Welcome to the Annual NFL Guild Pick of the Week 2010. We will be selecting the winners from 5 NFL games. After you have selected the winning team your choice is final. You must post the teams you are selecting here. Do not PM me your choices. If you don't post here who you are selecting I won't know. Once you have posted you choices here I will add your name to the list of people participating in the event. Remember that this guild event is free. We will keep a record of your wins and the person with the most wins or perhaps win percentage not only gets the bragging rights, but 5000 gold. Or maybe more if I can actually access the guild account...

The NFL Guild Pick of the Week will be closed 30 minutes before kickoff of the first game.

How the Games are Picked: We try to pick the best match ups looking at odds and past performances and then of course, pretty much the Sunday and Monday Night games.

The scent of the playoffs is starting to be noticed. Some teams are in control of their own destiny, others need help, while several others are just playing for pride. On to the weeks picks.

Green Bay at Atlanta- are the Packers top dog in the NFC North? At 8-2 are the Falcons the best in the NFC as a whole? This is a big test for both teams which will help establish one of the two as the title they are aiming for. Green Bay has been playing tough and overcoming many injuries that nearly crippled their chances of a playoff run. But Atlanta is playing like the more complete team, and have the potential to exploit the problems Green Bay have.
WINNER- ATLANTA FALCONS

Minnesota at Washington- Replacing Wade Phillips with an intern head coach has done wonders for the Cowboys, will the Vikings see similar results? Part of this comes down to how many players still play for pride. Superbowl out of the question for Favre, seems like all he's playing for is his streak, regardless of wins or losses. Washington on the other hand rebounded after their beating by the Eagles, and showed they are more mentally prepared to go out there and win.
WINNERS- WASHINGTON REDSKINS

Kansas City at Seattle- Does any team in the NFC West want to win the division? Crazy how we could see Seattle win it all with an 8-8 or even 7-9 record. Kansas City bounced back with an impressive win to stay ahead of the rest of the AFC West, but a win against Arizona isn't nearly as impressive as it was last season. They are on borrowed time on top of their division.
WINNER- SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

San Diego at Indianapolis- The Chargers are starting their usual late season surge to win the West, and Philip Rivers is playing like an MVP as he closes in on Dan Marino's record. Indianapolis is still being competitive, but their injuries are slowing them down. Manning still did well despite 3 INT against a Patriots defense ranked 30th in the league, but the Chargers D is top 5, and WR Austin Collie will be out.
WINNER- SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

San Francisco at Arizona- Despite a blowout loss to Tampa Bay, Troy Smith will get to start once again for San Francisco. Even his poor performance against Tampa Bay is better than what any Cardinals QB has done this season. The 49ers won't win their division, but should win a few more games to make things somewhat interesting as they continue to survive in the NFC West division race.
WINNER- SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
