Lalita was a free spirit, always wandering away from her pack. She didn't like her pack because she was always getting pushed around by the other females her age. She had been born blessed with wings and was truly beautiful. Of course she had been made to feel otherwise by how she had been treated. She felt more like a misfit and like the wings were a curse.
Today had been a particularly rough day on her, and she had left her pack with no intentions of going back. The further she ran from home the more she felt the burdens of home lift. As it became dark though, she started to panic. She had never been this far from home.
The air around her became cooler and it started to rain. She was tired. She found a bush and attempted to shelter herself from the rain. Her eyes became heavy and with tears rolling down her cheeks, she drifted off to sleep.
