Nov. 9th my account was hacked and i was left pantsless literally burning_eyes
Best ways to prevent a hacker.......
have a unhackable password xp
limit the people who can view your profile to jus friends
be carefull who you add as a friend
and dont wear ur items so you look like a million gaian gold and stand out like ur a king or queen. xp
maybe a wise idea to have an alternate account.
one day id like to have a relief fund stashed to help members who have tragedy strike them. hopefully can be used to get your pants back and hopefully we can be honest enough nobody crys wolf whee

sometimes when entering thread in forums u get the massage asking to re enter you username and password too. that sounds suspicious, i cancel evertime it pops up and nothing happens (i'm not logged out) so i guess thats one of the hacking attempt, be carefull guyz.

None of the above measures is necessary. Certainly not the whole profile friends stuff. Add who you want, it does nothing to you, unless you`re foolish enough to say something that overlaps the security line. Main thing is:
1. Don`t even hint at your password
2. Have a mixture of numbers and letters in your password(caps and lower case too)
3. Ignore and/or report anything that claims to be from an admin when the name isn`t coloured.
4. Don`t ever put in your password anywhere aside from the log in (check the site) and stuff like trades and market. Gaia rules states quite clearly they will never ask for your password. They already have it. This includes those pop-ups. Unless the site states the authentic gaiaonline.com, you should ignore it completely. You shouldn`t even get such pop-ups, since gaia uses announcements.
5. Not giving out your password includes real life friends. I know too many people who`ve lost their account to a cousin or sister.
What you wear and who you add and so on; you should not have to change any of it. Don`t be so cowardly. Freedom of speech and such, correct? You only need to be careful of where you put your password. That`s it. They can`t get in your account otherwise.
Ps: Yus, I felt I should check out the guilds my little brother was in since he(this account) was leaving gaia.
