Wrath, the leader of the seven sins used his silver tongue to manipulate Luna to join his ranks, which were slowly dwindling. Most were picked off by the others, destroyed, leaving the combined pack injured and weak. Jume, sacrificing herself in the process, for her pups and pack mates, killed the last few that remained.
The only ones remaining were Wrath and Luna.
Shadow, who had finally pushed back his darker counterpart Shade, went after Luna to turn her back to their side, to convince her this was where she belonged, with him and their young.
Luna, whose mind was warped and twisted with Wraths' words attacked her mate, who wouldn't dare lay fang against his mate, and killed him.
Though as soon as he fell and didn't rise Wraths influence over her faded. Confused and grief stricken Luna searched out Wrath. Knowing the tyrant needed to be destroyed before he caused the same pain on someone else.
Attacking the evil male she landed a few blows, but in her weakened state she was no match for the male. dying by a blow to her throat Luna closed her eyes, the moon behind those closed eyes unclouded, the red fog fading and sitting before the moon Shadow waited for her.
Meeting her mate on the other side they turned, seeing the demented soul that belonged to Wrath they watched as a darker shadow with red eyes emerged from the darkness, the twisted spirit opened its jaws and drug Wrath down into the earth, their twisted screams echoing for a few moments before all was still. This was the end of Wrath and Shade.
With the discovery of the three dead bodies the two packs disbanded. Without the threat of the sins, there was no reason the darker wolves should stay. Angelis and Nighttide, gathering up their brood, returned back to their territory.
Cole, vowing to take care of his sisters pups, took over the Lunar Pack, raising their young.
Two years have passed, and all that is left are the young. Cole, once the pups were old enough, left to return to his pack. No one knows what happened to Nighttide. One night she left, never to return. Disappearing very much like her creation Shade.
Angelis stayed with the pups, until he was sure they could take care of themselves, and was later found dead where they had lost Jume, the body long since decomposed and buried, no wounds upon his body.
This is where our story begins.

Shadow Pack
Cymry sat just in the entrance of the den, her green eyes staring at nothing, space. Her tail twitched ever so slightly at the tip. A small twisted smirk appeared on her muzzle, laughing at something silently. For a moment awareness flickered behind those vacant orbs and she turned her head slightly, gazing towards the woods. She stood, shaking out her fur, and the moment was over, she was once more herself.
"Fell. Haze." She said with a gruff bark, unsure if they were even with her any longer. She had been staring in space, letting her mind wander, for a very long time. Her limbs were stiff from the lapsed time.
She yawned, white fur bristling ever so slightly. She resembled her father, almost to the point before his death it had been hard to tell them apart, except her ears weren't black tipped.
Sabita
Loner
The she wolf that pulled herself from the raging river was blacker then night. She was large, quiet a bit larger then one would expect a female to be. She shook out her fur, staggering ever so slightly, her shoulder ripped open and bleeding. Her muzzle was already clawed up, the scars old and worn. They had been there for as long as she could remember.
She choked up some water, vomit spewing from her jaws, revealing the few chunks of dog food that still inhabited her gut. Gold eyes slid up and around her, taking in her surroundings. Even though she was tall, she was thin as a rail, in fact slightly bony.
Moving she limped from the waters edge and stumbled to the earth, closing her gold eyes before breathing in deeply. "Its my time to die i guess." She chuckled. She had been through so much. It figures she would die from a few humans and a dog half her size.
Haze
Lunar
Haze gazed up at the early morning sky, the sun was disappearing over the horizon, leaving him, for a moment, alone. He turned and loped back in the direction of the den, knowing Sungold and Aura were waiting for him. He lifted his head ever so slightly, tail wagging behind him as he grew closer, fur glistening ever so slightly in the dying light.

Sungold
Dawn stretched, arching her back and flexing her toes, before turning her pale gaze outwards. She wondered what Haze was doing. He was up ridiculously early. She frowned. Or was he up absurdly late? It was hard to tell with Haze... She supposed it had something to do with the moon... She yawned as she shook herself fully awake. It would be dawn soon and she'd be up anyway. Might as well get up now and save herself the trouble. She padded outside, wagging her tail in greeting to her packmate. Onyx
Onyx twitched an ear at Cymry's distant call as he considered answering. He felt vaguely irritated at the she wolf. She had been zoning out more and more lately. Almost like his mother had before.... He shook his head. It would do no good thinking about that now. Cymry was not like his mother had been. When his mother had zoned, it was as though she had simply ceased to exist. When Cymry did it, she became... odd. With a sign, Onyx turned and began padding back through the woods to his packmate. No doubt his sister was doing the same from wherever she had wondered off to.

Cymry lifted her head when she heard the first close foot falls, instantly pin pointing they were Onyx. She smirked ever so slightly, she rather enjoyed the feeling of them answering her, though this thought was quick to escape her mind.
Her tail flicked back and forth slightly as he appeared. "I'm glad you came when called." She never would have told her step sibling that she really was worried they would abandon her. It had been a fear that came quiet frequently, since her father died.
"I think its time we advance closer to the other pack. You know how they drove our mother mad." She referred to nighttide as our mother, because she was the only mother Cymry knew. She licked her paws slightly.

Haze flicked his silky ears up when he saw Dawn, his tail wagging slightly back and forth. He picked up speed and launched forward, pouncing on her and biting her ear with a bark. "Good morning Dawn." He said with a tired smile, climbing off of her and glancing towards the den. "Aura is still asleep?" He asked, blue orbs glittering slightly. he was only slightly older then Dawn, but he respected her in ways one would question. she seemed to fit the part as the adult, and after they were left Alone it was Dawn who knew exactly what to do. At this thought he suddenly missed his uncle, with a sigh he shuffled his foot.

DawnDawn tolerated the ear biting with the grace of the recently awakened. And promptly bit Haze back. "Morning to you to." She grinned back and nodded an affirmative to his question. "Speaking of which, you're up early." She glanced at the sky, it was only now beginning to turn the gray of dawn, and returned her eyes to him curiously. Her curiosity only grew with his sigh, turning into worry. "Everything alright?" Onyx
Onyx cast a disdainful glance his adopted sister. "You know full well she was mad to begin with." He wasn't sure he approved of Cymry's obsession with the Lunar pack. From what he could gather, the ones who were to be hated had all either died or abandoned the pack, leaving just the youngest. Still.... Fell would most likely agree with the white wolf and he wasn't willing to leave his sisters just yet.

She could feel the disdain like a claw on her flank and her muzzle wrinkled slightly. "Yes, but maybe she wouldn't have left us if not because of them!" She spat this out with malice. "Tell me Onyx, how do you know they didn't steal her away in the night and are torturing her in the back of their cave?" Her eyes twinkled and the manipulative she wolf lowered her voice. "Father told me he had followed her tracks right into the outskirts of their territory." She said softly, her tail lashing back and forth. "Her scent disappeared. Replaced by their... their stench!" She said this with vehemence, her green eyes glittering at her adopted sibling in silence. "They have her in the back of their den. Spilling her blood in hopes that it will draw us weak pups out, in hopes that they can destroy us and take over the territory. Onyx. We are stronger then they are." Her tongue swiped at her jaws.

He chuckled as she nipped at him. He cocked his head slightly as she mentioned his early rise. He gazed at his paws until she asked if he was alright. His blue orbs slid up to Dawn and with a shrug he frowned. "I thought I heard someone calling me is all... It sounded like... Cole." His voice faltered slightly. That was a lie, from what he could remember of Luna, it was her voice, it was one of the things the young male would never forget. "I suppose it was a dream. None the less I couldn't sleep. So I watched the moon go down." He smiled slightly, trying to reassure her all was well.

SungoldSungold butted her nose gently against Haze's shoulder. "We could always go find him." she said softly. Like Haze and Aura, Dawn missed Cole and was sad to see him leave, however, unlike the siblings, she had moved on with easily enough. If her packmates wanted to go after their uncle though, Dawn would go as well. Odd as it was, she didn't doubt that they would eventually find the way... Onyx
Onyx narrowed his eyes at Cymry as cold anger began coiling in his belly. Did she actually think he'd be that easy to manipulate. It was an attempt he didn't appreciate at all, especially since in involved his mother... Unfortunately such attempts seemed to be happening more and more often. As if Angelis would have told only Cy the fate of Nighttide. As if Nighttide would have gone to their territory. His mother was mad, not stupid. "Do not play me for a fool, sister." A low growl rumbled deep in his chest. "I will follow you wherever you chose to go, but do not think I cannot smell a lie." Smell might not have been the right word for it, but it was close enough. They had grown up together, were nursed by the same she wolf, taught by the same brute. Did she really think he didn't know her well enough to know when she spoke falsely?

Astartled look passed across her muzzle at Onyxs' words and she flicked her ears back, muzzle wrinkling up into a snarl. She spat slightly, shaking her head, a cackle escaping her. "Oh brother. My lovely red eyed brother!" She smirked at him. "I was just testing you my dear, dont get your tail in a crook." She nudged him slightly, to lighten his mood. there had been a time She could talk circles around the both of them. That time was over.

He shook his head at her words his ears pressing back to his skull. "No. Our place is here Dawn." He turned his eyes to her, smiling slightly. "This is our home. Its where our family fought to hold their ground. Were not going to give that up... just for a young brutes dreams." He snorted, shaking his head.

SungoldAnother place, like this one but not... anther den... another family.... bloomed in the back of her mind, however, Dawn had grown used to such things. Memories she supposed. She rubbed her face against Haze's shoulder, comforting them both. She couldn't agree with the silvery brute more. No need to leave just for dreams... "Then here we will stay." she smiled and turned her face to the east, where the sun was just starting to peek over the horizon. Onyx
"And prey tell, dear sister, just what were you testing for?" Onyx drawled. She was the alpha, he had already said he'd follow her. As if she needed to 'test' for anything. He gave a mental snort. A fine cover-up, that, but he let her have it. Let her save face, for she seemed to care more for things like that these days. Cymry had changed a great deal with the loss of Angelis.

Cymry was silent, her eyes narrowing slightly, though she breathed in deeply. She glanced around, a frown appearing on her muzzle. "Where is Fell? She wasn't with you?" She asked suddenly, changing the subject. She glanced over at him from the corner of her eye. She would keep a close eye on her lovely brother.

Haze leaned into the gentle nuzzling, watching her gaze at the sun. He himself stared at the fiery star in silence. "You know, we are opposites. You and I. Just like the sun and the moon." He gazed at the pink and purple sky, a small smile appearing on his muzzle. He nuzzled into Dawns shoulder before yawning hugely, his tongue sticking out for a moment. "These early mornings need to stop." He sulked.

sungoldDawn barked out a laugh. "You're the one who just had to get up." she teased. She nuzzled Haze back. "You could always go back to sleep for a while longer." Onyx
"No." He kept his gaze fixed to Cymry before inwardly sighing and almost rolling his eyes. He moved forward to brush his cheek against her shoulder in a rare show of affection. "She'll be here soon enough." He moved away and turned his red eyes to the forest. She'd better be here soon....

Haze made a small noise at her words. Its not my fault." He snorted and shouldered Dawn lightly, his tail swishing back and forth slightly. His ears flicked slightly as she suggested going back to sleep, lifting a shoulder in a shrug he smiled slightly at her. "The sleep is for the weak." he shook out his fur, his eyes turning once, in the direction where the moon had recently disappeared. it doesn't let me sleep. He added silently, his ears flicking back at these thoughts. He didn't understand what was going on. it had been a recent development, since Cole left the urge to waken early had been almost unbearable. He could hear her. Every time the moon is making its descent.
What his pack mate didn't know was it hadn't been a recent wake up. He had been watching the moon since it was at its highest. The scary thought was, the time had flown by, and he was always left wishing it would come back. He breathed in deeply at this thought, turning his eyes to Dawn. "How about we wake Aura up with a small breakfast hmm? The fish will be jumping out of the water right now. practically begging to be caught." He grinned at her, his tail wagging in excitement.

Cymrys' tail bristled slightly as he brushed his cheek on her shoulder. It was very seldom that Onyx would show affection, and it always seemed to startle her. Her green eyes slid after him in silence as he reassured her that Fell would be here soon. She watched him quietly, getting that vibe from him that she usually got when Fell went off on her own. That feeling that if the female didn't come back, he would leave too.
This thought made her sick. She grimaced slightly, padding up beside him. "Prhaps we should just go find her? I want to go check out the borders of the territory. Make sure nothing has been crossing in." She said softly, one ear flicked towards him, waiting for his response.

Fell
Fell heard the call from her 'alpha' but didn't answer. She didn't really except her as her Alpha. The only reason she went along with it was because her brother did. In her mind Onyx and herself were the true offspring of Shade and Nighttide, and they were Alpha's, so why is this other wolf Alpha now? Whatever. She didn't care for such things. As long as there was direction, and maybe a chance to find her mother she'd play along.
And with that thought she stood up and started slinking around towards camp. She kept them waiting long enough to show she didn't come when called, at least not from Cymry's call. She approached camp from a different angle. She was an agile creature and could silently flank any wolf. And she LOVED to show off that ability.
"Looking for me?" She spoke to the two having heard her name. She had gotten with in a few feet of the two before speaking, surely making their hearts jump a beat, even if neither would admit it. Hell her brother probably felt her coming, but that was different. That was their bond.

"You're late." Onyx replied, flicking an ear back at Fell and frowning slightly. He hated it when she tried to sneak up on him. He didn't see any point to it. He gave an inward huff of exasperation. No doubt she only did it to annoy Cymry. How troublesome... Onyx was well aware that his birth sister wasn't fond the white wolf. He had always assumed it was because they were so similar, whether they realized it or not. He had to hide a smirk at that. Fell at least would blow up if ever voiced his opinion on that particular matter. Sungold"Sounds good to me." Dawn grinned and wagged her tail in reply. Lucky Aura, getting breakfast in bed. Dawn herself wasn't overly fond of fish, having much preferred rabbit or venison, but no way was she going to complain. Food was food. Even if it did smell rather.... fishy. No doubt Aura would appreciate it. She got up and began making her way towards the nearby river, knowing Haze would follow. ooc: I love Haze's song!!!
