Tock entered the bar, a blast of warm air greeted him. It was a nice escape from the biting cold on the outside. Honestly, Tock had no clue why he was in here. It had been impulse to come in in the first place, he doesn't even drink. Perhaps he just wanted to come in because it looked so welcoming warm. He shrugged as he pulled the hood of his jacket off of his head. He was here, so he might as well make the most of it. Tock shoved his hands in his pockets and looked around. No one else was in there as far as he could tell and he couldn't decide if this was a good or bad thing. He sighed as he took a seat at the bar. The place was nice, but it looked kind of old fashioned. He liked it. When the bartender asked him what he wanted, he didn't know what to say. He had never been a drinker so he had no clue what kind of drinks there were. He settled on telling the bartender to give him whatever the bars 'specialty' was.
When it came, Tock took a sip without hesitation. He had to try really hard to keep the grimace off of his face. It was disgusting and made him want to vomit. But that was just him. Tock never really had much of a taste for alcohol. He sighed and cupped his hands around the glass, looking down at his reflection. It rippled as the liquid did. Tock had a hard day. He was just fired from another job for who knows what, so he wasn't exactly in a good mood. He stared down at the drink and then took another sip. He had to pay for it anyways so he might as well. Tock looked over his shoulder at the empty bar. It was eerie quiet, not the way a bar should be. Despite himself, he was half hoping that someone would come in. Then at least it wouldn't be to silent in here.

Яutén Nakayaki ✔Systems are now updating... Ruten casually opened the door of the bar as he shivered off the cold from his slim shoulders. Being from the burrows, he wasn't very accustomed to low altitude weather. Going over to the bar and taking a seat, he ran his fingers through his hair as an attempt to get rid of the snow that had accumulated in it. Ruten laid his arms onto the bar, calling the bartender out to get his blood warm again. Calling for some french coffee, the bartender just nodded in silence and made it in haste, quickly handing the product over to him. He smiled with delight, taking a sip of it, the warm liquid swishing around his mouth as if to comfort his current state. ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ Ruten was having a creativity block, going out for a 'walk' to try and cure it. Systems were alright in the Burrows, but he felt the city needed more, but what? More lights? Buildings? He couldn't find the right answer. In contemplation, he gripped his mug, feeling the grasp of the warmth around his fingers. This didn't feel like it was helping, but he would end up trying it until it suddenly came to him like always. He sifted the bangs out of his face and sighed, watching as the steam from the mug dissipated into the air around him. ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ Setting the heated mug down, he realized another customer was beside of him. He tilted his head in silence, finding himself staring at the one stranger. Does he not like his drink? he thought as he contemplated the current state of the mans face. It was a rough expression that Ruten had only seen on people had a lot on their mind. Despite his better judgement, he decided to be friendly, giving off a curious smile to the man. "Hello." he said in politeness. "Does your drink not satisfy you?" he asked in curiousity as he took another sip of his coffee. ︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼ ✖An error has occurred. Reload?

victor walks in, he had not been back to his icey home for nearly 2 years. he was dressed in all the wrong ways for such a cold place yet he was not cold if anything he would like it colder. he sits at a table in the back thinking of how useless his trip was, 2 years.....wasted. he sighs and orders something to drink, as he waits for his drink he starts to think of what to now.

Tock glancd up at the stranger. He sighed and looked back down at his drink, running his fingers along the rim. he looked back up at the stranger. Figuring out how to describe the drink in a way that wouldn't offend the bartender. "Um, it's....interesting. It has a distinct taste" he told the guy, with a heavy sigh. Tock looked at the stranger again. He was rather slender and looked like he was freezing his a** off. This brought a slight smile to Tocks face. He was always freezing when he first moved here. He must not be from around here.... he thought. But he found it better not to ask the guy where he was from. Tock never answered that question so he never asked it. It was someting he found awkward.
Tock took another sip of the drink and made another face. It was really strong. He wasn't a drinker per say, so he wasn't used to this kind of stuff. Of course he drank beer when he was still in the gang with the guys, but that was about it. He sighed again, figuring that he would talk to the guy since he had nothing better to do. With the kind of day he had had, it was better to not dwell in the silence. He stuck out his hand, "I'm Tock, by the way." He said to the stranger as he waited for the handshake that usually followed that gesture. Tock was never really one for small talk but he found that talking to total strangers wa interesting and life could be boring somethimes. Anything for a little bit of fun right?

Яutén Nakayaki ✔Systems are now updating... Ruten started to chuckle a little as tock took more of his drink in. Must not be into alcohol. he thought as his glass reached the tip of his lips. What stumped him is why he'd be in a bar in the first place. He was there too, though, so he decided not to ask. "Mine is Ruten." he replied simply. "And if you do not like your drink, try another. No use taking it in if it tastes gross." he said, calling the bartender over. Ruten asked for another of his drink and gave it to the stranger. "French coffee is better for people who don't like a strong alcoholic taste." ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ Him himself wasn't an avid drinker. He truthfully hated the taste of most alcohols, but this was the first building he came across. Plus, french coffee tasted like hot chocolate to him. He sat his cup down and shivered a little, still feeling like he was outside in the snow. The burrows didn't really have a lot of snow. Instead, the weather was pretty neutral there, and he was always working indoors.Ruten looked around the bar, wondering why he came here first. Maybe opposite do attract... he thought, finishing his drink with satisfaction. He looked over at Tock with a curious smile. "You must have had a rough day if you came here." he said, looking over to a window. He could see a small figure in the distance; what he identified to be a ship. Getting busy already, huh? ︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼ ✖An error has occurred. Reload?

Tock nodded his thanks to Ruten for the coffee. He pushed his own drink out of the way to make room for the new drink. Graciously, he took a huge gulp, washing out the stronge taste of the previous drink. He was greatful for that. The coffee wasn't that bad either. This was one of the few times Tock had ever drank coffee. It was actually really good, he liked it a lot better than the alcohol and the warmth of it felt good. He cupped his hands around the glass. "Thanks man." he said.
Tock glanced at Ruten and raised an eyebrow at him. He was still shivering and it made Tock laugh a little. By now, most people would have warmed up. Then again, some people didn't like the cold like he did. He sighed when Ruten said he must have had a bad day. "You can say that again. Being fired is really not a pick me up, you know?" he siad with another sigh. He had been sighing a lot lately, he couldn't help it. Tock followed Ruten's gaze out the window. He inclined his head at the ship in the distance. He could barely make it out. He wondered for a moment what it was for but didn't say anything. How would Ruten know what a ship was doing out there?

Яutén Nakayaki ✔Systems are now updating... Ruten shook his head, getting his mind off of the ships. He chuckled and nodded. "I know what you mean." He smiled for a moment, disapearing a second later. "Although, I don't think I can be fired anymore." He sighed as he looked over at Tock. "I'm assuming you live here, right?" he asked curiously. "I don't really see how you're adapted to the cold like this. It's pretty remarkable. But then again, I've only been in snow like this once or twice." he said, asking the batender for another drink. ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ This man's company is..interesting he thought as he gaze turned back to the window. All his life, Ruten was fascinated by the concept; ships...flying? It was the single best idea of his life. The only problem was that they were prone to getting struck by lightening. maybe it was odd that he kept staring out the window, smiling to himself. He shook his head again, taking a few gulps of his drink. A satisfied sigh whispered out of his lips. ︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼ ✖An error has occurred. Reload?

He was handed his drink and he downed it quickly and asked for another. He was still mad about the failer of his journy, but he would soon quickly get over it once the alcohal got to him. He drank one after another and by the end their were 20 empty glasses on his table "why do demons hafe to have such a high alcohal resistance.....". He sighs and pays for the drinks

Tock laughed a bit as he finished his coffee. He gently put the glass down and pushed it forward to let the bartender know that he was done with his drinks. Tock looked down at his clothes. Simply jeans and a jacket. He chuckled a bit more as he said, "I guess its kind of obvious to tell who lives here, huh?" By now, all traces of cold had left Tock and he was actually getting rather warm. He had only been living here for a short while, but that was long enough for him to fully adapt to the cold. I suppose that people who live in the cold don't really get cold. he smiled to himself.
Tock jammed his hand in his pocket, grabbing a box of matches that he always carried with him, however he didn't smoke. Considering what he worked with, it was normal for him to have matches with him. Tock usually had much worse than matches on his person. He turned to face Ruten. He noticed that Ruten was once again looking out the window. "Might I ask why you keep looking out that window?" Tock wouldn't normally ask questions like that, but he was getting kind of curious.

Яutén Nakayaki ✔Systems are now updating... Ruten flinched and turned his head toward Tock. "I'm just... Staring at the ships." he replied with a smile. He knew he was starting to space out and sighed at himself. "Have you seen them? The ships, I mean?" he asked curiously. He smiled happily, thinking of his masterpiece. "I'm actually the one who made them." Ruten loved his job; the amazing way everyone seemed to get things done, the cluttered space he spent most of his days in. It was impossible for him to feel more for anything else at the moment. ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ Ruten was always more comfortable around machines. He rarely talked to people, but found himself enjoying the company of tock. This is a first, he thought he sifted his fingers through his hair. "My 'job' calls for much on my part, but I've got a mind block." A smile slowly ran across his face. "I was out for a walk to clear it." He at tock with curious interest, scanning him from head to toe. He seemed like a strong fellow, able to keep his pace in any regular job. Why was he fired though? This question kept running through Ruten's mind with no rest. "What kind of work were you in?" he asked, unable to let his curiousity subside. ︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼ ✖An error has occurred. Reload?

"Wow, thats amazing." Tock said refering to what Ruten's job was. Being sort of into mechanics himself, Tock found it really interesting. At Ruten's question, Tock sighed. It was hard to explain what exactly he did. Hes had many odd jobs since he ran away. Some legal and some not. "Well, I've had many jobs..... he trailed off. He decided to just explain his last job. "I worked in demolition. I was the guy who got to blow stuff up." he smiled a bit. At least he got to work with explosives in his last job.
Tock felt that Ruten might ask why exactly he got fired so he just decided to say it before it was asked. "Lets just say that I took my last job a little to far. Don't experiment on the job, by the way." He laughed. He had been making his own bombs for demolition and taking that chance to test them out. He had made some.....miscalculations with the last bomb and it blew up more than he had expected it too. Tock sighed. It was going to be hard to find another job that involved explosives. If he couldn't find one he didn't know what he'd do.

Яutén Nakayaki ✔Systems are now updating... Ruten smiled for a moment. "But that's how I get my best idea's." he replied happily. Demolition, huh? he thought to himself, thinking of what he must've done to get fired. Big boom= fired. "Too much firepower, I'm assuming?" he said, chuckling a little. As much as he like'd technology, he loved the sound of bombs. He was weird like that. After he found no use for a project, he disposed of it, but now he was thinking of something a bit more inspiring. ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ Ruten was a person who could only create, never destroy. Maybe that was why his place was so cluttered; not a thing had been thrown out since his birth. I guess you could categorize him as a packrat. "This has been my only job, and I gave it to myself. You just need better employment." he said, a few chuckles still in him. Then an idea came to mind. "Would you come work for me? I need a few things disposed of by your expertise." he said with a grin, hoping the man would take him up on his offer. "Although, the work I'm offering you isn't here." It was actually pretty hard to find someone who dealt with explosives. He spent days trying to find someone a few months ago, but his search seemed endless, so he quit. Maybe he could help. ︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼︻ ︼ ✖An error has occurred. Reload?

Tock smiled. A job with explosives? Just being handed to him? Now this was an offer that he could not refuse. He nodded his head. "I'll do it. No matter where it is." Now his day was turning around. That impulse that had led him to come into this bar was good, if he hadn't gone into this bar, he would have never been offered this job. He smiled more. "A drink and now a job? he laughed. "Getting fired has turned into a good thing." he laughed.
"So, what do I have to do for this job?" he asked. Tock had sort of just accepted the job without thinking. Of couse he didn't really care what is was as long as it involved explosives. "Oh, and where is it exactly?" As much as he wanted the job, if it was in the Kingdom by the River, he would have to say no. He couldn't go back there. Same goes for the kingdom of fire. The last thing he needed was for his past to come back and haunt him.
