The next day I am called to do some "field work" and destroy a machine in District 3. It's been described as a bomb that releases toxic gas causing instant death from being inhaled. As I walked out with one my collegues who apperently is supposed to be my field mentor. A poison bomb huh...As if reaking 13 with an explosive one isn't enough "Hey Geo. Were here at District 3." I take a long look at the factory we are supposed to infitrate. "That's it?" He nods. "Not much on the outside but a lot of high tech on the inside. Smirking I say "Why don't we swipe a hovetcraft then."

My mentor laughs "Well, we can swipe a few blueprints if possible," with a cord he hooks it at the fence which was supposed to be electrified. "I took out the electricty. Let's go finish the mission. We quickly climb up the fence and swiftly end up at front gate of the factory. With a movement of his hand signaling that everything is clear we head in and find the bomb.
"This is it...Geo, go grab any useful blueprints and after that burn what we cannot use." From his bag he starts setting smaller bombs around and I went to the desks. In the desks not only that I found blueprints that we need but there were photos of the workers and their relatives. It kinda puts a smile on my face, seeing them all happy and stuff. I pound my cheeks telling myself to focus on the objective. With a stuffed bag filled with blueprints I head back.

"Hey, I got the...Oh no."

There he lied on the ground in a pool of blood with the detonator in his grip. Feeling uneasy I take out my small gun and carefully take away the detonator so it doesn't set off.
The last thing I want is being blown to bits. When the switch was in my grasp a Peacekeeper shoots from above. "Intruder...There is an..." Before he can say anything else I shot him straight in the heart -it was a clean shot so he should be dead- and ran towards some neighboring houses hoping for cover. "What a day..."

Dead. My field partner is dead and I am now alone, running away from the Peacekeeper's. "These guy's don't give up!" I said. Unexpectedly, I felt something penetrate through my left shoulder. I was shoot. Letting a slight yell I instinctively covered the wound -putting my right hand on the wound- and shoot back from where the bullet came from and manged to kill its shooter with a well aimed heartshoot. Now I only have four bullets. The wound was slowing me down from the lack of the blood so I had to take cover in a nearby house. Without its residents noticing I slipped in, went upstairs and hid in a closet. I sat down in a corner trying to hold the pain and constantly putting some cloths to stop the bleeding when needed. Eyeballing the contents of the closet I noticed that it was filled with clothes that only a girl would wear and a book titled "My Dairy" of somesort probably filled with personal things or a daily journal. Also there was picture of a red-haired girl and her family smiling. Seeing things like that make me grin a bit imagining the happy moment's they must be having. Holding back my curiosity I sat silent hoping that everything will calm down a bit before leaving. I took out the detonator for the bomb thinking that by pressing it everything will be over, avenging my deceased partner in the process but it ain't that easy so I put away before having any second ideas. "Stuck in a girl's closet, chased by Peacekeeper's, bleeding to death, no one having my back.This feels like games I see on television only...That I am in their turf now."

Thinking that all if it was really worth living any longer. That like my deceased family, I too will suffer this nightmareish fate. There screams, the gunshots, that man's laugh...I still haunts me. As I tightend my grip on the wound the closet door swang open. It was the girl from the picture...She is prettier than I thought. But then I noticed that she was in a towel and realized that I forgot that I'm in a GIRL'S closet with ALL of her clothes in here. She stared at my wound blankly until I broke the silence. "Hey, can you spare a bandage?" I said smirking.

I was expecting she would turn me in but instead she left and went get some first-aid. Strange as it may since by turning in a person like me her family could have plenty of food for a full year. Then again she ain't that bad of a person. Then deep in my heart I felt pain, the pain of seeing a kind person like her standing at the Reaping preparing her death at the hands of the Capitol all for the sake of <>. Although I haven't seen the game's on T.V I did hear the cry's of their loved ones echoing in the forest not far from District 12 where my house once stood. Now burned to ashes... "The Reaping is going to start soon..." I grunted as steped out of the closet and sat next to her bed since there was no point in hiding anyway and waited for her to comeback with my hand still pressing down the wound.

"If I told you. Would you turn me in?" I asked. Although from the look in her eye's I felt that I could trust her but no one can't be to sure. Come to think of it...I never acted this cautious before. My grip started to get stronger from my anxiety and grited my teeth a bit from the pain.

I slowly lowerd my hand which was shaking and damp from the running blood. "A Peacekeeper shot my arm. I couldn't remove the bullet on my own...But to remove it throughly I will have to take off my my jacket. You don't mind?" I said as I flopped my bloody hand next to me with a snowy pale face signaling that I was bleeding for quite a while.

Although its a bit wierd being shirtless infront of a stranger but I really didn't mind since I tended to do take my shirt off at home -Dad alway's said that being shirtless will give the body slight immunity to skin infections or somethink like that- but I had my reasons. As she poured the alcohol and I made faces from the stings she asked if she could proceed. From the under the bed she took some tweezers "Stay still, I'm going to try this. If it hurts, I'm really sorry."

"Don't say sorry just give it you're best shot..." I replied. Although I'm just saying that so I don't think of the pain.
