Lynn shifted when she got to her door and pushed the door open Ash's jacket still in her mouth. She trotted to her closet and quickly threw on some clothes. Setting some out for Kyo on the couch she smiled at her. "Make yourself at home." She said tying the strings on her shorts and heading to the kitchen to whip up some tea. There was much she had to tell the young wolf, and she was going to need some soothing tea to do so.

Kyo walked inside taking in the scent of the dorm. The first thing she did was change, dressing quickly in the clothes that had been laid out for her.
Once that was done she dropped on the couch hopping her teacher wouldn't mind. Whenever she changed out of emotion and without wanting to like she had earlier, it always made her tired afterwords. An emotional fatigue of sorts.
She sighed closing her eyes for a moment and listened to Ms. Lynn make the tea.
She'd really been hoping not to loose control like that.
Then there was the hunter...Kyo thought the term sounded familiar but the item had been something she'd never seen before.
She trembled a bit remembering the sound it'd made.

Lynn walked into the the room where Kyo waited bringing two glasses of hot tea. "So you have little to no knowledge of the world outside your pack correct?" She asked setting the cups down and stood next to her book shelf grabbing a few books she thought would be helpful.

Kyo nodded.
"we're not allowed to go outside" she said picking up one of the cups and gazing into it. "It's the main rule, it's supposed to keep us safe, hidden, together."
The strength of the wolf is the pack...
she then added "deviation from it leads to capital punishment. The only ones to ever leave and not be punished were me and my aunt before me, she used to sneak out when she was a teenager the only things i know are bits and pieces she'd tell me before she left for good"
She looked up and smiled somewhat wryly.
"Everything's changed since then" she said "As it is, I don't really know anything that doesn't include being part of and contributing to the pack"
They hadn't really been encouraged to learn things that didn't contribute to the pack. The elder wolves were afraid innovation would make wolves curious of what was outside the pack.

Lynn nodded her pack had be prejudice against things they did no know as well. "One thing you should know is stay away from hunters with guns. The shiny silver thing that made a loud noise. That is a gun. It shoots something called bullets. It's very dangerous and can kill anyone with one shot if aimed right. Now, do you have questions about anything in particular?"

"Did I attack him?" Kyo asked, her voice shaking a bit at the end, she knew she lost control when she shifted out of anger or fear, she'd never killed anyone or even hurt them but she couldn't remember what'd happened before the hunter,
"is that why he wanted to kill me?"
Kyo was innocent not stupid, she knew the boy had every intention of harming her, just like the boy at her class had-surprisingly enough Jez had never crossed that line.
At the same time he hadn't killed Ms. Lynn she'd walked away from him smiling and he'd made no move to attack her. that could only mean it had been something Kyo had done.

Lynn sighed sitting next to the pup. "You know what humans are right?" She asked assuming she knew the answer already. "Some humans and their families have been hurt by our kind and that of the supernatural that they are hateful and bitter inside. Just like our packs tried to do to us, they teach their children to be the same. He was one of those children. He didn't point that gun at you because you did something, he pointed it at you because of what you are." She looked down at her cup of tea. "If I hadn't run into people like him, and if I did not have you to protect, he very well could have killed me. This is another reason learning to show different emotions than what we feel can be so helpful. Inside I was shaken to the core. Being shot is not something I want to experience and neither do you." She looked at Kyo, this news had to be hard for her. Lynn didn't know if she knew there were people out there that killed just based on the race of others.

Kyo kept her gaze on the floor trying to wrap her mind around this. She'd heard of humans like that-it was the reason her pack was kept in an enclave. Away from it all.
She thought about being shot...it didn't sound good.
No she did not want to get shot.
"But you did protect me" Kyo said thinking of the last thing "and he didn't shoot you"
That part confused her, he was a hunter, he was bad, Ms. Lynn had walked away from him and he'd tried nothing on her.

Lynn smiled. "He seems to be a soft kid at heart and didn't want to hurt anyone that wasn't a demon. He defiantly doesn't trust us, but he wont attack if we don't attack first. Plus I'm a psychology student, I know how to make people feel comfortable." She smiled at Kyo. "That's why he didn't hurt me. Now, what else do you want to know about?"

Kyo didn't mention that he didn't seem so soft when he was waving the gun at her face.
"You were able to talk" Kyo said saying the first thing that came to mind. "even in your wolf form."

Lynn nodded "Once you grow a little more and your changing stops becoming so erratic you'll be able to do it too. It takes understanding of your body inside and out to do it, but once you understand what changes you can manipulate it easily." To demonstrate she stood her eyes closed and changed her legs to that of a wolf. Her right knee made a sickening crack as it changed and she winced slightly, the pain was still hard to get used to when she changed her mangled leg. The transformation stopped at her hips allowing her to stay upright. "Its nice for a quick burst of speed." She smiled and changed them back her bare human toes curling in the fluffy carpet.

Kyo nodded understandingly before looking down, remembering how she'd gotten into this mess to begin with.
"i don't have much control" she said stating the obvious "I change sometimes without meaning to"

Lynn nodded remembering that time herself. "I was the same way when I was a pup, my brother and I gave each other some pretty nasty scars during those times. It just takes time and practice. Any other questions? "

Kyo thought for a moment before shaking her head. She touched her shoulder briefly to see that it was starting to heal-though not as fast as it usually would.
"The books will help a lot, thanks" she said.
She just wanted to forget everything from what happened from the astronomy class to what happened with Ash.
...maybe not that.
She blushed surprised at her own thoughts,
"i should go..i still have to look for a dorm" she said stiffling a yawn "thanks for the tea Ms. Lynn,and thanks for everything"

Lynn smiled nodding. "You can come to me for anything Kyo. Would you like to stay here for the night and find a dorm when your rested?" She asked standing by Kyo.
