Irie's translucent figure lifted into the room, silent and pale as ever, she looked around. This classroom would do, it was the right light to see her, plenty of energy sources so she could manifest and grab hold of objects as well. They had really thought about where to place each teacher this year, and likewise, the students seemed to have chosen their classes according to their future choices...or at least, that was what Lachesis was saying earlier.
"This...should be a good year....." was all she said before fading a little more. It would be best to reserve energy.

Nero walked into the classroom expecting to find his teacher. Looking down at his schedule he knew that he was looking for Ms. Specter. He glanced around but didn't see her anywhere. Then his foresight kicked in, he saw the entire scene as if he were standing to the side. Walking a little further into the classroom he found no one, let alone Ms. Specter. Then he witnessed himself being startled by Ms. Specter who had popped out of no where. He snapped out of the vision and spoke, "My name is Nero, and I know you're there Ms. Specter," he said. "No need to try and scare me, I know where you are." He glanced over to the spot where he had just witnessed her scare him from.

"...Scare?" Came the distant reply as the translucent figure started coming to, "I don't scare students....not on the first day of class at least." The woman leaned forward in her chair, propping her elbows in the desk as to rest her chin on the back of a hand. Her bright red eyes closed slowly as she took in a deep breath, trying to solidify her figure just a tad more. So someone was here, that was a lovely thought, it almost created a smile. Almost.

Nero was somewhat surprised and embarrased to find that his vision was wrong but it usually did turn out wrong if he were to say it out loud. "I'll assume that you're Ms. Specter, it's nice to meet you too," he replied. "I'm not quite sure that's very calming to know you don't scare students on the first day of class. So, am I the only one in your class or are there other students that haven't arrived yet?"

"It's hard to say, people transfer a lot within the first few days...." she mused, keeping an icy stare on the boy. Living dead, huh? She was almost jealous of the boy, being solid and so close to alive like that....While she was stuck as nothing more than a misty figure, reliant on power sources and people to sap energy from. The woman leaned back, twirling in her chair to pass time. Only one student....how depressing.

"Hmm... oh well," Nero said with a shrug. "Most of my classes don't have many students either so it's alright. But what, exactly, are you going to teach about haunting?" He had the general idea of what haunting was from stories he'd heard but he didn't quite know what could be taught about it. He liked the idea of haunting for the sole purpose of getting back at the man who had killed him but he wasn't about to tell anyone that.

"Have you ever seen the movie Beetlejuice? It's a good example. Different forms of haunting, effective ways to haunt....things like that." she twirled in the chair once more before stopping and looking at her window. Black out curtains had killed any light that normally streamed through, replaced with candles burning lightly along her desk.

"Hmmm.... I wouldn't know, I don't remember anything from when I was alive," Nero said trying to think back. The only thing he could remember from his past was a few hours before he died and onward. "But I think I understand." Sounds like this is going to be a fun class, he thought as he stroked his chin in thought.

"Good, because we'll watch the movie at least twice this semester....I really like it...." the woman opened a drawer in her desk and pulled the disc out, twirling it in her fingers. Her class was fun...lots of movie watching, lots of haunted houses and practicing on unsuspecting classrooms....She gave extra credit to anyone who could scare her or a teacher. And it was an automatic A+ to anyone who could scare the Divinations teacher since she saw everything.

Nero gave a smile of anticipation for the upcoming year, he knew he was right. He couldn't wait to start the class if they were going to watch a movie, most classes just read out of a book or did boring projects. Maybe I can scare my roommate, he thought devilishly. "So, when shall we start?" he asked with a grin.

"Ah, I suppose we could start the movie...." she mused, waving the DVD through the air. Ah, but they'd only be able to watch so much before the next period started....And she hated so much to start something in case more kids came in....Irie sighed and pulled the chair along to the computer nestled in the corner, plopping the disc into the awaiting laptop. The prjector on the ceiling revved up as the screen pulled down. The ghost yawned and pulled her knees to her chest as the opening credits started.

Staring intently at the screen, Nero had an eager smile on the entire length of the movie. He couldn't remember ever having seen a movie before he died, since his memory only stretched back to just before his death. It was like being a child and seeing your very first movie for him. Everything in the movie was so new and strange to him, he welcomed it and learned from it.

Irie clicked the computer off and looked to her only student, wishing she could take a picture of his face. It was so child like, it made her hope he looked like that each time a movie was shown during the class. A camera would have to be bought before hand, which meant haggling with Demetri....That witch would make it difficult for sure.

Simply mesmerized by the movie, Nero barely noticed that his teacher had spoken. "Huh?" he said coming out of his trance. "Oh, uh... okay. Umm... See you tomorrow Professor Specter." Still thinking about the movie he walked out of the classroom with a wide smile spread across his face.
