Today my friends mom passed away , at 8:30 pm he told me she had breast cancer and bone cancer and she had to have a transplant , then at 10:15 pm she passed away .

It feels heavy and sad I can almost feel my guts burning

That's sad crying . The same thing happened to my dad last year, except he had aesophagial cancer. Are you spending time with him right now?

It sounds like the both of you need each other right now. Be there for your friend as much as you can, make yourself emotionally available for your friend, and do your best to sympathize with them. Your friend might also need to be put on suicide watch if they were really close to their mother.
