because of the treatment of animals at factory farms and the use of unnatural substances put into an aniamls food, etc some people choose to but organic free range products.
animals on these farms still don't get to live their natural farms but still get to at least stetch out, go outside, which is damn better than factory farms.
but because of them moving around wouldn't they take use up more energy, therefore eat more food, food that could be fed to our own species, people dying of starvation. this is one of the reasons people go vegan.

I think free-range is like...the lesser of the evils. Like, vegetarian/vegan is definitly better, but if someone is unwilling to give up meat/animal products, free-range is still a better way to go.

While making the transition to veg, free range is a good first step.
