A castle named after the first castellian, Urchia, who had a notorious habit of lying. The original name had been forgotten, as the continued hate of the people branded it the new name. Urchia was not happy with this, and had unleashed a curse throughout the forest that would corrupt the people, making them a victim of their own hatred. Many years have passed since them, but none had dared venture to the Castle of Lies.

"Well that was pretty vague. A castle like this probably has multiple dungeons." Eragon started walking and shortly came to a long staircase going up, and up and up and up. It appeared this entrance went near the top of the castle, and they would have to work their way down from their. "Well this sucks. It seems like the only way to go is up right now, and i bet the dungeons are way below us. I guess we have to go up to go down." Eragon started climbing the stairs, until he heard a growl in the distance. It was far off, so he paid it no mind..., yet.

Gilvan smiled as he heard what they had to do. "You wanna go all the way up there? Why not jus go straigh down?" He slid off the safety on his large gun and gave it a good click to lock the current round in place. "If ya need a masta key ta anythin, jus let me know, lad. I'll open a door for ya." He put back on his shades as he continued to give Eragon a big smile.

"Yeah......., I don't think the master key is in the guidelines for scouting missions, so lets go stealth mode for now. If Shadow doesn't know we are here, we can keep the element of surprise. But..., there may be a quiet way to get through a wall. I could build up a massive amount of electricity to create massive heat that can possibly melt the rock.. I don't think either of us want to go up before going down, so we could try it this way, and if it does not work, we can use.... your... lol makeshift key... I doubt my idea will work, but I think it's worth a shot. So, what will it be?"

Gilvan clenched his left hand and raised it. "This thin aint in metal for decoratin, lad. Sometimes I like ta think o it as my own personal door opena. It aint loud if I can take out whateva is on the otha side when I charge in... Whateva frostin ya choose, everythins still cake." He gave a chuckle. One charged fist blast was well enough to make a hole in a wall four and a half feet deep. Combined with a running start however, opened a whole new can of hurt for whatever was in his way. "Take ya pick, lad, I'm gettin a bit hungre again."

Brophy entered the Castle. This was not the first time he'd seen it, but definitely the first time he'd been inside. It was larger on the inside than it looked from the distance he usually had seen it. He took a moment, closing his eyes, to find the group. He could almost keep track of Eragon, but the effects had worn off. There wasn't much to work with. Gilvan, however, was like a giant beacon atop a lighthouse, and about as hard to miss as if he'd been standing right next to that beacon.
He made his way closer to Gilvan, but stopped, and took a moment to think. Since he no longer could track Eragon, it was possible he wasn't with Gilvan this moment. Eragon could be waiting around any corner, waiting to just take him out. He slowed down, taking each step cautiously, especially if there was a place to hide, or a corner to turn. It would take a few minutes before he was within range--longer, if they kept moving.

"Uhhhhhhhhh, ok, I guess we can just use your fist. I'm just afraid we will give away our position." Eragon heard another growl, it seemed to be closer then before.

Gilvan smiled again. "Alrighty then! Off to the side, lad, I'm goin in." Gilvan backed up a ways, heading all the way up to where they once entered, but before he could reach there, he felt something very familliar all a sudden. He could sense something nearby... and very close, apparently. He did not say anything, but couldn't decide if what it was is friendly or not. For all he knew, it could just be a mouse. "Ya know, lad, ya shouldn't be hidin anywhere I can't see ya... come out and show yeself. Be less trouble that way." He looked around, but forgot that the tunnel was quite dark and the only light was from Eragon. He took out a large lighter and clicked it. It sparked, but no flame. He would try it again.

"You might reconsider lighting that. You might just catch on fire, all that alcohol you drank. You're right to think it wasn't poisoned, but wrong to think it wasn't tampered with. Even in this complete darkness, I know exactly where you are. Your friend is lucky he spat nearly all of it out; I can't find him anywhere, anymore." He took a deep breath, and sighed. "Sorry, Gilvan. It's nothing personal, I'm just the kind of person who always likes to have the advantage. If it's any consolation, I really did enjoy your company." Every time he spoke, he threw his voice around, letting it echo, and right after he'd finished, he moved further away from Gilvan, quietly.

Eragon had heard the whole conversation, and instantly reacted when he heard that they were being tracked by Brophy. He started to send energy into his left arm, slowly building it up. By the time Brophy finished talking, Eragon had acquired the energy. He pumped it into the already glowing lighting bolt in his hand, which started to glow with a incredible intensity. Eragon separated the bolt into two halves, one half in his left hand, and one in his right. He continued to pump energy to keep the bolt alive. Both bolts gave off a powerful light, enough to illuminate all the way to the entrance, though it was dim at that range. Eragon then ran toward Gilvan, ready for anything.

Gilvan lit the lighter, but found no need to do so now that Eragon was lighting up the whole tunnel. However, before he went to close the lid to put it out, he noticed three torches lined on each side of the tunnel. "Nou why dint we find them before?..." Gilvan lit the torch beside him. and placed the lighter away, still leaving the torch mantled onto the wall. "Brophy, that you lad? What you be doin here?" He did not want to fight his Irish aquaintence, but if Brophy insisted, Gilvan would not turn down the challenge. As he thought about it, maybe he was looking for one?

Brophy made sure to stay out of sight. "Ya, It's me. Sorry we had to meet like this, but if you'd'a had any sense at all, you would'a killed me when I was weak and hungry." He kept throwing his voice around, trying to stay hidden. "I might rob you...I might loot your dead body. That all depends on you, because I'm not looking for a fight right now, just after your goods." He tried climbing the wall to stay above them as Eragon moved right past them.

"You may be fast, but you haven't seen us fight yet. You are arrogant to confront us like this. I have the power of lightning, which also has speed, which means I also have speed. Gilvan is just as fast, if not, faster then me. You are nothing but a common bandit looking for his next score. Now come fight us and you'll be at our knees within minutes apologizing." He took a battle stance by taking out his swords. The bolts in his hands combined with his swords, making them glow with power.
Gareon stared at Shadow waiting for a response. "What, no welcoming party mate?" He walked up to Shadow and was about to say something when Shadow shoved his hand into Gareon's stomach. "......W...wh ..... why." Gareon couldn't move, and his body was on fire. After a minute, Shadow released hin, and Gareon fell down the staircase. He couldn't move for a while, but when he got up, he felt different. "What did you do to me?"

Gilvan did not chase after Brophy. "Alright, lad, If thas the way ye want it, thas the way it'll be... just rememba... the Shadow King drops betta loot." He then tried yelling out for Eragon. "The commanda needs ta be lookin for somethin here... If ya can hear me, Ergon, I'll be waitin inside." With that, he charged up his metal fist with a chunk of blue energy. It pulsed in his hand for a few seconds as he drew it back. Shortly after that, Gilvan made a quick motion and flew through the wall with a loud crash. The impact had little effect on Gilvan, but the wall was most certainly a door now. Rock and debris followed him through and he stopped suddenly, the metal edges of his boots sparking off the floor. There apparently was a skelleton somewhere on the other side, as now bones littered the floor when the debris skated across the floor. The energy in his fist was gone, and he stood upright, returning his shades. "huh, not too bad for a little remodelin... could use a little more, I think."
Shadow warped down the stairs and stopped short in front of Gareon. "You will find out in time... Now... where are they?" Shadow's hand was open, letting the blood drip to the floor. In his other was his whip, which now was engulfed in purple energy.

Brophy landed, and stood where Gilvan had been before he turned a solid wall into a doorway. He wouldn't take the clear opening to attack, as if he felt it was something about honor. He stood between the both of them as he said, "You're both stupid. Showing off, bragging, telling me half of your strategy. You have no idea what I can do, and I intend to keep it that way until I'm sweeping you on the floor with it. Arrogance? You have no idea how wrong you are; You're the arrogant one." He built up some energy, but in the very center of his being. Whatever he was going to use it for, he wasn't going to reveal his plan until it was needed, or until it was too late. "I'd much rather settle this without a fight, and just one more point of interest... You're wrong about me being just a bandit. I plan to do the bidding of Shadow King, or someone else of power. Maybe one day, I'll be a ruler of sorts. I want someone to teach me the things goody-goodies like you can't."
