Always very busy. People are cleaning up, setting up or getting ready for the previous or next act quickly. A lot of drama occurs here and it is always crowded with people and things such a backdrops and costumes.

In the one quiet spot that could be found on the back stage area sat a small girl in black clothing with silver hair. She was done up in black ribbons across her body like some sort of pale dark Christmas present. She sat in her usual spot sitting fiddling with what appeared to be a human arm made from some sort of plastic alloy. This would be something unusual for any other girl who appeared about thirteen to do but not Vicera. But then again there was no definition of the word normal which Vice fit. Which was to expected of an acrobat that worked at a freak show.
She had her hair done up in a satin silk ribbon that showed that she was working rather hard on the task in front of her, a habit she had of course picked up from one of her favorite characters; a girl named Violet Baudelaire. Vice like the fictional girl in the books of the Series of Unfortunate events was also an inventor. However instead of inventing useful things such as grappling hooks and fishing nets Vice tinkered with puppets and other such things that were considered dark a dreary.
She looked at the maroon velvet curtains that made up her enclosed space her haunted blue eyes looking at them from haunted sockets. She loved this spot amidst the curtains; unlike the stage there was no one to watch her and in contrast to her room it did not make her feel trapped.
She sighed as she sat up her puppet creation that would soon be part of her second act the puppet show and began working on the inner workings. All her puppets were made to be deadly to shoot blades or have razor blades that shot out while she commanded them and danced among them. The show was always a crowd pleaser and drew in huge crowds on it's own. It was also why the girl whom appeared to be only thirteen got top billing and a room to herself in fact an entire building to herself few ever dared to enter. It was where she kept her creations; hundreds of puppets in various forms and shapes all designed to work on a pully system only she herself could use.
Vice welcomed the rumors about her; it kept people away from her and kept them from asking questions she did not want to answer, question she could not answer. The girl frowned as she found herself lost again in her past in how she had come to be part of this show. And in how she came into being...

Alice Heart - "The Cheshire Cat"

Alice rushed around backstage, searching for the source of the tinkering. She searched behind doors and racks, pillars and cupboards. She even checked the rafters! The cat just could not seem to find the source of the noise. "Why can't I find it?" She cried out in frustration, throwing her hands in the air, which caused the velvet curtains to fly around.

Logan Rice-"Mad Hatter"

Hatter walked cautiously into the backstage, he still tripped over something. Hatter picked up the object and put it in his pocket. Hatter saw Alice rushing around. "Alice, what are you doing?" Hatter walked closely and heard a tinkering noise. "What's that?" Hatter wondered aloud.

Alice Hart - "The Cheshire Cat"

Alice looked over to Hatter. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm searching for the noise! Can't you hear it? Of course you can! I'm not insane yet! ...Yet... Am I insane?" The more Alice thought about it, the more confused she got, and she almost forgot about the noise.

Logan Rice-"Mad Hatter"

"Yes, I hear it, but you're searching in the wrong place, it's coming from over there." Hatter said as he pointed to a corner. Hatter walked over to the noise, and pulled away the curtains.

Alice Hart - "Cheshire Cat"

Alice glared at the Hatter slightly before jogging over to him and peeking her head through the curtains. There she saw a girl who looked around thirteen. One of the Preformers! She knew this girl, just at the moment couldn't place her name. Act, yes. Name? No. "Hi, there!" Alice greeted happily. "Whatcha doin'?"

The girl listened as the two freaks made their way outside her usual haunt, wondering how anyone could not know where the hell she was. Those haunted blue eyes meet them with a cold stare as she sighed and put down her puppet. As she walked over to them one could not help but notice her gaite, elegant and graceful yet efficient it was clear she was not in the best of moods.
Of course being disturbed was hardly one of her favorite past times and neither was entertaining idiots who didn't know when they shouldn't meddle. The small gothic princess fought against herself as she reached the velvety curtain. She laced her fingers in the fabric as she continues to glare at them for a couple seconds.
Of course she knew who they were, the illusionist by the name of Alice and her friend the Mad Hatter the hypnotist and madman. It seemed unoriginality was what freaks were best at. A small smile inched across the girl's lips as she spoke. Her voice had all the forboding of a banshee's cry coupled with the icyness of a cold wind on a stormy night. It was a very disheartening sound "I'm working as I do every day, in the spot I always work in around the time I normally. What I am doing is not what is questionable but rather why would you two would disturb my delicate workmanship with your silly game of what that noise is...." she said as she fixed her ribbon tighter as she turned away from them "Now if you excuse me I came here to be alone I have much to do before my three acts this afternoon and I would like to get most of it done before I have to set up my machines for the grand finale....and if you have no bussiness with me then I suggest that you go prepare for you acts as well...."

"Oh, sorry for the disturbance, but I believe this is yours." Hatter said as he took out the puppet hand from his pocket. "I'd like to stay and chat, but I still need to get an assistant from my show." Hatter said, then gave the hand to her, and then did a few cartwheels out the door.

Alice Hart - "Cheshire Cat"

Alice crossed her arms childishly. "Well that's not very nice." She teased with a smile. The girl's cold attitude didn't bother her, knowing very well that she herself could be like that at times as well. Alice giggled a little, folding her hands behind her back. "Do you need help? I'd love to help! It looks like you need a lot done. It would get done faster with two people!" She offered enthusiastically.

The young girl's attitude took her off guard for a second. No one had ever offered to help her; especially after she had sent them away. She thought for a moment upon the implications the girl's help would raise and wondered if she really cared if the other freaks decided that she was growing soft.
Well she suppose if they did try to look at her that way she could always set them straight. Regretting it almost immediately she finished her puppet and set aside as she walked up to the girl, looking up at the taller woman with her haunted blue eyes "You ready to do exactly as I say---without question without fooling around? Because I am not going to held responsible for your death...and I mean that; you aren't putting up signs or painting scenery these are my acts and one wrong move, on button pressed accidently, one slip of a gear will end your life. Do I make myself clear?"

Alice Hart - "Cheshire Cat"

The smiled on Alice's face disappeared, replaced by a completely serious look. She may be a playful cat, but she can be deadly serious when the time calls for it. Solemnly nodding, Alice replied with an almost too serious "Yes. I completely understand." She looked down to the younger girl. Alice had heard people say things about her, things that would scare most people, but of course, Alice never listened. She wasn't one to gossip anyway. The magician wasn't scared, for once. "What do I need to do?"
