It's been four years since Lan Hikari retired from virus busting, but there have still been problems with the nets lately. Bass has been out and about slightly more than normal, and through various means of secrecy, the Netopia military has only recently finished their means to finish him... That navi is Mirage. An element-swapping double of basic gunnery and net-mage talents. He, however, is not intent on being anyone's puppet. Name: Mirage.EXE Skill set: Your average (although slightly more rapid) buster-arm, element swapping (entire armor changing to match element) which allows more versatile "net-magic" use. Bio: Recent escapee from Netopian military labs. Solo netnavi, made with a purpose that he's beginning to not really care for.

Name: Xyrus.EXE Skill set: A glitched Civilian arm, which causes bits of data to disappear around it. He forms the data into an attack, which is rather rapid. His own element is considered a glitch, as it is every element randomly disassembled and combined, each attack being a different order. He prefers to use swords and shields. Bio: The cause of two solos clashing, he slowly formed. Originally, he thought himself an ordinary solo, though one of the best, being able to remain stable when he switches elements. He had never gotten hit. Once he was hit, the glitch piece of him unlocked, and he had to completely re-master his powers. Appearance: He usually is black with a blue trim along his body. He has wings, which tends to lengthen at the expense of nearby data so he can fly. The data around him pixelates in random colors. He always wears a grey mask.

(I've confirmed it. We're safe to go for now. New guys might come in later, it'll work out.)
Mirage looked behind him. The military was still hot on his trail, but he didn't really have time to worry about them right now. They had driven him to the entrance to the undernet, something Mirage wasn't exacly looking forward to staring down. It came down to his decision; either face his coders, or take on the undernet. He decided.
Turning back around, he headed through the large purple gate, dropping down into the depths.

Xyrus was heading to the undernet, looking to bash some more Navis. The extra training could help, he had supposed, and there was always a bad-guy or two who needed some straightening down there. He saw a bunch of Military Navis, chasing another Navi. Xyrus frowned, the military was just as bad as the guys in the undernet. He swooped down, placing his fist on on of the Navis. He became scrambled, random bits of the data that made him up being absorbed until finally he was all gone. By this time, the other military navis had noticed him, and he released the data, in the form of a bomb. It shot at them, exploding upon impact. Xyrus' wings grew, more Navis falling down as he stole their data. "I believe it is high time you upgraded your Navis." Xyrus said, speaking directly to the Netops from the stolen data, "As they were too easy to absorb." With that he flew to the undernet.

Mirage noticed something as a sensor in his helmet went off. As soon as he landed, he darted to the side, spinning around, not sure what to make of the seemingly glitched-to-hell navi that had come in behind him. He straightened, but held his position.
"You look like you've seen a rough time. What brings you here?" He asked.

"Just here to make sure the..Darker navis of the Net are kept in line." he stated. He looked down at himself, focusing for a moment. The Pixelation was gone, as was the data-displacement.

"In line, eh? Sounds like something I would enjoy doing, if the stupid military would get off my back..."
Mirage's armor shifted to a lustrous yellow, himself sparking a bit before suddenly a long set of electric bolts connected where he had just been with a ledge somewhat in the distance, where he was now. Another couple seconds and it happened again, Mirage back in place. He shifted back white.
"Sorry, had to figure out the details with that. I'm not exactly... old."

Xyrus frowned "Hmph. The military. Those fools do what others would consider illegal and get away with it."

"You're telling me...!"
In the distance, far behind Mirage, a solitary navi in a uniform brown jacked in. He smirked.
"Found so easily, is he? Nobody gets away from Netopian authority..."
He took aim, a sniper-arm scoping in on Mirage's position.
"Trackman, requesting permission to engage."
"What's the situation, Trackman?"
"Code E367 in sight, sir."
"Acknowledged. Permission granted."

The aura of pixelation fires up, as does the data-displacement. Immediately, he raises his hands, a huge purple shield coming up.

"Huh?"
Mirage looked behind him, his sensor registering a friendly - which to him was in no way friendly.
Trackman fired, the shot warping as soon as it struck the defensive, suddenly nowhere to be found.
"In the name of...?!"
"Well well. Seems Netopia decided to run out a real gun on me. Now let me think..."
His armor turned green, and he held his left arm out to Trackman, his right forming into a buster, not only bringing a tower-spike of wood from beneath the sniper, but firing a few warning rounds at him as well.
Not exactly suspecting the counterattack to be elemental, Trackman jumped to the side, taking aim and firing several shots at Xyrus.

This time, Xyrus waved his hand. The bullets were absorbed into more data-attacks, which were sent at Trackman. Each of them were different; one was Ice-data, save that it destroyed the ground as well. One was wood-data that caused lava-tiles to appear, there was even a holy-panel that did damage over time.

"What the!"
Trackman was at a loss for options. He jacked out, really not wanting deletion so early on.
Baryl grunted, his defeat not being taken lightly. He slammed a fist down at the desk, before turning back to his two co-leads.
"I want that rogue, and I want him fast. Do whatever you have to. I'm going to have to get something that'll work on a bug..."
He pushed past the pair, heading upstairs.
"That's certainly odd. Never seen that kind of a mix... not that I've seen much."
Mirage's armor came white again as he turned to regard Xyrus.
(Edit: If anyone wants a shot at a co-commander, shoot me a PM. It's rather open, but there're a couple interesting things that need to be shared first)

Xyrus' form went back to normal, and he turned back to Mirage. "Yes, well, I'm a one-of-a-kind here in the Net. I mean, there's other glitches, sure..But most of them don't get very far, because their programs turn against each-other. Even then, they are few and far between."

Mirage nodded, running his right hand along the sensor at his helmet, switching things around as he did. A white eyepiece, similar to what one might expect of a HUD - which, in fact it was - slid out over his right eye, and he stepped back slightly.
"Dang... what the heck happened? Everything around you, even, is just flux."
