During his earlier days, Arannis split into multiple beings, and among them, the Seakin; a race that can live well in either water or land, though thrives only undersea. Here follows this particular being's story.
(By the way, a Seakin in appearance is just a lean, light blue-skinned human with more fish-like ears.)
Arannis walked along the shore of a beach nearby the village of Lera. Every now and then, he wove a web of water around himself to keep himself from dehydrating, although the open sea nearly called his name several times. After a while, he surrendered to it, smiling, as he dove in, nearing a blur in speed as he wandered the depths.

A tall Water Imp emerged in front of this strange wander
"Who are you and what are you doing im my sea?"
"Have you come to kill our king?"

Arannis stopped suddenly, gazing blankly into the imp's eyes.
"I am Arannis Sikae, and the sea is mine, just as much as it is anyone else's... who are you?"

Kola gave him a mean look then started to swim away

"Human?"
Arannis looked at himself for a moment, then laughed.
"Humans don't talk underwater, you know. Kola, then... Just what is it that you're so paranoid about, anyway?"

Kola started to swim away somemore then paused and looked at Arannis
"How can you understand me?"
"Also how is it that you can breathe underwater?"

Arannis indicated his ears, but then realized that his light blue hair was matted over them, and he ran his hand through it, revealing the inhuman ears.
"Quite simple; I'm not human. I'm a Seakin, Kola. Now why the attitude towards me? We've only just met."

Arannis sighed.
"Strangely enough, 'Air-Breather' fits well enough. I won't complain."
Arannis followed, curious as to what might come of all this.

Arannis paused for a moment, then continued on.
"Gaian? Pshh, Gaia as a whole means nothing to me. My home has always been Liero, the transplanar seas. Sure, land can be fun from time to time, but I prefer somewhere that I can trive in."
He forced himself quickly ahead, circling until he was directly in front of Kola.
"What about you? I have to admit I haven't seen many Sea Imps lately."

Arannis stopped for a moment.
"I see..."
He darted to catch up with Kola, now seeming a free-floating form right next to him.
"Anything I can do to help, then?"
