To the people who read this message, you are probably wondering why I have stooped to the level of suicide and why my dead body lays on the cold floor of my lab...well this will provide to you the answer. As you will soon discover in about a month there will be a massive virus spreading here in America and soon to be passed to Asia and will continue on over the globe. This virus can not be stopped and will bring great pain to the world...in fact it just might be the end of the world. Now that you understand my reasoning of committing suicide, I also have provided a solution for you. On my desk written on a piece of paper is a formula. This will make humans immune to the virus, but since I have died before testing it I have no idea the outcome of this cure. Create the injection at your own risk.
-Professor Alenburg- 2028- A large epidemic has spread all over the world turning normal civilians into blood thirsty monsters. Only a few humans remain alive and they fight to stay alive, but there is also another race created with the help of Professor Alenburg. This race is called The gifted. They have been given supernatural powers and also immunity to the virus. Unfortunately humans don't have, and never will have, the ability to control their powers. Some of these people go insane from the amount of power they posses and sometimes they even commit suicide. One man felt so powerful he even started a Clan to over through the world and be rid of ordinary humans all together. This man is now feared by many including another clan who is determine to stop the unneeded blood shed. Which side are you on?Human- You are useless, all you have is your weapons to defend you. You refuse to take the cure or you were never given the opportunity due to financial problems. Your life is survival since you could easily be infected by the virus still spreading. The gifted- People who have received the cure. You are immune to the virus and have a supernatural power. The more you use your power the weaker you become. If you use too much of your power at once you will either go insane or die. Two clans for the gifted: Redemption(Protect humans, fight monsters), Consumption(Gain power, take over the world). There are also the gifted people who haven't joined a clan and travel around defending themselves. They are undecided. Characters:RP by: ashford211994 Name: Mary Age: 18 Gender: female Race: Human (Or so she thought) Personality: Even though she is very tiny and look vulnrable she has a very strong personality. She despises rude people. Other Info: Her mother vacinated and her father was human and when she was born they went to go get her vacinated, but for some reason she was immune to the injection and also immune to the virus. Her father died of the viruswhen she was 10 and her motherwas murdered by the other clan when Mary was 13. She ran away from home and found a place to stay by herself. She doesn't know this yet, but she has super strength and she can travel in peoples dreams along with effect the dreams. Appearance: Very petite and short. RP by: ashford211994 Name:Alyssa Age:17 Gender: Female Race: Gifted (Undecided) Personality: She is very independent and doesn't want any help with anything. She may seem like she is a tough girl, but really she is actually very sensitive. Other Info: She has the ability to effect a persons mind. She can make them believe anything or even make them feel pain. She owns a small dagger. She was an only child and when the vaccine came out her parents could only afford her to be given the injection. Her parents soon became infected and Alyssa ran away. Appearance: RP by: MitashiUchiha16 Name: Antionette Moore (Toni) Age: 17 Gender: F Race: Gifted, Redemption Personality: Tony is usually very quiet and doesn't say much. It's not that she's shy or anything. In fact, she's pretty outspoken when it comes to certain things (like Consumption, to which her brother belongs). But she tends to stay out of conflicts, preferring to mediate them with her awesome advice-giving skills. She dreads the day when she will have to confront her brother, although it is her main drive: to bring him over to the good side before the (over)usage of his powers kills him. Other Info: Her older brother (Lucian Moore, 19), is a prominent member of Consumption. Their parents were killed by the virus, shortly after the children were vaccinated with the cure. They were seperated, each seeking to avenge their parents. Thomas swore revenge on all humans, while Toni pledged to help them, and rescue her brother from the corruption of Consumption. They both have supernatural powers. Toni has the ability to control the air around her, while her brother can shoot beams of psychic energy out of the palm of his hand. Appearance: RP by: MitashiUchiha16 Name: Lucian Moore Age: 19 Race: Gifted, Consumption Personality: Unlike his sister, Lucian didn't let the death of his parents get in the way of his big mouth. He's very provocative and loves to get people riled up. But when he's in emo mode, he can go for days without speaking to anyone. He has somewhat of an anger issue and tends to get very violent if something doesn't go his way. Other Info: Lucian swore revenge on the human race the day he saw Toni crying over the death of their parents. He was enraged when she decided to join Redemption, and pledged to kill her for his clan's prestige. Although she is his sister, he refuses to acknowlege his inherent love for her and sees only what the ideals of Consumption tell him to see. Appearance: RP by: Epic Irony Name: Josh Stokes Age: 17 Gender: Male Race: Gifted, Undecided Personality: Brash, stubborn, hasty, reckless to the point of breakneck stupidity. But loyal and strong, hard to break. Harder to befriend, and even harder to get trust from. He has very few friends, but the ones he does are the best friends anyone could have. Other Info: Josh's power is Telekinesis; he can move things with his mind. It often happens accidentally, without him meaning to. Especially during outbursts of emotion. It can happen with a simple accidental thought. Appearance: RP by: King Tripp Veltryn Name: 'Jack' Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: No Gift For You! Personality: Jack is very closed off. His life has been dedicated to surviving, and he has found the best way to do that is to be alone. He is very intelligent, cold, and cocky, but then again, noone knows for sure since he doesn't open up. Other Info: Jack's parent's were wealthy enough to afford the 'cure' and Jack's brother even took it. When the side effects showed up his parents took the cure also, but Jack refused it. As a last sintement his father gave him money to support himself for a few months, two Dual Pistols to defend himself with, and his last words of wisdom. His brother gave him a set of Brass knuckles he used to carry around at school to defend himself, and his mother just cried. Jack would not be apart of the family, when it meant risking who he was. Alyssa was running through the think forest frantically. She was running away, trying to escape. Tears were running down her fair and soft cheeks as she panted and pushed herself through the brush. She tripped over a branch and fell down scraping her knee, but she stood back up and continued running. The tears in her brown eyes were blinding her. Don't turn back! Don't turn back! Fear could be seen in her brown eye wide with terror and drenched with tears.

Toni walked through the tall grass of the forest, every once in a while picking up a a mushroom or a berry and popping it into her mouth. The wind blew through her short, blond hair, and the fresh smell of a new morning caressed her nostrils. She smiled. Everything was so wonderfully peaceful... Suddenly, she heard a rustling behind her, and what seemed to be the sobs of a young woman. She seemed to be fleeing something, and from the looks of it, she was very distressed. The girl kept running, and Toni approached her, catching her before she could run any farther. "Now, now..." she cooed gently, looking the girl (who seemed no older than she) in the eye. "No need to be afraid, there's no danger here..."
Lucian sat darkly in his room. A single ray of light shone in through the dirty window, making dim shadows on the stone wall. He stared at the photograph of Antionette on his desk. Her back-length, pink hair was blowing softly in the wind behind him, tied into a haphazard ponytail with a large, yellow bow. They were both smiling, arm in arm, on their last family vacation. Before the damn humans messed everything up. When he was still happy, and not cursing fate. He frowned, wondering what Toni was doing right at that very moment. He stood up, walking over to his unmade bed and plopping down onto it, pulling out his family photo album. Toni... he thought, flipping through the pictures. Toni... Toni... Toni...

"No! I can't stop! I need to go!" she shouted fighting against the her and trying to get around her, but she was so worn out and weak that it seemed almost impossible. She calmed down a bit and took in a deep breath then collapsed to the forest floor. "My parents...they told me...I have to stay away...don't come back." She covered her face with her hands as her tears continued to drop down her face. Her body shook as she took in deep breaths attempting to calm herself down.

"Shh..." Toni whispered, kneeling down next to her. She put her arm around the girl's shoulder. "It's alright now. You're safe here, you don't have to run away anymore." The girl continued to cry, and Toni summoned a cool breeze to dry the tears away. "Why don't you tell me your name, huh? Introductions are necessary in cases like these." Toni looked at the girl sadly. She was obviously another victim of the virus. Her family was probably in dire straits; the girl must have felt like there was no other option but to flee. She hugged the girl tightly, whispering soothing words whilst she calmed down. Toni would have been grateful if there had been anyone to hug her when she was crying. But Lucian had done nothing but watch with cold eyes as she begged him not to leave her...
Lucian dropped the album onto his chest lazily as he looked out of the window. Blue skies, deserted city streets... He looked past the tall buildings and was able to make out the train station in the distance. The locomotive's horn tooted lazily as it entered the station. That train could take him directly to her. To Toni. He knew the conductor. Consumption, like him. It was an all Consumption express train to Fallhaven City (the largest abandoned city that belonged entirely to Consumption; the main base was there, if he recalled correctly). Not a single human got off alive. All Lucian had to do was bring a little show of power, and the dude would drop him off right by the forest, where Lucian knew Toni was staying in a little hut by herself. Take her out, easy as that. But her fellow clan members were so protective of her... it would mean suicide for all of them. Consumption was severly outnumbered, and with less and less nomads joining the cause, it was becoming rather problematic. He got up out of bed, ruffled his hair, and pulled out his favorite leather jacket. His red eyes blinked unemotionally as he opened the door to his apartment. First stop, supermarket, where he'd convince that Gifted girl April to give him some free food. And blow her brains out if she didn't comply. Next stop, his sister, and any other whining, mongrel brat with super powers she was harboring in that little sanctuary of hers...

She took in one last calming breath and looked up at her. "Alyssa." She said as the tears were blown away. She was done crying, there was nothing left for her back home and there was no use crying about it. She made a promise to her parents that she would stay safe and never go back. "Sorry about all this, I guess I should have used more self control." She said standing up and brushing the dirt off of her clothes, but then she felt a sharp pain in her ankle and she winced in pain. Also she had a large scrape on her and her blood began to drip down her leg. I guess that is what I get for being so clumsy. "Would you mind if I went to your place to get cleaned off?" She asked politely.

"Don't apologize." Toni answered, smiling. "I had to learn to stop crying, too." She helped her stand, and calmly observed the cut on Alyssa's knee. When the girl asked to accompany her, Toni smiled again. "Why of course not! I was just heading back. Did you have breakfast yet? Are you hungry?" Toni like Alyssa. She was strong, like her. They would become good friends.
Lucian walked down the steps slowly. If the train was getting here now, he'd have to wait a few hours until the next one arrived. He padded out onto the street and embraced the silence that was the deserted city. Walking into the supermarket, he saw April restocking the shelves. "Get the hell out, Lucian." she snapped without turning her head. "I just want a croissant." Lucian answered quietly. "I'm going to visit Toni." "Oh please. She'll kick your a** before you even get within ten feet of her." April replied, but got off her stool and went to the counter. She pulled out a bag and handed it to him. They had been friends since childhood. Having both recieved the vaccine as opposed to their parents, both were orphans. But that didn't mean they liked each other. It was more of a love-hate relationship. "I put jam on it already. And tell Toni I said hi." she replied as he walked out of the door towards the train station...

Alyssa looked up at her and when she mentioned food her stomach made a loud and hungry noise. She laughed a little and scratched the back of her head. "Yea I guess I am hungry." She said. They began their walk down a dirt path in the woods and every step Alyssa made it became more painful to walk. She figured that she had twisted her ankle back in the woods, but it wasn't that serious...she could bare with the pain.

Toni could see that Alyssa was in pain. From the pidgeon-toed way she was walking, it looked as if the girl may have twisted her ankle when she collapsed on the ground. Toni, wanting to alleviate the pain as much as she could given the circumstances, summoned a discreet wind from within the tall grass to offer Alyssa an... uplift, if you will, that made her lighter and therefore took the weight off the injured foot a bit. Satisfied that she had done her part for now, she attempted to make light of the situation. Although Toni wasn't much for small talk, she figured it would be the best way to momentarily take Alyssa's mind off of the pain, atleast until they reached the little cabin in the woods where she lived. "So where are you from? Do you have any special powers?" she asked cheerfully, although it was a rather unusual subject. People usually didn't just come out and talk about their powers. But it was the one thing Toni knew they both had in common. She could tell Alyssa had seen the virus just by looking into her sad, brown eyes, and since she hadn't caught it, she must have been vaccinated, like Toni and Lucian.
Lucian bit hungrily into his breakfast. April had done well, as he had expected her to. The food was good... almost too good. But he didn't care. It was getting harder to sustain his health now that he was using his powers more and more. Those pesky humans were getting on his nerves, so he had no choice but to blast them into oblivion. No, he didn't have money or food. Not for them. If they were lucky, April would give them a free sample. Otherwise, they would have to pay an enourmous sum to get supplies. Lucian chuckled to himself. Good ol' April. Refuses to admit she's Consumption because she's scared to go to Fallhaven for the initiation. But knowing him made her Consumption by association. Like Toni. His smile faded and was replaced with a scowl. That little traitor. Unbelievable, that she would abandon her own blood and fight for the damn untalented pests with their stupid guns and crap. Whining mongrels with nothing better to do than to scrounge around for the cure, hoping they don't get infected in the process... hell no! He had the vaccine. A drop of his blood, and any human would be cured. Toni must've donated gallons of the holy water already. But more and more people were getting infected everyday. There was no point. Let them die, he thought, walking faster towards the train, which was slowly pulling into the Brookstone Main. One more cause to inspire my sister.

Alyssa sudden felt a soft gust of wind blow underneath her and suddenly she felt as if she was walking on air. She figured that this was her friends doing and that was her power. "Oh I am from Pitsburg and I have the ability to affect a persons mind." She said to her with a smile.

"Ah...I see... I 've only been to Pittsburg once before. You're from the West, I assume." Toni replied simply. "What an interesting power." she continued. "My power, incase you haven't noticed, is the ability to control the air around me. Very practical." They continued walking until they arrived at Toni's flower-adorned cottage. "Well, here we are."she said, motioning for Alyssa to sit on one of the benches by the door. "Make yoursef comfortable here, I'll be right out with some supplies." Lucian trotted into the train station, tossing the bag into a trash can. He waved at the conductor in the window of the locomotive. "Morning, Luke. Haven't seen you in a while, not since you came to Fallhaven. Where to? Paying that little brat a visit?" he asked as other passengers began to board. Lucian shrugged. "Just drop me by Greenway Forest." he replied, not in the mood to talk. The conductor chuckled. "Will do, Luke. And give her a kiss from me, will ya?" The energy built up in Lucian's fist. Everyone knew the man had sexual interests in his sister. Always had. But, instead of wasting his time on the idiot driving the train, he hopped into the second car as the whistle blew, signaling their departure. Oh I will... he promised.

Alyssa smiled at how homy her house looked. She loved the scents of the flowers in the air. She could just live there, but she didn't want to intrude. She sat down on teh small wooden bench and looked out at the rainbow of colorful flowers.

Toni walked back out carrying a first aid kit. She knelt down to inspect Alyssa's ankle. Yep, definately sprained. she thought, pulling out a roll of bandages. She looked up at the girl and smiled cheerfully. Alyssa seemed to like it here, from the blissful smile on her face. Suddenly, an idea occured to her. "You say your parents told you to run away?" she asked. "Where do you plan on staying? Because I have more than enough space... and I could use a nice roommate."
Lucian shifted uncomfortably in the traincar. It had been months since he had left Toni on her own. He began to wonder how she was doing, who else she had recruited with her charismatic expertise. He closed his eyes and began to zone off as the train rattled along the tracks. He regretted leaving her. He should have tried harder to convince her to join Consumption. She would've listened to him, too. And April was so disappointed in him, not that he cared. It was sentimentality anyways. He looked out of the window at the passing city sites. Nothing worht looking at but that photo album of his...
