Here I will set straight how things are going to go, when the Roleplay (re)starts!
Method of Roleplaying
This is a legite forum Roleplay. Meaning, roleplaying will be done in third person. EG 'Mion walked in the classroom', rather than 'I walked in the classroom'. This also means text talk is not allowed. I expect posts to be at least three sentences long. And do NOT use *this for action* , -or this-, >or this<...
Yeah well, you get the point! If any of the rules are not followed, your post will be edited by Ouka or I, and we will confront you on the matter at the usual spot, Kei!
Setting
Our roleplay starts in the same position as Onikakushi-Hen.
If any of you are not familiar with the Arc titles, Onikakushi-Hen is the first arc presented in the anime, in which ends with Keiichi battering Rena and Mion to death.
In our Roleplay, you may change the actions of your character. The solution to each arc depends on Keiichi's decisions, in the case of Onikakushi-Hen. In which case, if he so chooses to begin trusting his friends, no one will die. But, this is Higurashi, someone is likely to die.. It just may not be Rena and Mion, in our 'special' version of this Arc.
The arc after Onikakushi-Hen would be Watanagashi-Hen, otherwise known as the arc centered around Mion. The outcome of this chapter will be changed in our version. Perhaps Keiichi discovers 'Mion' is Shion? Who knows...
After reaching Matsuribiyashi-Hen and successfully finishing it, we will begin the after story, that takes place after Kai.
I have chose to exclude Rei, as it's storyline is a side story, that actually takes place after Meakashi-Hen (Shion's killer arc), so placing it in our RP would cause confusion for me, and likely, you as well.
'Ouka Furude' may or may not appear in our special versions of each arc, depending on circumstances. Hanyuu may appear early, depending on circumstances. Satoshi may 'transfer' back into Hinamizawa (if you know what I mean), depending on circumstances. This roleplay depends on OUR choices, so let's have fun with it!
Matters to discuss
Most of these matters concern characters, such as Hanyuu, Satoshi and Ouka. Hanyuu only appears to the cast, starting in Higurashi Kai, however, it is up to you to decide rather or not she has an early appearance.
*Hanyuu should appear earlier, than she does in the original story: 0
*Hanyuu should appear according to when she appears in the original story: 2
*Hanyuu should appear later than she does in the original story: 0
As for Satoshi Houjou, he is a flashback character, that only appears during the current storyline, when he is shown in his Coma. So, the matter at hand is - Should he wake up in one of the main storylines, or should we wait until after Matsuribiyashi-Hen (last arc presented in the anime) is finished? Or should he be there from the beginning? As in, he never fell victim to Hinamizawa Syndrome Level 5, but instead, was able to recover?
*Satoshi should be there from the beginning, rather than being in a Coma: 0
*Satoshi should awake sometime during the original storyline: 2
*Satoshi should awake after Matsuribiyashi-Hen has been resolved: 0
Now, here comes the Ouka decision. Ouka Furude begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting is a character that does not appear in the anime, at all. In fact, she only appears in a flashback, and that's only if you've played the Visual Novel, to see that flashback!
So, obviously, my first idea was to have her appear sometime after Matsuribiyashi-Hen, when our own storyline starts.
But of course there's the option of having her appear soon after her Mother, Hanyuu, before the original plot ends.
*Ouka should appear during the original plot: 0
*Ouka should appear after Matsuribiyashi-Hen is resolved: 2
(Sorry, Ouka! I just don't see how it would be reasonable for Ouka to appear, during such an odd time...But, you may get to appear earlier, if the group votes so!)
Basic Rules
First of all, no God Modding is allowed. Meaning, do not control others' characters. EG 'Mion walked in the classroom.' IF YOU ARE NOT MION, YOU MAY NOT DECIDE WHAT MION DOES. ONLY I MAY DECIDE THAT, AS I AM MION.
I believe that is clear, and should have been clear from the beginning. However, during our first RP (that was disbanded) I had noticed we had this problem...
The next matter is based on the factor of killing the other characters - This is Higurashi, expect characters to die. However, if you are roleplaying the character under effect of the Hinamizawa Syndrome, that is currently going insane, you must chose who you kill in the specific arc, and discuss it with me and the roleplayer of the character that is victim to your psychotic rage. Do NOT just randomly post a violent paragraph, in which you kill a character that has not been decided to die! I'm sure you all realize why you must not do that!
As for Crossover characters, they are allowed. However, there must be a logical reason for their presence, otherwise, your crossover character will have to be changed to a complete OC.
Also, if you are roleplaying a crossover character, you may not roleplay two crossover characters, or even imply that there is another character from any series, other than Higurashi. If we accept your Crossover Chara, that does not mean we accept the whole cast of a different series to be seen in this roleplay.
Mind you, this is a HIGURASHI roleplay and I expect to keep it that way.
Undecided Characters
This RP may or may not be roleplayed by different 'Keiichis'/'Renas'/'Shions'/So on. For example, Rena Lied is the Rena who visits us in the usual spot, most. However, in the roleplay, Rena will be played be l Rena l.
That is merely an example.
