Years after the unification of the Trinitarian Realms, Shanias had finally gathered enough power. Finally, he could forcibly take Dezeroths body. Eddren was slowly being corrupted, and with both of their powers augmenting his already substantial power, he could once again become a God. Soon, very soon, he would create his own world.

Dezeroth sat in the tower, sighing. Administration, however boring, was necessary. He sat down, writing the signature that would authorize the increase of police forces in some far-away kingdom. Suddenly, he felt a familiar, yet alien presence. Dezeroth gasped "No..!" was all he could get out, before his entire body was covered in shadow. He fell to the ground, unconscious. Shanias commanded Eddren, the corruption in his body forcing him to slowly make his way to Chaos.

(It's always Chaos, isn't it?)
Arannis held a hand to his head, as an all-too-familiar call began to ring throughout his mind.
"Is this... no, it can't be!"
He opened a portal off to his right, and hurrying through, reappeared on Chaos.
"Dezeroth! What has happened to you?"

A portal opened behind a grinning, glowing, Vvlore. His expression looked significantly more sinister. Eddren, one arm black and dragging him towards Vvlore, shouted to Arannis "Get back! It's Shanias!"

Arannis' scowl easily showed his disinterest in backing down, however painful it would be.
"Eddren... so long ago we met under the strangest of circumstances..."
He held a hand to the demon, telekinetically forcing Eddren to halt.
"So I ask you now, as something of a friend... will you stand by me?"

"I'd love to, but my swor-Oh..Oh, no!" The last words Eddren said before the now-corrupt Vvlore stabbed an arm through him. Vvlore disappeared, as did Eddren, replaced by another being..A devil like Eddren, it was wrapped with tendrils of black. The being unsheathed its blade, pointing it at Arannis. Flames shot out of it, rapidly changing from red to black to purple. "I think it is time that you returned to Lyrandis." it said, the words seeming to come out from the air itself. "I am Talruni! Your blood is my RIGHT!" he shouted out, launching a barrage of attacks, magical and otherwise, at the celestial.

Arannis barely reacted in time to bring up a wall of force between him and the oncoming onslaught. His concentration broke after a short while, as he launched himself back and away, taking a purely defensive stance.
"Talruni, say...? At least, then, I am not killing a friend. You may say all you wish, but I am not so easily acted on!"

Talruni raised his blade. Thousands of black-holes appeared around it, the room..Indeed, the dimension, darkened. Red lightning struck around the tower. Then, the tower-even the bricks, those that had lasted through black-holes before, were consumed. Destruction was immanent. Then a multi-colored strike of energy destroyed the black-holes. The devil was pushed back by a huge wave of flame.

Arannis nodded, hesitating only slightly to glance back at the terror unleashed on what had, for so long, been his only refuge on all of Chaos, the hope for a rebuilding. He came fast, his longsword Aeriel materializing in his hand as he not only swung across, but also firing an abnormally large ray of light from his free hand.

Talruni took both hits, falling back and burning. The bricks fell in a cascade over him. Three orbs, one purple, one green, and one orange, separated, the green and orange following each-other into a realm unseen by those living, while the purple melded with the ground. The tower lay in ruins..Except that the stone walls which had always been over the towers brickwork rose once again. The bricks themselves seemed to go black before slowly dissolving. The bricks then reappeared in the wall of the Tower. All over, the sky brightened. Finally, the greatest evil of the realm had been conquered. And in the end, so had one of the greatest goods for the realm.
