Since this may affect the subject matter, I'm in the US and I'm viewing this from the US drug's standpoint.
Should drugs be against the law? Not only is this logically a massive undertaking since drug lords basically have unlimited funds, but as we all know where there is demand there is supply.
The truth of the matter is that the reason why there is a drug problem is because the general populace demands that there is one. If the general population demands E, Cocaine, Pot, and so on, then there will be those substances.
Alcohol and Cigarettes are equally harmful to an individual, but these are considered legal and "safe" (meaning they're processed and not made by some guy). If illegal substances were legalized then legitimate businesses would be made and not only that but a massive amount of taxed income would flood the world economy.
Now this isn't only a logical problem but a moral one.
We all know that drugs, whether they be prescription, legal, or illegal drugs are readily available. Now, even though these things are obtainable, the reason why they are is, again, because the general populace demands such.
Should these things be against our moral compasses if the use outweighs those who don't?
PERSONALLY I don't do drugs/alcohol/smoke/anything related to that. I still see more reasons for legalization versus against.
What do you guys think?
