Kioku points to a house that looks half burnt. "Don't ask what happened, I don't feel like explaining." then goes inside and lets the boy in. "Do you really want to know what the Abandoned Souls are and what they do?" she asks just in case.

Kioku continued, "The abandoned souls have actually been asleep for thousands of years, but now they are now awakening. They have the power to summon demons from alternate worlds. The Abandoned Souls are scarier and worst than the tailed-beasts. This is what your friend and father are. Monsters... not even people... the living dead... trying to destroy our world... and make into theirs." Moment of silence. "That's basically it. There is no more to that."
(I actually made up the 'to destroy our world part' so other than that point everything else is real)

Kioku knew what he was saying, "No..." she says, "You are human. You're not an Abandoned Soul. Abandoned Souls were not born to begin with. They are made into an Abandoned Soul by their own will. They have no choice. They either become an Abandoned Soul or... die in the process of turning into an abandoned soul."

Kioku gave another answer to the boy, "No, it's not possible to control an Abandoned Soul. Abandoned Souls cannot be controlled. They are out of control. The only ones who can stop them from getting out of control is another abandoned soul. They control each other. Anymore questions?" she asks.
