Squad 5 is well-known for their knowledge of energy and mastery in the way of Kido. There are four types of Kidos Bakudo (縛道, "Way of Binding" also known as Defensive, Communication, Binding, Tracking and Sealing spells), Hado (破道, "Way of Destruction" also known as Offensive spells), Jokou (サポート, "Way of Support" also known as Helper spells), and Chiyudo (ヒーリング, "Way of Healing" also known as Healing spells). Hado, Bakudo, and Jokou are consider Combat Kido Spells, this squad only focus on Combat Kidos to help them out in battle because they have no use for Chiyudo spells they leave those spells for Squad 4.
This squad duty is not only to create new Combat Kido Spells, as well as investigating and research energy levels after the battles are over so that if there are ether new energy surges or any old energy surges that was not carefully looked through for the lack of details it had so that they can get more information on it so that they can use the information they collected to come up with more and better Combat Kido Spells.
