"
"Damn you X'nar," the beautiful woman's face contorted into an ugly snarl, "damn you between!"
With those words she too swept out of the room, thus leaving X'nar alone with his glass and his jug of wine. In the aftermath of that blur of action, only one word came to the white rider's intoxicated brain.
"...Woops."

The Gossipy Greenrider
E'za watched as the man left the hall, her gaze following him until he'd rounded the corner and all that remained were the echoes of his footsteps - which were quickly fading away before she scooted closer to the rider beside her, pouring herself a glass of wine from the tankard on the table and using this action to cast a quick look about and ensure no one was listening before lowering her voice to to a conspiratorial whisper "Did you hear about G'bren?"
"No but I'm sure your going to tell me," Replied the rider beside her as he broke off a piece of bread.
"Don't act like you don't want to know," E'za scolded her friend, giving him a playful nudge in the side before taking another sip of the wine and taking her companions slight nod of acceptance as proof to her point. Giving him a smug look she went on in the same low voice as before "I heard he's got the hots for one of the prisoners.."
"Everyone knows that..." He said
"Maybe, but I bet you they don't know which one" She responded with a waggle of her eyebrows.
"Which one? How do you know?" asked the astonished man, recalling how G'bren had been been denying this fact for quite some time now.
"Oh...I have my sources..." E'za teased, as aways enjoying the game of drawing out her revelations.
