Tomo stepped into what looked like a school hallway."Where on earth am I?" He whispered. Shivering at the silence he continued down the halls, looking for any sign of life....

Koharu was walking down the hall holding a stack of books she purchased earlier today. School wouldn't start for a few hours, she was here early only so she could get re-acquainted with her surroundings. School was the thing she hated the most, usually she wouldn't attend. The reason was not because it was boring, or difficult. It was because her precious friend Taiki, a white tiger, was not allowed to come with her. It's not fair. She thought lowering her head slightly. He's the closest thing to family I have. Finally reaching her designated locker, she pulled it open stuffing all the books inside, then slammed it closed listening to the echo in the empty halls. Turning she headed for her first classroom, when she noticed a someone who looked lost. Hesitating, she wondered if she should call out to him. Usually Taiki would encourage it, so she decided she must. "Hey, you!" She said jogging over, feeling a little clumsy wearing the required school uniform. "I haven't seen you before, are you new?"

Tomo jolted at the sudden noise."Uh, yes...new. I just got here. Was I supposed to fill out paperwork?" He asked, glancing at the girl.What is she wearing? Looks like its from a graveyard! Her eyes glow green! She must eat baby turtles! No... Tomo thought about this for a few more moments before sighing.Tomo, you are losing it. Baby turtle eater? He chuckled aloud then realized she was still there. "Uh, yeah..." he cleared his throat."I'm Tomo. Who might you be?"

"No paperwork required, as long as you wear the uniform and have the mental capacity your welcomed." Koharu said tugging on her shirt. When Tomo chuckled she tilted her head curiously. This one's a lot stranger than the others I have met. She thought, her memory of the 'goddess of plants' suddenly came to mind. Shaking the thought away she managed a stiff smile. Not one being used to smiling, it was surprisingly difficult. "Ah, my given name is Koharu ." She replied giving up on the smiling thing. "I guess you can say I am a native of this Island."

"Nice to meet you, Tomo-san." Koharu said, not even trying to smile this time. "I can help you, where is it your trying to go, or trying to do?" She looked around wondering how he got in the high school's halls anyway.

Kayla walked into the hall looking up from her paper that had her locker number and combo on it. "hi Koharu!" said Kayla walking down to her. "I'm kayla you are?" she asked the other guy standing next to her.

"Hello Kayla." Koharu replied looking over at her, wondering if she was settling in alright. "Remember, if you need any help, I will be nearby. All you have to do is tell a nearby animal to find me. They always do." She would have attempted to smile, but she rather not make the two think she was strange since she never had any practice at it. "Even if it regards your pregnancy, I will help you."

Yoshi happened to stumble into what looked like a school hallways. Following the line of lockers, he noticed he was not alone. Up ahead were two girls and a boy. Whether they were good friends, or complete strangers was news to him. Being used to living on the run, he instinctively ducked behind a locker wondering where the hell Kenji sent him this time. If you didn't die, I would of kicked your a**. He thought, suddenly struck with grief.

"thanks!" Kayla said turning to her locker which was behind them. She got the combanation right and stuffed some books from the backpack she was caring into it. Kayla's vampire hearing herd the noise by the locker. She got a confused look on her face.

What I just did was pretty stupid. Yoshi told himself as he slid down so that he was now sitting, still safely out of view. I could change to an animal and run, but then I would have to leave behind my only clothes. Sitting there debating with himself. He couldn't find a reasonable solution. He closed his eyes then rested his head against the locker. Kenji, If you were here, this wouldn't of been a problem. Clenching his fist he finally understood the phrase you don't know what you have until it's gone.

Koharu felt unusually glad she was able to help Kayla, she didn't know why. It's usually different for everyone else. Maybe it's because I feel I need to protect her, and her baby. She thought to herself as she watched Kayla put her things away she noticed a very faint sound, like something touching the lockers, but she figured it was nothing then turned to face Tomo. Having the chance to study him a little more closely, she could sense he had a painful past. Of coarse, everyone who entered this Island usually did. Something about him was much different than the other people she met. That's when she felt like the three in the hall weren't the only one's. Turning towards the lockers she felt like someone was near. This is unusual, I never felt this way before, it was always Taiki who had a good sense of people.
