I never heard an official statement, but ANN and AnimeSuki had listed the intended ep count at 52 eps... however, new news indicates they're intending to wrap it up at 24 eps (or maybe 23 with the final one being an hour long).
I am SO dissapointed, but it explains the rushed feel of the anime. crying

I am guilty of replying happy. I do not hate the anime, I really enjoy it.
All those action scenes and all. But already I thought that at the rate they were going that it would be finished quite soon and didn't know how they could stretch it on 52 episodes. And plus the difference between manga and anime is too grand and sadly I prefer manga better.

I'm kinda happy...because if the fansub groups recieved so type of warning saying they have to stop subbing it then...we will never be able to finish the story until the dvd or something comes out...which might take a while...I'm not sure. But I'm kinda sad that it ends so soon. Can't it extend to 26eps? I like 26eps better then 24...don't knwo why...lol

i'm sad about it because, these characters are just amzingly well done and i would love to see as much of them as i possibly can...
23-24 seems a bit short bt a lot of newer animes end t 24 now.
Creed, Train and Charden are the three chaaracters that made me realize i am sort of gay for anime gys...
didn;t mean to say it out loud but when charden took his hat off... i said "isn't he hot?" to my friend lol

Don't worry, it is impossible to find Charden not hot. I just couldn t wait untill he showed his face in the anime. XD And even one of my guy friends admitted that he was a pretty boy. Still, he is one of my fav characters!

I do not condone this course of action. But it's probably still too early to assume anything, really.
Why didn't they just come out and tell us how many episodes there are? crying

There are a lot of good anime, based off great manga, that get cut off in the wrong places, making you think. "There has got to be another episode! Where is it?" The same happened to Fruits Basket(don't ask why I boy watched it) and DearS.
