I just recently saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (which was AWESOME, by the way,) but there was one thing that bugged me a bit; the score. for those of you who aren't movie music nerds like me, a score is the music that plays throughout the movie. the music in the other six movies was amazing, by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, and Nicholas Hooper. however, for DH part 1, Alexandre Desplat was... silent. there was barely any sound to accompany the action that was going on in the movie, which was disappointing. plus, I only got a little taste of Hedwig's Theme at the very beginning, which is what I think of whenever I think of the Harry Potter movies. what do you guys think?

Now that you mention it, there was an absence of music... I didn't really notice then, but thinking back I can't recall a single moment of music.

I am absolutely convinced that this is why some people found the movie terrible. I hope John Williams comes back for the very last one, we need him! music pretty much makes every emotional/action scene, wouldn't you agree? otherwise, it's just people running around doing things. that's why I'm going to change the world into a musical when I grow up. xd

I actually don't mind that there was a lack of music in many parts. In other parts there was music but it was faint, to where you might have not even noticed.
I am a musician, but my stance with movies is that it has to be on a case-by-case basis, and I just think that music would have actually distracted the audience from the movie.
