The cold door knob pressed against her skin, her long hair blowing in the wind. This is how it always happened when Lily opened the door. Being the youngest, she was also the fastest, so after the yearly Diagon Alley Trip, she was always the first to try on her knew robes. because she could get into the house first.
"Lily! that's not fair!" She heard her father call after her, referring to how she quickly ran, pushing her brothers out of the way. Ignoring him, she flung the door open and ran up the stairs, letting all the heat out of the house.
As she ran up the stairs, she tripped, scrapping her knee, but didn't care.

⚡"Lily! Get back here!" James shouted, rushing after her. He wasn't about to let her get into the house first. Not without a fight. Every year it was like that - even before his sister began to attend Hogwarts. Honestly, it was driving him completely insane. His competitive side just couldn't stand it.
⚡For a moment, he had considered apparating after her. Ever since he had turned seventeen, he had been practicing under the watchful eye of his parents to make sure he didn't splinch himself. As he was an avid Quidditch player, he didn't want to lose any of his body parts at all. Even if they were easily reattached. Simply stated, it was one experience he'd like to avoid.
⚡Upon reaching the front door, he found it left wide open. Rolling his eyes, he tossed his bags aside and sprinted up the steps after her. He reached out and grabbed for her ankle, wanting to stop her.

 XXXXXXXXXXXXX "JAMES,LILY,ALBUS IT'S ROSE!"Rose yelled from the door.God,why was Hugo still asleep?That sleepy thing.She wasn't going twice to Diagon Alley nope not a chance.Hearing no Albus like usual she thought that Hugo and him could go together.Rose sighed,she was only sixteen.She wondered if Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry were home.Usually Rose would see neither of them for Harry was an Auror and Ginny played Quidditch.Rose again knocked on the door.

"Rose!" Lily screeched quickly standing up, and brushing her knees off,
and throwing her bags in her room. She saw her cousin, standing there, her blonde hair perfect, as always. while Lily had two older brothers, she was used to scratches, messy hair, and arguments, she never looked as perfect as her cousin. Ever.
"What's up?" She said, slowly walking down the stairs, trying to fix her hair, so she looked somewhat presentable. Her eyes were begging to water, she thought James did some damage when he tripped her. As she got onto the floor, she stumbled a bit.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX "Hey Lils come lets go to your room and fix your hair."She gave a pat on James's head just for fun.She went to Lily's room and looked in her bag for her brush and detangler.She smiled as she found them and turned on the T.V. so Lily could watch it while she combed her hair."Are your parents home Lily?"Rose asked.It was good that they lived next door to the Potters and streets away from Malfoy,Flur,and Howard and all those disgusting things they call Slytherins.In a few minutes or fifteen Lily's hair looked nicer than usual.She went into the bathroom and looked for a band-aid and smiled as she saw one.She entered back in Lily's room and put it on her knee."Wait just a second while I talk to your brother"She went out of her room and slapped James on the head again.She smiled."How was the trip to the Alley?I don't need to go there this year mainly because mum and dad did it already...."Rose said with a chuckle.Rose sighed,sometimes her parents were a little too over-protective....

"Oh, may parents are around here somewhere, probably getting the rest of the bags. The alley? Very, boring. I had to buy new robes. I hate growing, sometimes." Lily responded with a sigh.
She didn't know what to say.
As Rose finished up with Lily's hair, Lily barely recognized herself.
She gave a gasp of shock, and hugged her cousin.
"woah, I think I need to have her over more often!" Lily thought silently, as she thoguht about Rose's parents. She couldn't believe that they didn't let Rose go with them. It was shocking!

⚡James felt, honestly, rather smug about the fact that he had actually gotten Lily. Though seeing the look on her face, he felt a bit guilty. But not enough to say sorry. No, he was sure that Lily was used to the horseplay by now. She did have two older brothers. Then again, Albus was far more quiet and gentle compared to him. Sometimes it seemed he was the only one in the house who knew anything about mischief. It was a wonder how he didn't end up his Uncle George's son. But ew, that would mean I'd be Roxanne's brother instead of cousin. That's just terrible.
⚡"Hey! You keep doing that and I'll be even stupider than I already am," he growled at Rose when she decided that it was alright that she whap him over the head again. He sighed, getting up from his seat on the steps to go and make sure that Kreacher didn't steal any of his things. Though he was technically the House Elf's master, the elf had this habit of making his things disappear if they weren't secured in his room. James didn't really know why the House Elf hated him so - maybe it was just because he reminded Kreacher too much of his father - Harry. The two never seemed to get along very well.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX Rose really laughed.Although she was a daughter of a Weasley she was more Granger.She sighed and gasped when Lily hugged her.It was like a bone-cruncher."Kinda hard hug there Lils"She was thinking of giving Lily the detangler and the brush because she had so many at home for home since mother usually wanted her her hair to be straight.Rose couldn't wait for Hogwarts and get back with all her friends.When Rose got the strength she pulled Lily off her and carried her to her bed.There she tickled Lily and she herself ended up laughing.It was ever so amusing to finally spend time with the Potters.More specifically a girl.Lily was like Rose when she was younger.Except she took care of herself and she wasn't a Hufflepuff.With another laugh she stopped tickling Lily and put Lily on her lap and told her,"You can have the brush and the detangler so your Red hair will be perfect."She figured that would make her happy.She put a finger up and went to Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry."Mum and Dad said that you were invited to dinner"She told them truthfully.This usually happened.With the boys all together and she was with Lily.
