He had a girlfriend that lived in his house. When he found out that she was pregnant he knew that he was going to ask her to marry him, but right after having the baby, the woman left. Ryan grew up without a mother and with her father also drunk and working a small job for minimum wage that just barely kept them fed, clothed, and housed. Ryan grew up the poor girl. Learning from her father's mistakes, Ryan kept her heart locked up. They moved around a lot so Ryan wasn't able to stay in one place for very long. She grew up mostly in the bad side of town. Her dad sometimes takes out his frustrations on her by beating her in a drunken rage. Ryan grew up in fear for most of her life. Alister sat the farthest away from the teacher, but in the semi front. His legs up on the desk and his charming dark smile tattooed on his face. The black attire he wore today signifited he was rebel, his school record proved it.
As he sat, he examined everyone that passed through the door. Slut and retard often came to mind.

A little while after the late bell rung and the teacher had begun teaching, Ryan walked in seeming confused. "Uh... excuse me. Is this math?" Ryan said speaking quietly to the teacher. The teacher nodded and Ryan handed him a slip of paper. The teacher scaned it over and then sighed. "Alright. Well, introduce youself to the rest of the class and then take a seat in one of the empty ones." The teacher said making a calm geasture. Ryan nodded lightly and then stood at the front. "I'm uh... Ryan Kokoro." Ryan said quietly and barely audible. Ryan then took a seat in the very back corner with her head down. She had her books in her hands and put them down on her desk.

Well now, Alister thought, his brow lifting up as the girl hurried to her seat in the back. New girl.
He turned himself around looking at the girl, Ryan, hide herself from the world, maybe a little coaxing would help? Being a boy, he probably didnt have the best way of... introducing, people to school.
Wading a piece of paper he chucked lightly to hit her on the head.

Ryan felt something hit her head and saw it fall on her desk. She grabbed it, her sleeve falling back a little bit. It reavealed a few bruises her father had given her the night before. Ryan quickly pulled her sleeve down and then looked around to see who had thrown the paper at her. She spoted Alister looking at her and tilted her head, wondering why she was gettng paper thrown at her and she had barely been there for more then an hour.

Alister spread a warming smile, his eyes motioned for the seat next to him. He tried to be descret and a gentleman, for actions describe a man more then his words. But they do help.
He turned away, if she wanted to join him, it was up to her now. As he assected the situation, he did take note to the bruises on her arm. Did she fall? Or was she first blood to the bullies?

Ryan watched Alister and then back down. She didn't want to be rude and ignore him, but Ryan was very shy towards people. Ryan sighed and then got up and sat down next to Alister. She looked up at the bored and sighed. She already knew how to do what the teacher was going over. She sighed, but avoided loking at Alister. She still felt really nervous around people. Guys especially.

Alister stared forward for abit, pretending to know what the teacher was talking about before he laid out his moves. The teacher turned to grab some papers and her attention away from him he poked Ryan right on the shoulder.

Ryan jumped when Alister poked her. She turned to him, putting her other hand on the shoulder that had been poked. She looked at Alister with her head tilted and then wispered, "uh... Hi."

Ryan looked up to check and see if the teacher was watching before turning to Alister and noding. Ryan looked down at her desk wishing she could disappear. She hated talking to people. Ryan sighed softly teling herself that it couldn't be avoided. People were just as curious as cats.

Alister's eyes narrowed abit, he was probably giving her hell, but where would she sit at lunch and who would she say hi to in the halls? School would eat some one up with bruises like that, specifically ones that don't talk much.
"Well..." he paused deciding his next words, "If you need help with anything, you can call me over."
