I wouldn't mind having a blog.
I mean, I have one of my own, but I kinda abandoned it and yyyyyyyeah.
Everyone could post stuff whenever they wanted.
That would, hopefully, keep it from descending into byte hell.

Wait, would it be a music sharing blog?

I have a blog of my own.... actually from another Gaia guild's blog group on wordpress.com but alas i abandoned it as well... mostly because i had writers block,

the mandatory thing was a joke, though collective group activity in the blog would be pretty necessary otherwise it would fail miserably.(like the blog group i was in earlier)

I would expect it to be an art, literature, music and thought/philosophy/experience sharing blog. I would think that if we were to have a blog group it would be much like this guild... only more serious much less "haha jb said ANOTHER gay joke" much less trolly you know...

so we could review books, comics, albums, films, essays, just general cool s**t. along side talk about ourselves seriousy in a space more non-judgemental and honest.

-essentially everything in this blog could be done here in the guild... but i think there is certain mentality on gaia that stops alot of those practical processes for conversations. not to mention i think blog sites are easier to link to other articles, images and other internet medias.


i think the last.fm group would be great, because then we could have all the Dirty punx peeps in one spot with a list of all the music theyve listend to on the site. It would be really enlightening to learn the surf that ivan rocks, and the rap the jimbo digs, and the electronic music Miss O. enjoys.

it would all be in one place... no links to youtubes of select songs.. but instead links to open up entire genres specific to a style of music to other members of the group that might never have caught on to the genre or style on their own.

im making everything sound way better than it really is...

thats how i roll...

but dont crush my hopes before they even gets off the ground ok...

i like the last.fm idea.. and am very passionate about that because i feel like alot of people talk about bands and subgenres and musical ideas and i have no idea what or who they are talking about. This cant be something only i experience... especially in this guild. so i go out and i try and find a taste of thes bands myself but its never quite as much as i want.

untill i came across last.fm. its always cool cause i can take one band suggestion... and turn it into seven by starting that bands radio on last.fm.

to have a place... one single group where we can all start from without being spread across the internet makes the process of learning about bands and music in general much simpler, and much more accessable.

(i couldnt imagine back in the 90's or 80's getting suggestions to bands... and having to go out and buy an album inorder to jsut listen... Thank god 4 the internet)

im glad the blog idea is more interesting... i wonder if last.fm has a blog set up.... then maybe getting another blog would be obsolete and last.fm would be right there with the blog convos.

Im not sure how to make a group on blogpress... but i think we've got a few options.

1. create a group, have members interested in blogging create profiles and blog URLs of their own, and just have hte group survive together with notices from new posts.

2. We could create 1 blog account and give multiple bloggers the password to that account and post everything under one url.

3. We could create a Sub-forum here in this guild specifically for blogging and establish that as our guild, sacrificing outsider's from veiwing and enjoying it. also assuming we can still maintain serious discussion in gaia.

(i like the #2 idea most because multiple people's posts will be juxtapozed to eachother in a quick easy to navagate system.... which would garuntee activity and regular checking and observation of the blog. also the necessity of trust issue is soooooooooooo anarcho-punk theory it just makes me jolly.)(cons: we all dont trust eachother enough to pour our heart and soul into these things to have some upstart jackass edit our posts and make our blog look like s**t.)

i know there are other options hook me up on new ideas plz.

HAH! just found out that having one account does not require everyone to know the one password...

it would be much like the forums here

each person will have to register to wordpress.com and then I would create the blog, and then I or other administrators of that blog would establish who is in the blog and who isnt.

then everyone that is in the blog can post crazy s**t right next to the previous person.

so i think a url like: Dirtypunx.wordpress.com

and then you guys just register on wordpress.com... and shoot me your account names and i can toss yall in the blog.

The blog would also mean people consistantly writing their own pieces, and not wondering when someone's gonna respond, because there would be a broader range of audience reading the blog. And not having to deal with inactive members would be nice.
