Grading
In order to be graded, you must post your fei completing the assigment given for each of the five class sessions. The more work you put into your post the better your grading will be. If you wish, you may do a joint RP with another student and post that here for credit to be given to the two of you.
Example: You and another fei go to the library and look up resource material for a assignment. You RP with that other fei looking up the books, reading the passages, writing things down, perhaps goofing off a little bit while doing so. Afterwards you type out the content of your fei's assignment to be handed in.
The more in depth and detailed your RP, or the more time you put into the RP, the better your chances of earning bonus points.
Mind you, you do not need to post any sort of RP. You can just post your fei's completed assignment in order to get credit for the assigment.

Classroom Description
Passing through the door to enter the room used for the Crystal Tapping class, one finds themselves standing in a hexagon room. Discounting the wall in which the door is set, the remaining four walls are made of glass that allow the warm sunlight to enter the room unhindered. The ceiling above rises up into a peak and is also made of glass. Light streams into the room to strike off tables with glass tops and gold frames. Gold chairs decorated with twineing swirls of gold and cushioned white leather seats are set one to each small table. The stone wall is lined with locked closets of dark red wood, yet the glass faces allow the sunlight to stream in and dance merrily upon the clusters of gemstones stored within. From quartz to diamond, clusters and single smoothed stones are kept in seperate grops upon each of the many shelves. A standing blackboardis set at the northern point of the room, and a podium stands a little ways off from it. Beside the podium a ornate chest of steel and cherry wood sits unopened and locked.

Esoi sits upon one of the glass student tables, his gold metal wand out and twirling through his fingers like a baton as he rests his elbow upon his knee, and his chin in his hand. As students filter into the room, he hardly pays any attention to them, until it is the chiming bell signialling the start of classes sounds. With a snap the wand ceases it's twirling, and he points it towards the door. A brillaint flare of crimson gold light streaks from the tip of the wand, slamming into the door with a loud sizzling hiss, and slamming it closed as the chime sounds it's last.
"Okay, so yeah. I'm Professor Esoi and I teach this class."
He starts as he push's off the table and slips his wand into a slender leather sheath on his left thigh. Turning about he gives the classroom a eye over, then shrugs his shoulders in a careless manner.
"You won't be needing your wands in this class, just paper and pens for the most part. We're going to learn about the potential stored in stones of all sorts, and we're going to learn how to tap into it. It's a boreing tedious class so if I catch anyone asleep I'll liven it up with a nice electric shock to your nose."
A smile flickers across his lips as he lifts one finger, and taps it gently against his own nose as he pause's before one of the locked shelves. Fihing out a small golden key, he quickly unlocks a middle shelf, and jerks his thumb towards the now open glass door.
"These here are Quartz crystals. We'll be working with them for a bit first off. Mostly because they are the easiest to find, and the easiest to use. They come in all shapes and sizes, some come in different colors too, such as Rose Quartz and Smokey Quartz. But we're going to work with plain regular clear quartz. Okay, so everybody come on up here and nab yourself a stone. Bigger doesn't mean better either. If you see a stone that seems right just take it, but don't spend all day mulling over it."
Standing back from the case, Esoi crossed his arms, and waited. His teal eyes flickering over the students as they came up to select their stones. Once every student had picked one for themselves, he snapped a stone out himself, and relocked the case.
"Okay, first off quartz is normally used as a healers stone. It can be used to draw out pain from a person, and it amplifies healing powers. A good thing to keep in mind if you intend to go into the healer profession is to always carry a piece of quartz with you. You'll probably notice the nurses in the Healing circle wearing some form of quartz as a matter of fact. Quartz stones have six sides, which represent the six Chakras with the point representing the crown"
Lifting a finger once again, Esoi tapped his forehead before continuing.
"Now normally Quartz crystals have a flat base, that being where the crystal was connected to the stone it grew off of, it usually starts off cloudy in color, and gains in clarity as it reachs it's point. Every Quartz crystal has it's own unique vibration, or frequency. Which is why sometimes a stone will seem to be 'just right' when you see or touch it. It means it's more in tune with you. Course that doesn't mean you can't use it if it doesn't have that 'right feel'. It just means it'll take you a little bit more effort. Quartz is one of the few stones that has the unique ability to cast off the color of other stones. because of this it can be used as a subsitute in spells for a stone you may be missing. It's also one heck of a amplifier for powers your already working with. While it is mostly well known for it's use in healing, you can use it in about any other kind of magical working."
Pauseing to eye the clock, Esoi flipped the quartz in his hand up into the air once and caught it as it spiraled down, his eyes ghosting over the class a brief second before he caught it.
"One thing you all need to know when handling your stone is this...Though stones are born of the earth and in the earth, they have a strong connection to all of nature and all of the elements. Once taken from the earth, stones are more powerful, and more happy as it were, being outside in the sunlight."
LIfting his hand, Esoi gestured to the glass walls and roof of the room.
"To better empower a stone, washing it in a source of clean running water will cleanse it. As you wash the water over it, you need to imagin in your mind that your fingers and the water is washing away a dark clinging coat of maybe dirt or grime. Once the image in your mind is clean and sparkling, lay the stone out in the sunlight to dry. This helps the stone wash away negative energy that it collects through every day use or just by sitting around, and laying it in the sun will energize it."
"Your assignment for next weeks class is this. Take your crystal there and find a source of running water. Practice the cleanseing technique I just described to you, and energize your crystal. In addition, I want you all to research a use for the quartz crystal and write a small paragraph about what the crystal can be used for, besides what I told ya all today. Okay, now get out of here..."
With a flick of his hand towards the door, Esoi wandered over to the podium to pick through some papers that had been hidden behind it with a sigh.

((I was told to post this here...so just poke me if I shouldn't.)) Leena passed her crystal over her fingers slowly as she exited the dorms. After class the other day she had been interested to try out her assigment early on. This crystal was probably one of the smaller ones but was so perfectly shaped and it called to her....so she had to take it. Maybe the Professor will let us keep them and put them on a necklace! she thought as she wandered over the hills to a river she knew to be there. Suddendly, at a rise in the hills she could ee alot of her classmates at the river all trying things with thier quartz crystals. Looking down at her quartz she decided to walk further away from them, this was supposed to be some sort of ritual and she need to be splashed in the middle of it. Still passing the crystal through her fingers, Leena finally came to the edge of the river far enough away from the other children that she couldn't hear them. Sitting down and flipping her long blonde hair from her face, she dipped one pink hand hesitnatly into the water. It was cool, but not cold.
Getting down closer to the River, she edged in the pink hand with the quartz in it and began to slightly rub it, imaging brushing off the dirt and all the diry things from it like her professor had said to do. After a few minutes she lifted it from the water and looked at it. Nothing seemed diffrent. Leena thought for a moment and decided that a few minutes and minimal thought weren't going to be enough. Slipping the stone back into the water and really imagining cleansing it, she felt a slight ingle in her hands.
Half an hour later Leena was walking back to her dorm string in wonder at the quartz in her hand. It didn't really look any diffrent, but she knew it was cleansed. Now it was time for the research portion of her assignment....
Sitting in the main area of her dorm Leena flipped open the pages of a large book on crystals. They had always fascinated her and she loved to read so it was only natural that she would have a few books about them. She may struggle a few times on physical tasks but reading was one of favortie things. This would be snap. After finding the page about crystals she went into her room to retrieve a piece of parchement and a quill alolng with some ink. Returning, Leena set her supplies down, brushed back her long blonde hair, and began to write.Written Assingment Quartz crystal comes in a variety of colors and is found in many regions of the world. It is a very common gemstone made in the earth's crust and the most common color is clear. There are many uses for this crystal especially in the Healing areas of magick. Other uses for this stone are as a blancer, to balance ones energy and to channel your feelings through. It is a good gem to use when focusing your feelings and energy, especially love. Rose quartz is the most effective for channeling feelings of love but all types of quartz will work with greater amounts of energy. This woul be helpful to those who control Star Magic as I do since it is hard for us to keep our emotions contained sometimes and this would give us a focused point for feelings of love. Esoi's Grading At the start of Class, Esoi waits with a look of little patcience on his face for the students to filter into his room. With a flippant snap of his hand, he gestures towards his desk. "Okay you snots. Line up and lets see how bad you did." Plunking himself down in his chair, Esoi reach's for your stone and parchment. Holding the stone between his thumb and forefinger, the sour look melts off Esoi's face as he inspects the quartz. A slight nod of his head comes as he set's it down before your fey. Then picking up the parchment, he makes quick work of reading through the content. "Well looks like you did a good job on this. Pretty fancy words for a shrimp but I guess thats what dictonarys and thesaures' are for." Taking up his quill Esoi quickly scratchs the letter A onto the paper and shoves it back towards your fey. "Now sit down."

(Note: All spelling errors are purposely put there because of my child's intelligence *lol*)::She wasn't happy, sitting with folded legs on her bed staring at the crystal that fit in her palm. It was pointy on one side and sort of rough on the other. It was cloudy there too so she didn't see why it was called clear, it was sorta partially clear and plus when she looked inside the clear places she could see stuff. Like images, or things caught inside. What was that assignment again? She had to wash her crystal and energize it... and then write a paragraph about another use for it. Scratching at the shock of silver hair that sprouted from her head she'd furrow her brows in a deep frown...
"Fine then..."
jumping up from the bed she'd go into the bathroom that she shared with another kid she'd not met yet... she'd put the stone in the basin...and then start to swirl her hand around in the water. She didn't feel like going outside and this water was just as clean as the water out there! She'd pour more water into the basin from the pitcher and swirl some more... swish, swish, splash, swish! Picking up the stone and looking at it with squinty eyes. It looked clean enough, rubbing her fingers over it she didn't feel any dirt or grit. So of course she did it right. Going back into her bedroom she'd set the crystal on the window sill in the sunlight. Now came the hard part....
She sat there for hours, reading books, or at least trying to.... struggling over the words and the meanings inside. The only thing that she could get from all of this was that it was a stone that could be used for scrying, for sending messages.... or at least that's what she thought.... and so she tried it... she'd go to the window, pluck up her stone and hold it in her fist, clenching her eyes closed tight she'd think as hard as she could and then she'd put it back down. She'd jot out in semi-legible hand writing.Quote: Quartz's can be used to mak othur pepil hear stuff that you are thinking. It's used for scring to. Quatz is very good for this sort of stuff. Or that's what it says in the book but I don't think so. It's just about as usful to just look at. Becaze I think it traps stuff in it. "Okay you snots. Line up and lets see how bad you did." Plunking himself down in his chair, Esoi reach's for your stone and parchment. Holding the stone between his thumb and forefinger, Esoi's eyes narrow slightly before he litterlly slams the crystal down before your fey. "Give me that parchment." Came the virtual snarl from his lips as he would rip it away from your fey's hand. He had barely managed to read the first line, before a loud unpleasent laugh came from him. Reading through the paper, his laughter only grows louder, till he finally places the paper beforehim on the desk. With the snap of a single finger, a ball of yellow flame appears flickering over his fingertips. BAM! Flicking his wrist, the ball of flame streaked towards your fey's assignment, striking it and turning it to ash in seconds. Useing the tip of his finger, Esoi smirks as he draws the letter F in the remaining ashes. "Take your stupid a** self back to your seat and be quiet. The most you can hope for is to learn the difference between wood and stone here."

The dark elf child peers at her quartz crystal with disdain as she walks down from the Academy to the nearby forest. The nearby stream has been perfect for her to relax in, and now it will suit her homework beautifully. 'Why do I have to do gem magic,' Kekvit asks herself mentally. 'It is so beneath me.'
With a sigh, she sets her notebook and pen aside and steps into the stream, wading in to waist deep. Remembering the instructions from class, she closes her eyes and lays on her back, allowing her body to float, before cleansing the crystal as per the instructions. Taking notes in the nearby notepad, Kekvit reflects heavily on what she has learned.Quote: Of the majority of quartz's, only the rose, smokey, ruby, and milky quartz have the primary function of magic use.
The primary function of the quartz is as a foci; an object for the enchanter to focus his or her energies on to enhance or modify certain spells.
The milky quartz is the most common of all the quartz, and thankfully attuned to the energies of water magic. Unfortunately, the commonality of the stone prevents focusing energies on anything greater than a cantrip. Had the milk quartz been more rarer, a stronger focus could have been formed. Esoi's Grading At the start of Class, Esoi waits with a look of little patcience on his face for the students to filter into his room. With a flippant snap of his hand, he gestures towards his desk. "Okay you snots. Line up and lets see how bad you did." Tapping his foot under his desk Esoi reach's for your stone and parchment. Holding the stone between his thumb and forefinger, Esoi's gaze doesn't change much. He tilts the stone left then right, then merely drops it with a clunk back on the desk. Lifting the parchment handed in, his expression doesn't change this time either. Actually, he merely shrugs his shoulders and picks up his quill to scratch the letter B onto the paper. "Least your not as retarded as the last student. Take your stone and sit down"

Huffing boredly as he listened to Esoi explain the uses of Quartz to the class he thought to himself if people had just bothered to pick up books they wouldn't need this class at all.
The teen had found a small piece of quartz that seemed unlike the others in it's soft pearlesque shade.
Holding it up now as he tried to overcome the tediousness of the proceedings as he gazed into it's milky surface.
Realizing that the class was over he came to his feet and quietly left the room along with all the smaller fey. It was tiresome being in the same class as children but he could manage since he knew that the class was mandatory in his getting into a more mature setting.
Watching the others head off in their own directions he sighed and went about thinking of places that had clean and pure water sources that he could use to purify the crystal he held.
Sucking his cheeks in a bit he thought for a moment then grinned to himself. Of course that was perfect!
Walking off he made his way to the old chapel and the graveyard behind it where he noted the running fountain. Good! Now he could just use that and get the stupid assignment over with.
Stopping in front of the cascading water he shoved his hand under the cool water and rolled the stone about in his hand imagining that the stone was cool and clear. Devoid of any blemish.
When he pulled his chilled hand back out from under the falling water he smiled at the smooth clear and shining surface that greeted him. Well now that was quite easyily done. Hopefully the next assignment could be more challenging.
He turned back to return to his room and write the paper that was necessary.Soliel's assignment Quartz is often used by psychics and healers alike as it is a perfect amplifier of a persons energy. A healer may use the stone to attune themselves with the subject they are healing or they can use it to in fact focus their own energy on a certain aspect of the person or animal they wish to cleanse or heal. Pschics often use a quartz crystal to amplify their own psychic abilities beyond their normal range. They have many different reasons for doing this however the most common is to reach a level so that they may communicate with spirits that reside around them. This helps them to speak with a persons dead loved ones as well as to cross over the barrier and learn secrets that others may not be privy too. The most useful of all the quartz are those that come in a transluscent colouration as they channel mental energies far more clearly then the smoky or rose coloured versions. Esoi's Grading At the start of Class, Esoi waits with a look of little patcience on his face for the students to filter into his room. With a flippant snap of his hand, he gestures towards his desk. "Okay you snots. Line up and lets see how bad you did." When your fey steps up to hand his stone and assignment in, a extremly dark look crosses Esoi's face. Ripping both parchment and stone from your fey's hands, he glares intensely at the stone in his plam. "mutter mutter mutter....clip their wings....grumble mutter grumble"Slamming the stone down on the desk, it bounces once and nearly rolls off the edge as Esoi grips the parchment tightly in one hand and stares at it with such an intense gaze that he almost appeared to be trying to burn holes in it with his eyes. "FINE!" He suddenly shouts. Grabbing his quill pen he angerly slash's the letter A into the parchment with such force the paper tears a little at the peak of the A. Throwing it back at your fey, he stabs a finger towards the seats of the room. "SIT!"

Humming lightly, Sundance walks toward the small running river that is located near the academy wearing flame-themed wrap-around skirt and matching halter top. She sighs lightly as she looks down at the river while she pulls her skirt down revealing black biniki bottom then she pulls the top off carefully. She now stands there in her biniki feeling at peace with herself because on her way over here, she have been clearing her mind and getting rid of the negative emotions. She pulls the quartz from the small pounch and holds it in her hands, closing her eyes visualizing herself being engulfed in positive white light then she steps in the cold running water, visualizing the negative energy being washed away from both the crystal and herself. She sits down in the water that goes up to her neck with her hair sweeping lazily behind her in the water and she rubs the crystal lightly, visualizing the dirt, grime, negative aura and emotions being washed away. After a hour of her sitting there with her eyes closed, she feels very peaceful and content when she gets up walking over to the bank of the river. She lays down on her stomach and takes a very short nap so she could revealize herself and dry herself off under the merciless noon sun.
2 hours later, Sundance wakes up and realizes that she needs to write down the short paragraph for the class that is due very soon. Sundance sighs lightly as she looks down at the quartz while she sits up near the small running river. "Quartz...what does it do?" She mumbles as she picks up the books she signed out the library and checks the index to find the page numbers. Holding the crysatl in his hand, Esoi's lock on it like it were some bug he were just wishing to crush in his fist. However, as he rolls the stone over in his palm, the intense look of fury abates. "S'...not too bad....for a kid." He grudgingly speaks as he hands the stone back to your fey. Picking up the parchment, Esoi blinked...then blinked a second and then a third time. "The hell is this? I said small paragraph, not a bloody news artical." Reguardless his eyes dart over the lines. Reading them with a thin lipped grimance on his face. Setting the paper down before him, Esoi picks up his quill and hovers it over the paper for a moment. With a small huff he press's the tip to the paper and writes out a letter A on it. Flicking it towards your fey he grumbles. "Next time don't try to show off how much of a nerd you are. Take your stone and sit down."

Homework assignments? The teacher was kidding, right? Dane wasn't exactly the type of person to just sit down and do an assignment, unless it was for something that really interested him. But alas, if he didn't do this and failed his classes, Summer would definatly go all 'evil' on him. That was the last thing the gothic fey wanted, for his mother he spaz.
Sighing, the young boy took his quartz and waited until the sun went down and it became dark. Dane needed his surroundings to be that way, otherwise he refused to work.
As the clock told him it was midnight, the young fey wandered towards a small pond in the forest and sat down right next to it, and dunked his quartz into the water. It that stupid teacher wanted him to go into the water as well, he'd just have to shoove it, because Dane was NOT going to do that.
Professor Esoi said that he had to pretend he was washing away the dirty part of the quartz, but why? This project was so girly, it disgusted Dane beyond reason. "Cleaning and sparkling your quartz! Oh how wonderfully fun does that sound, class?" The boy said, mocking the teacher in the sing song voice. Luckily, the darkness surrounding him calmed the fey, so it actually didn't mind doing this.
After a few moments of sticking his hand in the freezing cold water, along with the quartz, Dane grew terribly bored. He just didn't see the point of this at all, so he took the quartz out. Now what? Lay it out in the sunlight? Dane looked up and laughed viciously. The moon was out, there was no sun. Ha! He decided to just leave his quartz on the ground next to the pond and get it in the morning right when the sun came up. That would give it enough time to 'energize' and it satisfied him as well.
Sighing, he took out a small quill and a piece of paper and laid down, thinking about what to write. He had studied the quartz, like the professor had asked...but not when there was other students around. Them seeing him in the library was very very embarrasing. With only the moon and the stars for light, Dane began to write up a small paragraph.Dane's Work The most common quartz would be the clear rock crystal type, which is both piezoelectric (which means the generation of electricy that is subjected to mechanical stress or applied voltage) and pyroelectric (Relating to or exhibiting pyroelectricity). The clear quartz crystal is used to help with electricy things, making them work a lot better. The rose quartz, when used properly, can calm a person. It can help restore a person's emotions and keep them from being afraid, or having any type of anger. Another type of quartz that is very popular, the smoky quartz is used a lot in meditation. It can clense a body, mind and soul of one person, and relaxes the stress you feel. It can also help you consentrate better. Esoi's Grading At the start of Class, Esoi waits with a look of little patcience on his face for the students to filter into his room. With a flippant snap of his hand, he gestures towards his desk. "Okay you snots. Line up and lets see how bad you did." Slightly calmer then he was a few moments ago, Esoi plucks the crystal from your fey's hand and starts to examin it. Almost instantly the dark look returns to his face. With a uncaring snap of his wrist he tosses the stone up into your fey's face. "Your research better be damn impressive moron. This stone has about the same sort of charge as your brain." Lifting the paper up so he can scan it over, the sour look returns to Esoi's face as he grudgingly picks up his quill and scrawls the letter C onto the paper. "Your as much a nerd as the gold girl is, if it weren't for that you'd get and F for handing in an incomplete assignment. Now take your dead stone and get in your seat."
