When I though of "humility" I always thought of humiliate, I always thought that in order to really be a Christian, we had to embarrass ourselves. I thought we had to not be afraid of being humiliated, we were supposed to take it "like a man". Today God told be to look up what it really means, and its way better than what I thought:

a prominent Christian grace (Rom. 12:3; 15:17, 18; 1 Cor. 3:5-7; 2 Cor. 3:5; Phil. 4:11-13). It is a state of mind well pleasing to God (1 Pet. 3:4); it preserves the soul in tranquility (Ps. 69:32, 33), and makes us patient under trials (Job 1:22). Christ has set us an example of humility (Phil. 2:6-8). We should be led thereto by a remembrance of our sins (Lam. 3:39), and by the thought that it is the way to honor (Prov. 16:18), and that the greatest promises are made to the humble (Ps. 147:6; Isa. 57:15; 66:2; 1 Pet. 5:5). It is a "great paradox in Christianity that it makes humility the avenue to glory."

I thought I had to be embarrassed, when I really need to be humble. You see, I was doing it all wrong, and I never thought to ask "What do they mean?"...

Abba, Father: Thank you so much Lord for sharing your word; the chance to teach others about you. Father, I just pray that you stay with me, and remind me to be humble (courteously respectful) towards everyone, FAther, cause I know someone out there just needs that simple "Hey" and It will make their day, it will let that someone be reminded that they are important. And, Father, thank you for this new day Lord, I wouldn't be here without you. Lord, If there is anything I can do for you, let me know. In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen.
