׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Crimson stepped on the black mat in front of the clinic, the one that made the doors open automatically. Crimson felt too superior in this state to open doors manually, he stood directly in front of the door. Letting the breeze and God knows what else inside, he smirked. Hands in pockets, clutching lint, cell phone, change, gum, a pack of 57s, and a zippo. All items that could be found on Mr. Skizo at any given time. He took a few strides forward and looked at the receptionist's desk not far from where he was standing. That needed a lot of work, how long had it been since someone had used this building? From the looks of things it was clearly ages.
♫Crimson could only have the best for his clinic, and most of all for his clients. What impression would he make on the island if they saw that the newcomer ran a filthy, dust-covered, s**t-smelling, animal clinic? Well, it'd be unheard of. He knew he had a receptionist, but still no word of a vet. At least since last he checked. He took a few steps to the elevator and pressed the second button floor swiftly, followed by a flip of his hair. He stood there for a few seconds, of course the piece of s**t didn't work. He pulled out his phone and dialed as he walked out. "Umm, yes, sir. I need a mechanic to {address} it seems the elevator isn't working properly. Maybe a few other things. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, thanks." He hung up the phone and began up the stairs.
♫The stock seemed to have come in nicely, although it was all still in the boxes. Hopefully when the receptionist showed up they could spend the day unloading. Oh, how he hoped she wouldn't be a slacker, or annoying, or a whore, well anything non-beneficial to the company. He sighed and took the steps two at a time to the third and final floor. Where the surgeries would happen. It smelled sterile, he inhaled deeply. It was a rather nice fragrance. Everything seemed to be in order up top. He continued back all the way down to the main floor and walked to the receptionist's desk. He sat in the rolling chair and propped his legs up on the desk. Ah, the life of a business owner. If only that damn mechanic would hurry.

Frederick K. Murrow ✪ ✪ ✪With a koala, komodo dragon, tiger, raccoon, and parrot. Frederick walked into the clinic, with two leashes. A blue one with diamonds on the tiger, and a pink one with sapphires on the komodo dragon. The koala was clinging to the back of Freddy's head, while his parrot flew around the clinic happily. As for the raccoon.. well Bandit was far too busy being awesome to care, so he sat on one of the waiting room seats with a newspaper. The rest of the Cantata's heard how he worked for Gino once, and decided to pay him to take their animals to the vet. Easier said than done with these animals! If it wasn't for Bandit being such a boss, he would have such a hard time trying to drag them here. Freddy would greatly have to reconsider staying in Nirvani now! Sure he was being paid a lot to be the Cantata's b***h boy, but he had to go to college, not take a year long break to do this!
Really, working so hard to pleasure everyone! He didn't even have an open hand anymore, and his head was having a hard time keeping up too.. since the koala was heavy and pulling on his hair. Really, being paid to do unorthodoxy things, he was pretty much a prostitute! Once he as in, with all the animals, he stared at Crimson. Looking very tired. "Please tell me this place is open." He asked.

She ran a hand through her bright orange hair in slight frustration and glanced at the map in her hand. She flipped it first to the right, then in a 180 to the left. She was terrible with directions. And appearently map reading as well. She glanced down at the sport watch on her wrist and sighed. In about 10 minutes she was going to be late.
She started moving again, silently praying for the right direction, as she looked down the side streets she passed. Finally, finally, she saw the little building she had been looking for. She let out a giddy whoop and began walking faster toward the building. She would have run, but she was mindful of her laptop in the satchel at her side and the furry ball of mischeif in her backpack.
She made it to the clinic right on time and breezed through the automatic door. Once inside she walked straight to the reception desk and began putting her things down. Immediately after depositing her backpack and white and black face with a soft pink nose began poking out of the flap top.
She gave Crimson a friendly smile over her shoulder. "Good morning, Sir." Having deposited her things she walked over to him and offered her hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm Celeste Trelawny, the receptionist."
She looked around at the clinic and noticed they had some work to do to it. And that was when she noticed Frederick. She gave him his own smile, "Hello again." Wow, he had alot of animals.

׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Crimson dropped his legs from the desk and shook Celeste's hand with a smile, she seemed nice, hopefully a good worker. He walked to Frederick and nodded, "technically we're open. I will assist you momentarily." He smiled at the boy and glanced over all of the animals he had brought in, looked interesting.
♫Crimson then turned to Celeste, "My apologies madam, and I hope you don't mind but I desperately need you to attend to the many boxes on the second floor. There are no set way they need to be shelved or anything, just make sure it makes some sense. Once finished with this gentleman, I will assist you." He smiled and began to turn, "Oh, one last thing, the elevator is broken. A mechanic should be here shortly, but for now, we must use the stairs." He thought over everything quickly and once certain that was everything he turned to the young boy.
♫He smiled again and watched the parrot soar around the upper of the room. "Okay, now what can I help you with?" He began taking off of his coat as he watched all of the animals, figuring he would have to do something on at least one. He chuckled at the raccoon, placing his coat on the armrest of the chair.

Frederick K. Murrow ✪ ✪ ✪With a koala, komodo dragon, tiger, raccoon, and parrot. "Hello Celeste." Frederick said to Celeste, in a rather calm manner.. which to see was a surprise. He was too busy fearing for his life around the tiger and komodo dragon to be able to speak quickly right now. "Well, Giovanni Cantata..." If Frederick knew he would be a mob boss' errand boy, he would have shot himself in the head.. but now he has the mafia family to do that for him! "..Wants me to bring his pets in for a regular checkup. So yeah, not the parrot since that's my parrot." "Squawk! Cheap and broke! Squawk!" The parrot said, before landing on Crimson's shoulder.

׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Crimson smiled and rubbed the parrot's neck softly, "Why ello there." He chuckled at the comment made by the bird and nodded to the boy. "Understood." He knelt down by the tiger and stroked under it's chin. "Very gentle ones you've got 'ere." He nodded and grabbed the leashes from him. He took his free hand and used it to walk the parrot over to the boy and perched it gently on his shoulder.
♫Crimson smiled at Celeste, "Do whatever you will, sir. I'll be back down shortly." He nodded at him then whistled at the pets and they soon followed after him up the stairs. He kept a firm grip on the leashes and pushed the door to the third floor open with his free hand. He pulled them all in with slight force and looked around. Where had the raccoon gone? Of course he'd be the only one to give him some trouble. He sat the leashes down, knowing there wasn't much destruction to be done on this floor and started back down the stairs.
♫He chuckled once back to the lobby, "silly raccoon." He commented and swooped him up into his arms. He started his way back up the stairs and sat the raccoon down on the floor upon arrival. "All right, fella." He walked to the one he presumed would give him the most trouble at the time being, the tiger. He lifted it up onto the counter and stroked under its chin. "It's alright. Not gonna hurt you." He smiled and ran his finger up to its gums, "teeth look nice, ears clean, nose fine, not over or underfed. You look just dandy, mate." He chuckled, letting his native words kick in. He helped it down and with the same manner checked the rest.

Celeste listened intently as he got right to business. He seemed very serious about this place and that made Celeste glad she had gotten the job here. She absolutely hated people who didn;t take their jobs seriously. Especially serious jobs like this one. She gave him a reassuring smile and nodded. "No worries, Sir. I'll be upstairs if you need me then."
She went over to the desk and gathered up her stuff shooing the questing nose back into the bag. After sling each over a shoulder she turned back to Freddy and gave him a bright wave good bye. She had noticed his rather calm demeanor but didn't know him well enough to know if his mood change was normal or not. Maybe the animals had worn him out?
Pondering her new aquaintences she headed toward the stairs and trudged up to the second floor. Celeste was relatively fit, and would have taken the stairs anyway because it was "good" for you but she still hated stairs. They always had her huffing and puffing by the end.
Arriving on the second floor she went to an empty corner and set her stuff down gently on the floor, out of the way. She opened the backpack flap and a streak of grey and black shot out toward the boxes. Celeste chuckled and turned to survey the boxes herself. "Well Azriel, looks like we got our work cut out for us. How about you start from the bottom and I'll work from the top?"
Azriel simply sniffed in her direction before disappearing behind the boxes completely. She shook her finger after his disappearing form. "No stealing anything you little runt!" She rolled her eyes when he didn;t reappear and set to work herself, opening boxes, taking stock, and beginning to unpack, putting things were it seemed most natural for them to go.

׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Within about fifteen minutes, Crimson was strolling down the stairs. Everyone was along this time, at least he hoped. It'd be embarrassing to deal with that twice. He stepped back into the waiting area and smiled at Freddy. "Here you are, mate." He held out the leashes to him and motioned the raccoon on. "It was a joy doing business with you, sir. I'll bill Mr. Cantata once I get everything set up around here." He nodded at the man and walked over to his coat. He pulled out his cigarettes, zippo, and rubber band. He walked over to the doors and waited for it to open.
♫Crimson pulled a cigarette out of the pack and held it to his lips, he lit it and slid the pack and lighter into his pocket. He inhaled deeply, he knew it'd be easy to get used to being boss. He held his cancer stick between his lips and used the rubber band to pull his long hair back. He didn't want it in the way once he began stocking with Celeste.
♫He glanced down the block, sizing up the surroundings for future reference when he spotted the mechanic pulling up. "Glad to see you, come on in." He patted the man's back and ventured back inside. That was Crimson for you, curse you on the inside but be overly kind to your face. He pointed to the elevator, "everything else seems to be in good condition here. I'll be on the second floor if you need anything." He smiled at the man and started back up the stairs. He was very glad the mechanic had arrived, his lungs couldn't handle this constant up and down s**t.
♫Crimson stuck his hands in his pockets as he walked and smiled at Celeste once he arrived on the second floor. He took a few breaths, realizing he'd sound like a total creeper if he were breathing heavy when he spoke to her. "It's turning into a real beaut." He glanced around what she had done so far. "Thanks a lot, it really helps." He strode closer to her, fearing slightly that the mixture of smoke and strong cologne may be a bit off putting. He grabbed a box off the floor and pulled it open and began stocking.

Frederick K. Murrow ✪ ✪ ✪With a koala, komodo dragon, tiger, raccoon, and parrot. Frederick was trying to find something in his pockets and bag, to write down on a piece of paper his number.. or e-mail, whichever. He didn't give it to Celeste. Since he wanted them to be friends, and talk and other friend stuff! He even found a website with things they could do as friends. Like kidnapping, or making a secret language! But he ended up just searching long enough for them to leave. Ah yes. She was there to work, not chitchat with the riffraff. So now it was time to return the Cantata animals, and then go back to the refrigerator box behind the Inn that he hides in during the rain. /Exit Freddy.

Wiping the back of her hand across to get rid of some of the sweat, Celeste used her other hand to reach into an almost empty box, and pulled out the last item. She placed the box of surgical gloves with the other boxes like it then moved the now empty box to the growing pile of empty boxes. She hadn't broken any of the boxes down yet, not sure if Crimson would need them for anything or not.
She was just using her pocket knife to open another box when she heard footsteps behind her signaling the arrival of someone. She closed the knife and turned around, smiling and nodding, her orange hair moving easily with the motion of her head.
As he walked closer then past her to another box she caught a whiff of what must have been his cologne and a slight of cigarette smoke. She wrinkled her nose a bit at the smokey smell, glad that his cologne covered most of it. She actually liked the smell of his cologne though. She shook her head and responded a second later than she probably should have.
"You're welcome, Sir. And your right. It's coming together very nicely. A little bit of cleaning after the unpacking and this place will be amazing!" There was genuine cheer in her voice at the idea. She was really looking forward to working here.
Deciding she should atleast try and get to know her boss a little bit she tried to strike up a little bit of conversation, not sure if he was a talker or not. "So have you been in town long?"

׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Crimson looked over to Celeste with a smile, he was surprised with how much she had already gotten done in the short amount of time. He stuck his nose down and sniffed his shirt as he bent over, he had seen the small twitch of her nose and wanted to be sure it wasn't godawful. The mixture wasn't all that bad, the cologne masked it rather well. "I promise it won't be like this often. Once we get a veterinarian I'll put them to all the hard work." The Aussie chuckled and brushed the few hairs that had pulled loose from his makeshift pony tail behind his ear.
♫He was surprised at the fact that she seemed to be more excited than he was about the clinic. He pulled a handful of squeaky toys out of the box and placed them up on the shelf. "It sure will." He smiled again at her comment of the place, it gave him a sense of pride to know that his establishment was turning to be a nice one. He swung the box into the air and tore the bottom out of it, folding it neatly and sitting it on top of the small pile he had accumulated.
♫Crimson was slightly startled at her question, he figured her kindness was strictly as a your-my-boss basis. But, maybe she truly was a nice girl. He smirked, glad that his back was to her. "Nah, I'm new. Just moved in two days ago actually." He rubbed the back of his neck and went for another box. He ripped the flap open and sat it down on the floor, he glanced over to her and shined his pearly whites at her. "How bout yourself?" He honesty loved talking to people, but he was always the worst with casual talk.

Seeing that he was breaking down all the boxes Celeste took a break from unpacking to break down all the boxes she had accumulated. Using her knife she cut the tape with swift slashes, then flattened the boxes and stacked each on neatly on top of the pile he had made. Surreptitiously she watched her new employer as he unpacked his own boxes. He seemed like a decent guy, not that she thought he'd be a lunatic or anything, she was just a curious being.
She had started on her full box again when he answered her. She looked up to see him smiling at her and she grinned right back. "Me too." She agreed. "New as well, though slightly older than you." She picked up some general medical supplies and deposited with the others that she had already unpacked. "I got here almost a week ago now." Well if you didn't count the month of limbo she had been in. "I'm sort of on haitus from school." She said in a conspiratorial sort of whisper, even cupping one hand around the side of her mouth and widening her eyes to make it more dramatic.
She dropped her hand and laughed softly. "You know, the year off before college thing." She shrugged and turned back to the box she was unloading. "I've never really been away from home before, so this is going to be a big adventure." She said rather lamely, laughing at her cliche sounding babble. She shook her head and turned back to Crimson. "Sorry, I like to talk to new people, but I feel bad asking too many questions so I tend to babble incessantly." She said apologetically before asking him another question. "Have you settled in ok? I probably don't know much more about the island than you do, but if you need any help I would be happy to try and help!"

׺°”˜`”°º×Ȼяɩɱsѻɳ Ϩқɩɀѻ׺°”˜`”°º× ♫Crimson nodded at her once she began to place the boxes on his stack. Ugh, this stock was taking forever. Nothing like he had planned. He grabbed one of the bigger boxes and pulled the flap back swiftly breaking the seal. He wiped his forearm against his forehead, who knew stocking would be such hard work? He lifted the top bag of dog food that was within and walked it over to the adjacent shelf.
♫"Oh, yeah?" He glanced at her during his short walk over. "If you don't mind me asking, madam, why did you leave?" He knew that could easily be taken as prying, but this was a business agreement and you never knew what to expect as a new boss in a new town. Maybe this quaint little place he stumbled upon was home for all the psychopaths? Or thieves? That would be great, spend all this time stocking just to come back the next day to see it all gone. His eyes trailed back over to her, meh she didn't look the type. But, this information could give him some more insight.
♫Crimson boomed with laughter once again, he often found it quite embarrassing. His laughter was always the loudest thing in the room. "Haha, I know what you mean. It took me three years to finally go back." He carried another bag of dog food over, he made a mental note to not work out for the rest of the we---month.
♫He shook his head at her when she apologized, "It doesn't bother me, in fact, quite the opposite." He smiled once again, he then felt that he may smile too much. Hopefully, she wouldn't think he was a creeper. He chuckled and grabbed another bag, "Yeah, I've settled in fine. Bought the little cottage around the corner, actually." He chuckled. "I haven't been anywhere but here so far, and I honestly barely found it." He laughed, this time slightly louder. Attempting to tone himself down, he finished that box off and wiped his forehead again. "Damn, that was a lot of stock. I don't imagine we'll ever get that much freight again." He said with a grin and walked over to her side to help her finish her box off.

She broke down her box and turned to open the very last box in the room. Yipee! They were almost done. Normally, she was all for a good hard day of work, but there had been a large number of boxes and truth be told Celeste hadn't planned for unpacking today and feeling sticky and hot when she hadn't planned to be was making her a bit uncomfortable.
She grabbed the neck of her shirt and flapped it a couple of times to try and circulate air into her shirt. When that didn't work as well as she had hoped she went back to unpacking. ʻʻI don't mind at all.ʼʼ She assured him. ʻʻI come from a very small town, one where everybody knows everybody, ya know? Where your neighbors would scold you like you were there own if you messed up and where no one locks their doors because that would mean the town wasn't as close-nit as we thought, and where everyone else knows who you like before you do, knows your secrets before you can tell them and generally everyone just butts into your life whether you want them to or not.ʼʼ She said a bit passionately, as if it were something she had often thought about. But as soon as the words were out of her mouth she regretted them and she immediately looked over to Crimson, eyes wide before shaking her head. ʻʻNo, no. I didn't mean it that way. It really is a great place, and I truly do love it there, but I woke up one morning and realized I needed to see atleast one other place before I went back home to go to college and the rest of my life in the same little town. I guess... I guess I got a little claustrophic.ʼʼ She laughed a bit weakly and turned back to her box, taking a deep calming breath.
When she felt a little calmer she gave him a small smile over her shoulder. ʻʻThree years? Did you even remember anything when you got back? What did you do for three years?ʼʼ Celeste was good at school, and honestly, she was more afriad of getting a job then going to college. Oh not of being a receptionist here at the clinic, but of choosing something to do for the rest of her life! She was easygoing enough, and comptenet and organized enough to be good at the receptionist job, and while she planned to be here a while, it had never been a permanent choice.
Celeste smiled a little self consciously when he said her babbling didn't bother him, and it turned into a full out grin when he said he almost couldn't find the place. She doubted his sense of dircetion was as bad as hers, but it still made her fell a little better. ʻʻI almost couldn't find it either. To tell you the truth I got lucky.ʼʼ She had no idea what cottage he was talking about so she just nodded encouragingly.
At his mention of the stock she laughed. ʻʻDear God I hope not! I don;t think we would have room for too much more.ʼʼ She said as she deposited the last item on the shelf, leaving him with the empty box. She turned back to him and clapped her hands together in front of her, a little giddy now that the work was done. ʻʻDone!ʼʼ She turned to him with a teasing smile. ʻʻWhat next?ʼʼ
