Good morning or afternoon or evening! I'm Cri Du Coeur - the newest member of this guild O: Exciting right? And I'm really craving some roleplaying, so bad, the excitement just might make my pants fly off! Dunt worry... they're on. I kid.
I have this idea, after watching Disney's Alice in Wonderland, and I was curious if anyone would be interested in playing around with the idea if I went through the effort of putting life into this idea. Okay now the idea:
What if Alice in Wonderland was set into a school theme O:
Example so you all don't think I just flew in from Wonderland myself and caught the crazy:
The "Queen" - Crossdressing King who is the principal of this school. He's just as crazy as the Queen.
White Rabbit - Literature teacher! And he's a nervous wreck all the time, kind of a push over, etc... perhaps he's got a pet peeve about things being late. Late work, late students, has a pocket watch and is always lookin' at it.
Cheshire Cat - I'm not quite sure what teacher he could be to be honest. I wasn't sure if he should be something ironic, like the psychology teacher. Hah! No no, that's the Hatter <3 Perhaps the music teacher... or sociology teacher?
Mad Hatter - I wasn't kidding about the psychology teacher. He could still have the bi-polar/split personality disorder thing too. Like I said, ironic much?
Catepillar - I was thinking biology or earth space. Something laid back, or having to do with nature because... well... I dunno about you but Disney, that BONG was pretty noticeable.
Tweedle-Dee/Tweedle-Dum - I wasn't too sure about these either. Whether they should have two different classes to teacher, or teacher the same class. Since they liked to tell stories (that one with the Walrus and the Dude) I thought perhaps literature, but the Rabbit seemed better fitted in my opinion.
Jabberwocky - I realize he's not in the Disney version, but he's in "Through the Looking Glass" and the most recent Tim Burton (<3) film. I absolutely love the name Jabberwocky, though it's a little odd for a first name - perhaps his last? Wasn't sure what class to make his either D: scary man, I'd suppose. I was thinking disciplinary - but those would be the Queen's Cards in the movie. He is the Queen's pet in Burton's movie, however, so perhaps a teacher, Spiral (below) suggested that the Jabberwocky could be the assistant principal. He'll still be the King's secret lover O:
The "Alice"s - those would be the original character students. Preferrably human, perhaps with a few exceptions, I need to look into that more. This humans tumbled into Wonderland and decided to stay there.
The King's "Cards" - So, in the Disney movie, his guards were cards. I don't know if they should stay cards (since ever other non-human character is being humanized such as the C-Cat and W-Rabbit) or become humanized. Leaning towards humanized. but just a few hired hands for the crazy King. If worst comes to worst, we can boot the cards, as they might not even be needed. But I thought of them! That counts...? Another Spiral idea: if we have enough people interested to play some cards - they can be campus, watching the students so things run "smoothly".
ZOMG That was a lot of stuff. But it's out of my system and out for the guild to look upon and judge with (hopefully) kind eyes. This is kind of a silly idea, I must admit, but Alice in Wonderland has forever been my favorite Disney movie since forever ago and I kinda wanted to put a yaoi/school twist into it. I've seen the Yaoi twist, but never the school twist and I'm kind of wanting to try it out if enough people are interested.
If the roleplay was to form, it would be a multi-person event with intermediate to advanced roleplaying skills. If anyone would be willing to help put this idea together I would love you forever and a day!
Please put your opinions/ideas/whatevers here, and if enough people become interested I will announce ZOMG WE'RE A-PUTTIN' THIS TOGETHAR! Which would make me happy <3 but if it doesn't, no biggie. I have plenty of other crazy ideas to throw out into the world~

First of all Welcome to the guild. ^^ Hope you enjoy Rping here, and whatnot.
I have to say this idea is really creative. ^^
I'd be tempted to join, to be honest, but I have a problem with frequency in posting. So if posting frequency is not a problem I would join. ^^
I'll be honest, and say that I have never watched the movie, I did want to; it is the fault of my parents that I didn't see it. They didn't want to take me. DX
So I'd read through the whole post, and couldn't help but want to join. If posting frequency, and not watching the movie are not problems.
Oh an idea, the pet of the Queen Jabberwocky he could be the assistant principal or something along those lines, since you stated that he was a pet in the movie. Why not make him an assistant in your school theme? XD
Oh another idea, the Queen's Cards could be campus monitors, that keep the school running 'smoothly' .

Very creative. If you post an rp format of this idea in the roleplay section with an [M] tag in front of the title I am sure many people will sign up. I would but I am completely incapable of doing multiple-player rps. Not to mention, I'm stocked at the moment. Best of luck to you ^-^

I dunno why I didn't think about the assistant principal position. I'm out of high school for two and a half years, and I'm already forgetting the inner workings of a high school > > Oh dear. Already feeling old and brain damaged.
Anywho, I would l-o-v-e to have you join the roleplay! There are quite a many variations of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, but as long as you grasp the general idea (the craziness, the characters) you should be great~ I'm not a post nazi either. I only ask if you go on vacations to warn ahead of time, please and thanks? Gotta watch out for that real life O: he's a crafty one.

If you're looking for a quick read about Alice in Wonderland, if interested, Amazon has the "Through the Looking Glass" version by Lewis Carroll - one that wasn't a damned Kindle version! - which you can find here. Should be the fourteenth one down. It's a little different from the Disney version if you ever get a chance to see it, and Burton actually took Disney's version and Carroll's version and smacked them together with his epic sauce.XxDarkSaviorxX

I'm still a little iffy on creating the forum at the moment, but if I do get a couple more interested folks I will totally go all out on it~!

I know a lot of people are saying that the whole "all-boys" school idea is getting tired/used too often, but who can argue with a legitimate reason to put everyone in smokin' uniforms and force them into tight quarters with each other for extended periods of time?
The only real thing I have to suggest is that the Cheshire Cat be the sociology teacher or the counselor. Sociology because he always seems to be commenting on people and why they're doing something or why they're thinking something and then asking why they didn't think about it more for themselves rather than just doing what they thought they were thinking when they weren't really thinking at all, now were they? And as for being the counselor, well, he certainly seems to like getting inside people's heads, doesn't he?
Also, doesn't every school need a nurse? Not sure who would play it, but it's another hole spot to fill. As well, you've forgotten the march hare and the field mouse. This should shape up to be quite interesting, though. biggrin
