Personality type: Shinpachi isn't someone who you would normally think is the Soutaichou if you were to hang out with him. He seems to always be cheerful and energetic especially when around his comrades. He's the kind of guy that even though he's that top rank he would be happy to sit down and have a drink with even the lowest ranks. Though he does have a serious side he often hides unless needed to do otherwise.

Background: Shinpachi's family was well known to be a warrior family in the rukongai though most of them had note joined the gotei 13. Akira Nagakura, Shinpachi's father was the first to do so, making it to the rank of Squad 11 vice captain. When Shinpachi was still very young, just old enough to walk his father took him to meet Mori-Soutaichou, the current captain commander of the gotei 13 at the time. Mori-Soutaichou was looking for personal students in hopes that one of them would become good enough to take his place one day. Out of ten only two were chosen to become students Shinpachi, and what would become his best friend Harada. (the redhead in the picture). From that day forth Shinpachi and Harada became the personal student's of Mori-Soutaichou. Working hard day after day to train with a sword, in hand to hand combat, and kido, and later when they were ready Zanpakuto. Shinpachi had trouble bonding with his zanpakuto, feeling that he would ready use his own strength he would often fight with a normal sword and keep his zanpakuto in it's sheath. However this changed one day when he was out with Harada doing some training and an Arrancar showed up. Harada had bonded well with his zanpakuto but still only had Shikai, and it wasn't enough. The two of them were losing the fight and things were not looking good. Finally in an order to save the life of his best friend Shinpachi called upon his zanpkauto and released it's shikai. Like most the Arrancar laughed at the pathetic looking Shikai but soon fell to the power that was within it. After that Shinpachi started to bond more and more with his zanpkauto realizing how important it was. Finally the day came when it would be announced who would become the new Soutaichou. All the captains and vice captains were there along with a few other important people. When the announcement came Shinpachi was ready to congratulate Harada thinking that for sure Harada would be the one chosen. However when his own name was the one spoken he just stood there in shock for a few minutes as everyone congratulated him. Then shortly after that Mori-Soutaichou died in the heat of battle making Shinpachi the Soutaichou of the Gotei 13. Harada stood by his friends side and helped Shinpachi as much as he could. However Harada became ill with a sickness that couldn't be fixed, and within a few months died. Though Shinpachi took it hard he kept on going, wanting to live on for his teacher and his friend.

Shikai ability: The Shikai is one that plays mind games in a way. The blade it's self looks like a pathetic and sad excuse for a sword. However it holds a large amount of power that once released becomes overwhelming.
utsushidasu(reveal the hidden): Once the command is given Soranaki releases a vast amount of wind that is able to cut just about anything. When it slices threw a living thing it tends to not look like it did anything; however, it cuts up the inside leaving deadly wounds.
