Several months ago, a revelation was made that the Vampire Renegade, Arannis Lekira, was in fact inversely manipulated by the will of a Celestial counterpart by a comparatively young Angel, Amaranth Enseraph. The journey surrounding these events has only recently come to a close, and a forseen reunion looms ever closer.

Carefully looking around to make certain that she was quite alone, Amaranth pulled the emerald out from it's hidden pocket and held it up to gleam in the afforded light.
"Well, I don't see how there would be a time better than this."
She concentrated hard, clenching the gem tightly and with as much force as she needed. Soon enough, the emerald yeiled and cracked under the pressure.

From across the planes, at that very moment, Arannis winced an eye in the sudden realization that his gem had been broken. He held a hand to the side, and opened a portal, which he stepped through, appearing nearby to Amaranth.
"Ah, so the time has come... Sooner than I had expected, in all honesty. I must apologize for the sudden leave, as I'm sure by now you've realized... I shouldn't have to say. What may I do for you, Amaranth?"

The angel turned to look at Arannis.
"If you recall, you asked me to break the jewel that you had given to me once the events regarding Silvane had passed. I have done what you requested of me."

"Indeed, though I must confess... with all that has happened thus far, my memory escapes me for the moment. There was something I would have recommended in place of this, but..."
Arannis sighed.
"There are still some remains. For the moment, I would suggest we make some haste to Celestia. I know someone who I believe to still be in the library's remnants that may shed some light on the situation..."
(And, of course, that would be me.)
(...Just a thought, though... care to double up?)

(I'll do my best)
She nodded, not positive what the current situation was or what role she was to play within it. Yet seeing as there was nothing else at the present which needed her attention, she consented to go ahead with whatever was necessary.

Arannis opened a portal again, stepping through to Celestia's ruined library.
In the slight distance, a figure not unlike an inverse Arannis looked up to him.
"Ah, so the fabled Peacemaker returns to greet his sister. What can I do for you?"
Arannis indicated the still-open portal.
"We will be having a guest shortly."
"We already have one, but alright... Ira, where have you gone?"

Amaranth stepped hesitantly through the portal and stared around in utter amazement. She had heard rumors of this place yet did not ever think that she would see it with her own eyes. She regarded the figure in the distance with similar wonder.
"H-hello."

The figure rose, and nodded slightly to Amaranth, then giggled, looking back at Arannis.
"As always, I presume?"
"Hush, Sinnara... This is a poor time for such things."
Arannis turned to Amaranth.
"Sinnara Desrani, myself in a sense... although as I have said before, some things are beyond my comprehension."
"Amaranth Enseraph, am I correct?" Sinnara smiled, before looking off to the side.
"Where is he...?"

A man came into view from behind a case of books carrying a few worn volumes. He glanced up, seeing company and immediately turned to face Sinnara.
"Were we expecting guests?"
Amaranth simply nodded.
"Yes, that is my name. It is nice to meet you."

Arannis' surprise was clearly evident on his face.
"Sinnara, is this...?"
She nodded.
"Apologies, Ira. In all honesty, I was expecting company much later."
She turned to Arannis.
"The higher planes seem to have an inward connection to themselves of Alternus. Ira and I have been at work for quite some time tracking your history."
"Enough about that. In all honesty, I would rather not have to repeat myself though... Amaranth, please...?"

The angel looked up and nodded before turning to the other two in the room.
"Just a moment, if you will."
Ira held up his hand and flipped open the top book a few pages. After reading a passage, he nodded knowingly to Sinnara before approaching Arannis and Amaranth.
"I believe that I have some idea why you both have come here."
He paused in front of Arannis.
"You want knowledge, we have it. Speak up now if time is of the essence."

"Sinnara, you said that Alternus' origins escape you, back when we met... I have heard the Godling tales of lore several times, and know the potential therein between, well..."
Arannis stopped, doing his absolute best to keep his gaze away from Ira.
"Myself and another. What is to happen for all of this? And..."
He stood slightly straighter, bowing to Ira.
"Forgive my rudeness, I'm sure you might understand..."

Ira seemed satisfied by Arannis' apparent sincerity and headed back to stand beside Sinnara.
"The Godlings may be our only chance, but it is still a slim one even including them."
He turned to face Amaranth.
"Have you been told of these legends?"
The angel thought for several moments, but shook her head.

"The question remains, though... I know the point of my failure, Arannis... If it is for you as it was with myself, then you'll never get the chance. Not unless..."
She looked to Ira, but then back to Arannis, shaking her head.
Arannis turned to telepathy, not wanting Ira to suspect anything too far outside of what was already real in Mortalis.
~Have you not told him? Sinnara...~
~He knows nothing, and I would prefer it that way... The Lone Peacemaker is nothing while not alone at all.~
Arannis only shook his head sadly.
"In any case, Amaranth... I'm sure you have more than enough questions in need of asking."
