The Forty-fourth Training Ground. Its primary function served as a testing ground for the survival and fighting skills of genin trying to become a chūnin. It was a very dangerous place, filled with hordes of flora and fauna; often gigantic, poisonous — or even more likely, both — hence its name.

A metallic fence surrounds its perimeter with 44 gates equally spaced around it; this perimeter is where the shinobi entered. Inside is a river, the forest, and a tower located in the exact center; the forest's radius is about ten kilometers. It lies on the north of the Forty-third Training Ground.

User ImageToday was the moment of genuineness. Zui wasn’t panicky in the smallest amount because unfortunately, his wits processed this information completely unusual. Sure, he knew today was the Chuunin exams but he knew nothing about any of the previous Chuunin exams. So to say he wasn’t prepared was the sarcasm of the century. As he walked by the crowed of people with in the Konoha streets he smiled at them. He was even stopped by some of them. They inquired where he would be going and he spoke to them in his swollen with pride and slightly foolhardy voice.

” Don’t you worry at all! Zui is going to do very good in the Chuunin Exams. I have been waiting for this day because I cannot be your Genin forever. However, no matter how good I do, win or lose, I promise I will not go to meet my maker! Konoha’s silver blanket is here to shield you all. Keep you warm in time of need.”

After his self-assured words some of the people chortled at him and regardless of knowing that he may have a minor problem with in his psyche, they could only smile. He was determined. They could at least say that with buoyancy. However, about him surviving, only little numbers were with him on that side of the dinner plate. Hmph, well that’s because they didn’t know what he was really capable of yet. Soon though, it would make itself lucid. Through this short period of time, preparation with his nee chan, and getting pumbled by Utau-chan was going very well. He had even made some development with Kenji and had learned a lot. All that led up to him learning the basics of his kekkai genkai so, he would give it his all. It was as uncomplicated as that. However, Utau-chan would be there as well and he couldn’t afford to go down in front of her. Well, he wasn’t really scared of approaching in the forest death on his own but he would hope to see his friends there along with the other ninja’s from the separate villages that would be in attendance.

The hoary, ashen haired genin soon would arrive and see the gaggle of communal ninjas in the vicinity. His eyes widened with excitement and he couldn’t help it, he just had to have a word up. This would not be such a first-rate initiative. He didn’t even know what he was truly saying and in all probability wouldn’t unless someone pointed it out to him. Even if they did, it wouldn’t all descend in to the crevices of his mental psyche right away. He looked around turning his body in a circle and once he took a good look at everyone, he had to announce himself. He was even trying to hold it back but the exhilaration and enthusiasm just was defeating him too easily today.

”……..It’s nice to meet everyone here! I am a Genin from Konoha known as the Silver Blanket. You can all address me by that name, but birth name is Zui Kurata and…….”

A small pebble would come to impact the side of Zui’s head causing him to grasp his the part of his skull where the stone impacted. He rubbed profusely on the spot to try and lessen the pain. His body contorted in multiple ways until he finally was able to pull his head up. He looked up in the direction where the pebble came from with teary eyes. He didn’t see who the culprit was behind it but he didn’t even know why he was hit. He would soon find out which one of them had done such a thing.

” Hey kid, what makes you think we care anything about you? What a ridiculous name anyway. You know, you make Konoha look fairly weak.”

Zui looked at him, starring as if he were some kind of creeper. No idiom had taken over his facade, however his eyes quickly narrowed. This guy would be the earliest victim to see what happened when Zui reverted to the authentic him. Zui stood up straight with a smirk taken control over his visage.

” Oh, so I assume it was you eh? Not a problem, shall we continue where we left off?”

Those were the only questions that were asked before footsteps could be heard. The guy couldn’t wait to enter the forest to kill this little silver haired brat. He approached and before he could make it with in four feet of Zui, a stone, only slightly bigger in size slammed into his forehead. The ninja grasped his forehead and cringed in pain slightly for a while. Zui couldn’t help but chuckle. He would be sure to target this man when the exams started.

” Sneak attacking me, and then getting hit with the same assault? It makes you look comparatively feeble, and dim-witted.”

It seemed that the ninja wanted to attack again but his teammates held him back because of the approaching Jounin. Just like that, Zui would revert back to his dimwitted self and he rubbed the side of his head. It was like he wasn’t even aware of what just happened. All he could do was let his mind wonder with thoughts. ”Maybe Utau-chan, or Nee-chan has something to ease the twinge on my head. Something hit Zui. Well, Zui will just have to be more attentive from now on.” Just like that, he just kept one hand on the side of his head and smiled at all of the combatants. Yeah, Zui was quite……..odd.

User ImageLuna alone with the other three Genin from the sound village had made their presence known upon entering. At first, they weren’t allowed to come through the gates but after she explained why they were there, and when everything was straightened out and they saw their certificate of approval, they were greeted with respect and let into the village. They were offered an escort or a map to the area and of course they chose the map. They didn’t need a guide to show them the in’s and out of Konoha. They didn’t even plan to be in this area overly long. They just wanted to prove their worth as ninjas and go back home and better themselves. As the three of them traveled through the village, she took notice to the many gathering of people and marketplace of Konoha. She already had ate before she came and she wasn’t going to become a fan of this so called special ramen. So she stopped to look at the map once more and then would find her way to the forest of death.

When arrival she just smirked at all the competitors but what seemed to be grabbing the attention was the silver haired genin introducing himself. Well, she could say that at least he gave off the impression that Konoha ninja’s were friendly. She had to cover her mouth to keep from laughing though. Did he just say his name was Konoha’s silver blanket? She couldn’t hold it in and she had to snicker. These Konoha ninja were funny or perhaps this one was just highly stupid. Either way you looked at, it was entertaining. He didn’t get a chance to finish his little speech of welcome because obviously one of the ninjas decided it was time for him to shut up.

A pebble was chucked in his direction with accuracy and speed and she followed it until she heard it smack into his head. She shook her head and looked at him. It obviously hurt from the way his body was moving and they expression he showed when he rubbed his head. She had felt sorry for him but she wasn’t going to help him, she could care less if he lived or died. Still, the situation did not call for all of that. Konoha’s silver blanket was quick to retaliate and her eyes widened. Maybe she was the only one who visualized it but everything about him had changed in a split second, his personality, the air about him, was he pretending to be a idiot this whole time? He quickly showed that he was more than capable of dealing with the small threat. Even going so far as to embarrass the guy in the same manner. What a sneaky disguise this ninja had. Well, that just made things more interesting. A smirk appeared on her face and she waited for things to be explained.

It was about time he was going to have a chance to kill something. All this time he had been shackled up with his teammates. It wasn’t really a bad thing but the lack of seeing his opponent’s blood was being to wear and tear on his patience. The journey to Konoha was average. Not something that he could say was too far away. Either that or he didn’t really feel like complaining about it. When they arrived at the gate Sho was about to enter when a weapon was placed in front of him asking his business. He looked up and glared at the meaningless guard. If Luna would not have spoke up, he would have issued some murder right then and there. They even went about asking did they need an escort. What the hell? ”Give us the damn map. The day we need escorts from Konoha ninjas is the day my life has officially ended.” His voice came off dry and uncaring of his words. He walked passed them and glared back at them as if warning them.

He didn’t care to notice anything in this village. Not their culture, not how they operated. No, he didn’t care to know anything because to him, they all would soon be dead. That’s how he looked at it. So the journey to the forest of death didn’t seem long at all. When he arrived the expression on his face remained the same. He went about to glare at all individuals present. They were just opponents for him.

Something very annoying took control of the sound around his ears. A voice and a stupid one at that. Sho tried to block it out but it just wouldn’t shut up. When he looked up, minor events were playing out. Clearly the guy who the Konoha ninja ad embarrassed was a weak ninja. Something so stupid would never work on him. For some unknown reason, he could say that he honestly hated this….Silver blanket. What kind of a name was that to go by? No, he would just kill him when all of this started. One thing he hated more than anything was an idiot. This silver haired dumbass was clearly that so when all of this started, he would make it clear to Akabara and Luna.” I’m going to kill him.” That’s all that was voiced and they both knew the reason.

Haaa…. So it was all going down from her perch in the tree, she watched as Zui and a few other genin were the first to turn up. How long had she been situated waiting for orders? Too long, even Tsume beside her had fallen asleep. ’Yosh…’ She breathed in her mind as she shifted around in the nearby tree. Raising her arms above her head she fell back wards and stood upside down on the tree. She kicked off the tree branch and landed on the soft ground, in a crouched like position. Lifting her head she felt Tsume land beside her as she straightened up her position and approached the fellow konoha genin she’d head so much about. A bored smile on her face as the same fierceness that they were infamous for. Hand raised at a small height she waved at Zui.

”Ohaiyo, Zui-chan… Oh wheres Utau and the rest?”

She spoke blandly, though she had noted that he was rubbing th back of his head. Her eyes narrowed to slits as she shook her head. Boy kids really didn’t like zui huh? She brought her hand to her head and adjusted her head band. Tsume was at her heels naturally and showing no emotion, she let a smirk slip across her lips.

”So Zui, ya gunna do us all proud ne? Though I wouldn’t doubt anyone from Konoha ever.”

She laughed slightly and let her hand fall on his head and rub him like a puppy or something. He couldn’t help but open her eyes and let her hand fall down to Tsume’s muzzle as she scratched his fur. Her eyes narrowed as she heard the sound of laughter and the feeling of her hair stand on end made her blood boil a little. Sound nin huh? Rolling her eyes she went on to ignore them though her affection for her wolf stopped as she remained on guard now, her smile faded to her unreadable features once more. Yada yada she hoped she wasn’t going to have to break up fights before this got underway. Rubbing her temples she was sure going to have to watch the lot of them. Though there was always one wasn’t there in a crowd who wanted to hurt someone, namely zui. The clipboard on her back listed all the genin that were supposed to be here. Though she really didn’t like the attitude of some of the genin already.

When she heard another sound nin say he wanted to kill zui, her face dropped to that of slightly annoyed. Boy this kid didn’t have to say much before someone hated him. Shaking her head she reached into her back pack and pulled out her pen. ’Might as well at least look ready…’ She thought knowing that the tension between the nations would undoubtedly be here with the lot of them. She just hoped there would be more jonin from konoha were coming to back her up, speaking of which..

”Haa Zui wheres Hisoka -san?”

Hisoka and herself were never one to see eye to eye but she was curious as to where her old friend was. Admittedly she ended up getting hurt more when she was a kid and ended up seeing her more than any other medical nin since she enjoyed her company. Tsume was still quiet and more of an on alert watcher while she made small talk to lighten the air, even she didn’t like tension but hell. She knew she’d have to endure it. She’d made it to being a jonin cause of it.

KENJI

The past couple of days had been pretty intense for Kenji, at least compared to what he was used to. He had learned several new Jutsu and even improved some with his Kekkei Genkai. But life as a Genin was never really simple for Kenji anyways, ever since Hisoka was kidnapped by the Masked Man they were left without a teacher for a period of time, in which Kenji's father decided it be best if he trained his son. His father wasn't the only who Kenji trained with though, a big part of the trainings intensity was whenever he got to train with his teammates. And it was obvious in the overall appearance that the physical condition portion of it paid off. Kenji used to look somewhat scrawny when he first left the Academy since then he put on a bit more lean muscle which attributed to the filling of his clothe.

"Crap... I think I'm late." Kenji said looking up to the sun to measure the time of day. It was a skill he learned from his father, he considered it 'crucial' to the Shokubutsu clan.' As Kenji turned the corner he could see a sudden the mass of Genin gathered at the forest gates. It was then he reached around his back and picked up a bag of what looked like sunflower seeds. "Shouldn't be too hard to find Zui..." Kenji concluded as the bright white mane contrasted in the crowd, but something else stood out in the crowd that wasn't seen it was heard.

As Kenji moved through the crowd he did happen to notice the commotion that ensued wherever Zui was, whether it big or small people gathered around him.

'I'm going to kill him.'

The words caught Kenji's attention as he passed by the Otogakure squad, he didn't look at them past his peripherals but that was enough to identify them. Eventually Kenji made it towards where Zui and Naomi were. He smiled as he smiled lightly as he neared the group and gave a causal wave.

As he walked closer to the two he noticed the subject Naomi-sensei happened to bring up. "You haven't heard about this, Naomi-sensei? You tell her Zui." He said as he turned to get a better look at the Otogakure Genin Team, who he could now identify by appearance. He looked at the female Genin first, he knew it wasn't her voice, but his eyes were drawn to her figure like magnets. After a quick pursue he shifted gaze to the source of the sound. An orange head of hair with pale skin and strange snake eyes, this had to be the guy. There's an old saying, looks like a duck, walks like a duck, you get the picture.

"Things could get quite interesting around here." Kenji inwardly told himself as he scanned the rest of the crowd taking in a plethora of different arrays.

Kaoru entered the area with dango in hand, spotting a few people already there. She had left the Academy area when her stomach growled and remembering the day, spoke to her father and left to participate in the Chuunin exams. On her way over she bought an early lunch, of course, though she wasn't actually quite sure what time it was.

Her father had given her many words of advice regarding the exams, and each one was still implanted fresh into her mind. Tip number one: Always stay calm. She thought while spotting shinobi from Otogakure. Number two: Never, ever let your guard down or underestimate your opponents. Kaoru wondered how strong her opponents would be. She had never really fought anybody from other villages, so she wasn't sure what she should be preparing herself for. And finally, number three: Go out there and show the world how to kick a**.

The kunoichi grinned to herself before swallowing the dango she had in her mouth and taking out another skewer of it. "Hm, looks like there's people I know." Kaoru thought aloud with a dango skewer sticking out of her mouth. She looked around and spotted a few familiar Genin, like Zui and Kenji.

With a small shrug, she made her way over to the small crowd and pulled off another skewer of dango into her mouth. "Hey guys." She muttered with her mouth full, greeting the two Genin and Jounin.

User ImageWhat Utau regretted the most, was not trailing after that guy. Even if he had used some kind of jutsu to get out of the situation he had created, she still could have followed something. She hadn’t been trained to wait for something and even in her gut she wished to follow. Yet, she remembered that they would see each other again, she would hope on that. But even as she gave her report to the leader of the clan, she knew the look of disappointment on his face. That scowl he had and his stupid eyebrows always bothered her. There should have been no reason whatsoever for her to have missed out on the opportune moment to attack and kill that man. Not only that, she had left a comrade behind to be taken. It seemed after every report she gave, there were plenty of mistakes that built up to make her a failure. So what if the woman was taken? She could prove some use if she got out alive.

Standing there watching the old man go on and on about his stupid rules and everything wanted Utau to lash out at him. Yet that old man knew everything and had grounded her, forcing her back to her room in silence. That silence didn’t last very long though, because only a few moments later did some teachers come in and try to prep her up for the exams that would be happening. Utau should have been practicing with her team mates, but at the same time no. She had felt them almost appear in the forest where she had been, but she left before they could find her. Better leave the losers to themselves. There was no way possible they were going to be able to pass these exams. Utau hoped that maybe they would get themselves killed or disqualified early in the game, just so she didn’t have to deal with them later. In her “grounding” state though, she could only focus on the target and to make sure she didn’t wear herself out too much. That was a easy though and by the time training was over, she had hardly broken a sweat.

The time to go to the actual exam though was the most annoying. Of course the leader wanted her to wear their traditional robes and gown to make their clan name stand out. So as she wore the stupid costume, she walked down the steps to her whole family as they bowed in front of her. What she would have done to have some kind of super power to make them all go away. The leader wasn’t allowed to leave the grounds and no one was permitted to follow her in case of some kind of ambush mission. Better for Utau though, because as soon as she left her clan’s gates the robes were off and tossed aside. Underneath she just wore her regular day dress and serpent outfit underneath; no doubt she would need that.

Getting to the test grounds was easy enough, because she had found this place in earlier times. The gates surrounding the place hardly kept anything inside, but at least the ninja tried. Walking past everyone like they were scum, she made her way over to the location of where she would need to place her identification. It was stupid to have to sign up for such a thing; everyone would forget their names eventually. Going through the small black screen and being faced with another female ninja, Utau just kept that uninterested look on her face. ”Onada, Utau.” It didn’t take that long for the woman to understand the meaning of her name and jump off of her seat, practically wanting to kiss Utau’s feet. Utau didn’t give her the chance though as she grabbed the ID and then left the stupid booth.

There was no telling what exactly was going to await them next besides the stupid exam. Other kids were getting pumped up and others just going about worrying themselves. A stupid display for any of them. If they didn’t believe in their skills, they might as well have been dead. And one of them of course had to be Zui. Her black eyes looked over the fool for a second and then to the rest of the competition. All of them were inferior and all of them completely out of date looking. Did that girl really have pink hair? Utau could care less, but it just felt too easy to be going into a forest to kill the other ninja and to find out they were a bunch of nothings. Looking over a specific group they seemed promising, but it was hard to tell.

She couldn’t keep her eyes on them because they were such an eye sore, that she looked away. Yet of course, she rolled her eyes, gave a little “humph” and threw back her long green hair. Yeah, she was definitely confident. Utau made her way over to the group of leaf ninjas, but when she was near them, she kept on walking. She did feel like mixing in with the small group, not wanting to get their stench on her. Especially that Inuzaka girl, the smell of canine was definitely unattractive. Making her way almost to the gate, she stood there and then crossed her arms. This was annoying…

”Might as well start the tests. Whoever doesn’t arrive should just be disqualified because they don’t have the backbone to show up. What a bunch of losers.” Flipping her hair again, she was directing it at anyone who was listening to her, which was most likely anyone. Utau did have a venom about her, that was just ready to strike anyone where it hurt.

Shinobi of Oto, Plant expert, King of Nature.
"There's no true beauty in the world like natural beauty."

" Now Sho-kun, no need to get So hostile yet. Besides, the others can hear you when you say things like that. Then they'll look oddly upon on and maybe see us as either a weak team making a bluff to take out quickly, or a strong team filled with malicious intent and gang up on us. You, as well as i know we can't take on several other gennin here at once. We're all here cause of our exceptional abilities. No one will be a push over." Akabara would say giving caution to his teammates words. It was true, he watched as others passed by and heard Sho's words about killing the Konoha Gennin. It wasn't a wise thing to spout out threats so openly. But Akabara understood why Sho wanted to kill the boy. Even Akabara found him irritating. Sho was just a bit to murderous at times. " " " "

The young kunoichi had adjusted the final button down her jacket with the others in a vertical line. It wouldn't hurt to make preparations and especially on occasions where today would take place. Every time she dressed in her usual gear, she would always apply the small pouch bombs. Why? Not many people knew because the designs of the two items were very similiar-looking, both being round, small and covered with flax yarn to match her rather peachy olive jacket today. Too bad she wasn't as snug as her weapons were full in their places. It took her a bit longer than expected only because she stopped halfway to delay herself. Before she bowed to her parents during her way here, Chisagi had heard a lot of horrid details about the average outcomes in participating. The rumors were pretty musty about the trials so it wasn't a big terror from the way it was described. It was more troubling to think that it was possible. She may as well recognize herself as a coward but certain people made it hard for her to fully accept what she could be called. The gennin sighed before craning her neck and undulating her shoulders. She wasn't about to make herself even more uncomfortable at failing on her will. But it didn't matter. Her resolve was to become a top-notch shinobi. If her goal fails here before it even starts, she'll be an even bigger loser.

She then entered the area, hands rooted deep into the pockets of her trousers with a set of glassy eyes staring among the overall numbers. The cover of her face was calm and naive looking. Apparently, people were rocking off their opinions now. One person branched into the expected; assuming by nature now. Something of a mild, prickling sensation fell over Chisagi's stomach when she looked over the girl who was farthest out by the gates. She didn't really like it how it was from that Onada girl who was inches shorter than Chisagi was. Her thoughts trailed off into virtually nothing. As boring and awkwardly sinister the atmosphere was, she disliked having no one to synchronize to. Who wouldn't be a little afraid? And somehow, it just got so tense that she decided to dial her aid down near low. With one ear to strain while the other can absorb no other sound and remain at rest, Chisagi was fairly calmer now. At least for the time being.

Eventually she caught sight of the other konoha gennin since most of them attended their academy years together. She distinctly noticed Kaoru, Kenji, and that oddball Zui. Those faces actually gave her some comfort when she approached them. She smiled and said hello but soon came to a quick stop as the guy named Kenji ventured off to the Jounin-lady. Even Zui was involved as his name was mentioned. Damn her of all times to lower her hearing aid! Instead she managed to hear through her other ear, just missed a bunch of words and hardly butchered out a single sentence. She wasn't even in a decent range anyway being a bit farther out. All she heard was a name. Naomi. Another teacher? Her brows remained still but her eyes quavered within their sockets. Despite her dull expression, she didn't like the overall air anymore. Chisagi then faced Kaoru after regaining her happy-dappy expression.

"So anyway..." Her eyes then abruptly widened out in sheer white circles with her small irises conflicting within them. Shadows draped above her brows in a cropping pattern while she appeared to look half-maniacal. The glint in her eyes looked crazed. She gently grasped Kaoru's arm that was weak enough to be regarded aside. "...I'm scared..uhuhuhuhu..." Her voice came off as a mousy whisper. See, with the situation she had presented, it was definitely unusual for a person to grasp another person partially chuckling when also in the presence of visible tears. Although, it was Kaoru's call, one of Chisagi's gag talents was sometimes emotional deception. Not that it was THAT convincing anyway. Messing with Kaoru was second-to-nothing in her list of to-do's. And Kaoru was just too damn leveled sometimes. She'd like to see a decent reaction before any one of them goes 'click'. Of course in her mind, Chisagi would imagine that she would either be scolded or mildly indulged by this. Since, her past great idea would have been a mini hanging rope or a rubber turkey.

Kaoru merely shrugged as nobody really paid attention to her and turned away from the others to continue eating her dango. She was about to go sit under a nearby tree before she realized that her friend, Chisagi, was before her. The Genin was about to greet her with a muffle 'hello' before that somewhat crazed look that Kaoru had grown used to appeared on her friends face, and she was gripping onto her arm the next moment.

Kaoru casually looked down at her friend before keeping the skewer of dango in her mouth, holding it in place with her teeth, before patting Chisagi's head. "There there." She answered plainly before pulling the dango out of her mouth and not caring much about her friend clinging onto her arm, though to anybody passing by it must have looked like a boyfriend giving his girlfriend trouble. Now wouldn't that just give that Hyuuga boy something to laugh about.

The kunoichi glanced back down at her friend before dropping the empty skewer into the package and held it next to Chisagi's face, still keeping a rather bland expression. "Want some dango? Food always makes me feel better. Might cure mock-fright, too." Kaoru offered with a smirk. It was something Chisagi would do at time; feign emotions that weren't too convincing in attempt to mess with her. It's too bad that the kunoichi remains unfazed by the actions of others, so trying to mess with her doesn't often work. Which is usually why when she's made fun of for being so 'masculine,' if that's the proper term, Kaoru would laugh along before turning back to whatever food item she would have with her at the time.

But now that her friend mentioned being 'scared,' Kaoru began to take notice to the other shinobi from other villagers and furrowed her eyebrows together just slightly. She wasn't sure if she was just imagining it, but one of two seemed to have a rather...murderous aura coming from them. Wonder what they're thinking 'bout us Konoha shinobi. Then again, I wonder what Oto's like when training their Genin... Kaoru thought. She hasn't traveled that much for missions, so she wasn't really filled in on how other villages did things. She was pretty aware, though, that Konoha was one of the less-strict villages. Kaoru assumed that she had it easy as a shinobi and found herself wondering how those other Genin were trained, all while forgetting about Chisagi clinging to her like a monkey.

Well, Arashi had arrived quietly at the forest of death, dodging teens who might have been in scuffles or on their ways. She made sure to keep herself hidden so that she didn't get into any trouble. Besides, she didn't want to compromise the visit here.~ Arashi made her way to a quiet, secluded area, where she awaited the arrival of the Sannin and Raikage. After all, she did have what Sukotta-Sama wanted.

While waiting, Arashi could only find that being in this area was making her feel rather tense. Something was happening... She could feel it in her gut, to say in the least. Even with that feeling growing, Arashi sat under a tree, making sure she stayed out of everyone's way, while keeping herself decently hidden.

It didn't take much time at all for Suzuki to arrive in the forrest of death, heading to a quiet, secluded area. The last thing he wanted at the moment was to be surrounded by others, especially any Genin who might want to 'Warm-Up' with him... It was easy enough to keep himself on the down low during conversation and normal activity, but during a fight, he would have trouble maintaining the power-level of a Genin... The urge to annihilate his opponent would come close to overpowering his judgment. Hopefully Mikazuki would be able to find him here, it shouldn't be hard for the Sannin, after all, Suzuki's was easy to find, as long as you knew what you were looking for. "Perhaps entering the Chunin Exam wasn't the best idea..." Honestly Suzuki didn't know why they had come up with this plan... There was no reason to infiltrate the Hidden Leaf like this. It would have been so much easier to just attack in full force and annihilate them... Rather than wait for an opportunity...

"This year had better be more epic than the previous few years. Such a letdown." Shinji couldn't bear to see another lousy performance again, it was such a bore. As he trekked along the dirt road towards the Forty Fourth Training Ground, he noticed almost a dozen genin in the vicinity so far. He could sense something powerful from these children that stood around him, but also a ton of killing intent. A smirk crossed his lips while he slipped his ceremonial hat and robe on before stepping onto the pedestal at the front gate. Clearing his throat several times, he calmly picked up the microphone and began his speech, "Children of the shinobi world, please gather so we may start this years Chunin Exams. If you did not already know this years exams are a free for all, a battle royale if you must. Although unlike previous years, killing is allowed in this tournament. This tournament is a show of courage and prowess, how well you've studied your jutsu, and how well you can put them to use. Never underestimate your opponent, but also never underestimate yourself. With that being said, please step forward so that you may each get a scroll. You must reach the middle tower with both types of scrolls or else you fail the exam. You will all be given an 'Earth' scroll, which you will get from the table on my right. Then you will enter the main gate behind me and travel through this forest while fighting other shinobi we have set throughout the forest who hold the 'Heaven' scroll that you must obtain to enter the tower. With this being said, please take your scroll and venture forth for this years Chunin Exams!"

While Arashi sat around and waited patiently, she couldn't help but inhale her surroundings, letting out a heavy sigh after doing so. The smell of the forest reminded her of when she took Chuunin Exams. Oh, how those days seemed to be so long ago! Blood, sweat, tears... Well, not so much for Arashi.. Back then, Arashi made it through all forty four gates without so much as a scratch on her. Ah yes, she used her smarts to avoid death for her team, with the scrolls in hand. Luckily, they ended up battling and lone behold, they all became attained the rank of Chuunin. Now a former Akatsuki member, and Jounin of KumoGakure, Arashi was back here again to meet up with the two she traveled with.

She let out a small chuckle, a pretty toothy smile stuck to her features for a brief moment. Leaning her head back, she folded her arms across her chest gently. Arashi reached for her book, in attempts to at least entertain herself until Mikazuki and Sukotta showed up. Though, something caught her attention...

Something all too familiar.

Arashi's eye shifted toward a the male, wandering about down low. She couldn't believe who it was... Osore no Karasu.... Of Akatsuki. "Kare wa koko de nani o yatte iru..?" She furrowed her brow, retracting her hand from the bag hanging on her belt. Now she wasn't just going to rush down there. Arashi knew just how lethal Osore was. For her to go down unprepared..

Many things were going through her mind at this point. What was Akatsuki doing here? What were their motives? Seeing anyone of Akatsuki made her uneasy. Not for herself, but what they were capable of. Of course she knew first hand. "This can't be good.." Arashi noted mentally, before slithering her way down, and making an appearance before Osore.

"Seikaku ni wa zekkō no basho wa, ohiru ni atte inai.. Ne?~" Arashi approached calmly, but cautiously. There was a small casual smile, giving off a bit of a genuine persona. Though, Arashi decided to take things on a bit more of a serious level. Her tone became more stern, and her arms fell to her sides. "Akatsuki ni wa koko nani o yatte iru?"

translation;; Kare wa koko de nani o yatte iru..?
What are you doing here..?

Seikaku ni wa zekkō no basho wa, ohiru ni atte inai.. Ne?~
Not exactly a great place to meet for lunch, hm?~

Akatsuki ni wa koko nani o yatte iru?
What is Akatsuki doing here?
