Actually, we have enough to last us a long time. I've been Captain of 3 guilds (which I have handed down to trusted members) and we lived off of 80000 gold for 6 months and still had 78000 to spare. I've been Vice Captain of a certain guild (whose name I shall not repeat) and we still have about 83000.
So we shouldn't really donate in general.
