And those kinds of video games teach children like myself

i couldn't agree more,they not only teach the basic,they also teach how to use your sorrounding enviorment for your own advantage,lets say for example,an abandoned mall,there are loads of restaurants if you want some food suplies,gun shops,if you need guns or ammo,hunt gear shops,if you need resistant boots,guns,or bear traps,i could go all day with a list of stores that would have all you need to prevent form being dinner for the walkers.and they teach how to build up barricades with wood planks and nails.i have some survival horror games myself.resident evil 5,fort zombie and fallout 3,and thats how i got half of my knowledge about zombie survival.
