Now that things have come to an end in Alternus - and in fact, Alternus itself come to an end - Lyrandis and Terra return to Mortalis, deciding to take a brief break from the sudden swell of action. They come to the Last Blood Cafe, to revisit their parents and perhaps make an acquaintance of Okiku, whom they never had the chance to meet, while a lingering darkness gathers over the rest of Mortalis, the children unawares...

The cast:
Lyrandis (played, of course, by Lyrandis Desrani)
Terra (played, naturally, by Terra Desrani)
Sinnara (by Lyrandis)
Ira (by Terra)
Arannis (by Lyrandis)
Eri (by Terra)
Okiku (color works, I hope) (by Terra)
Anyone else (by the invited guys that happen to show - color of choice there)

Terra burst into the cafe, stretching wearily before collapsing in a nearby chair.

"Ah! Finally a chance to rest!"

A ghostly head appeared through one of the walls, looking for the source of the sound.

"What was that?"

She paused when she spotted the newcomer and pulled herself the rest of the way through into the open cafe.

"Ah! Welcome to the Last Blood Cafe! How may I help you- wait a minute, you seem really familiar. Have you been here before?"

Terra looked curiously at the ghost.

"Yes, I've been here, but I don't remember you. Who- what are you?"

Eri started down the staircase, but paused at the sound of voices. She peered down cautiously, but smiled and hurried down when she recognized the familiar faces.

"Terra! You're back!"

She ran forward and embraced her daughter.

"Where have you been? And where is your brother?"

Lyrandis, who had been waiting just outside the wall next to the door, chuckled before coming inside.

"I'm right here, mom. So quick to lose faith, are we?"

"Wai- Eri!"

Arannis hurried down the stairs, but stopped equally suddenly at the sight of the twins.

"Ah. Fair enough then. Welcome back, children."

~Arannis, Eri... do you remember how you two were wedded? I need to ask a favor...~

Arannis only smiled, not exactly willing to betray his having heard the request.

~Good to... hear, from you, Sinnara. I'd be happy to help.~

Terra accepted the hug and grinned at her father.

"Good to see you too, dad."

Okiku caught the enthusiastic mood and merrily joined in.

"Alright! A welcome home party! I'll get the drinks!"

She scurried back to the counter to make preparations.

Eri smiled to Lyrandis and gave him a hug as well.

"It's good to see you both again."

She turned her attention to Sinnara.

~What is it that you need?~

~Ah, yes. How could I forget? You haven't met Ira, have you?~

Sinnara came away from her dagger, taking form and physique again. She gave a slight curtsy to Eri, and nodded to Arannis.

"Ira, come now, don't be so shy."

Arannis stepped closer to the children.

"You two look like you've been through Hell and worse already. What happened to you two?"

"Worse, yes... Hell itself, not so much."

Lyrandis chuckled.

Terra couldn't help but laugh at her brother's comment, but she didn't want to say anything more.

Ira sulked out of the dagger and bowed formally to the both of them.

"It is nice to meet you."

"What?"

Lyrandis' innocent bluff took up his tone.

"It's an honor, Ira. So, I take it things between you and Sinnara are as splendid as ever?"

Sinnara blushed, but sighed.

"Nearly."

~Ira, he doesn't remember what happened to him in Darcul... I beg you, don't let him find out. Eri would never give him the end of it, based on your own reaction.~

Lyrandis laughed at the sheer idiotic irony of everything.

"It's interesting, just how strange our existence truly is. Created through a means outside of the norm, through the lives of those parents who might as well have failed, had it not been for a number of well-known interventions by those that would never have existed otherwise. A paradox within three others, or something near to it."

Terra lay her head against the table.

"Ugh, I don't even want to think about it."

Okiku hurried back to the table and distributed the various drinks.

"Let me know if you need anything else."

Eri smiled at the ghost, thanking her before turning to the other two.

"I am glad to have met the both of you as well. It is good to know that our children were well taken care of."

Ira nodded and came to stand beside Sinnara, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

Sinnara's smile could hardly have been any warmer.

"Ira, meet... yourself, as it happened otherwise."

"Ah, so I assume things are... underway, then?"

~Ira, do tell me she's been good to you... I'd never allow myself any difference.~

Lyrandis looked over to Terra.

"Come on, relax. It's over now, at least... for, now."

Ira nodded a greeting, trying to understand the similarities and differences between himself and Eri as well as those between Arannis and Sinnara.

~You need not worry, she has been nothing if not good to me as well as very forgiving of my flaws.~

Terra leaned back in her chair, risking a wan smile.

"Yeah, for now."

She sighed contently and allowed her eyes to close.

~I couldn't have asked for more. Although I would ask what you've been through, I suspect there's something that, all things considered, might need replicating, no?~

"Eri, do you remember what happened when we first arrived, with my lord Takeda, and Lord Zann Hikami?"

Lyrandis' eyes widened, nearly to a point where they threatened to roll out of their sockets.

Eri nodded, her face reddening slightly at the memory.

"Yes, I remember."

~There is quite a story, my friend. Of that I can assure you. Yet for now I believe that it would be best to leave that for another time.~

"I suppose, then, that it might be time to pass the honors, no? Besides, it wouldn't come between us in the slightest. If anything, it would only serve as a rather completed story on our part."

Sinnara's face came a deep red - as much as could be said for her already purple features, as he made his implications. She reached a hand to Ira.

Lyrandis turned to Terra, and chuckled.

"Imagine that. Our parents, marrying our would-be parents. How perfectly funny."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2010 6:44 pm

Terra kept her eyes closed as she laughed.

"I guess it had to happen sooner or later."

Ira clasped Sinnara's hands in his.

~You make a very good point, Arannis. I will tell you what I can.~

"As it happened, seemingly only yesterday... shall we, Eri?"

Arannis came around behind Sinnara, his hand coming to her shoulder.

Lyrandis turned to Okiku.

"I know how jumpy you get, but please, this isn't the time."

(I *cough* will be on again in about... 15 min. or so, and then it's liable to turn into an all-nighter. I'm likely to get very bored tonight if you can't stick around...)
