http://www.glaad.org/spiritdayIs anyone else wearing purple? Right now, I'm putting purple bracelets on my Gaia avatar (and might change it to all purple tomorrow but idk yet), my twitter avatar is purple, my FB profile pic is purple, and my tumblr is purple. I also plan on wearing purple tomorrow but I doubt I'll go out of the house tomorrow. razz What are you doing for Spirit Day?

But, my friends joked that they'd bring me purple eyeshadow to wear tomorrow, whether they're serious or not is the question...

Pandora the Wonderful I own no purple.( DAMMIT.) But, my friends joked that they'd bring me purple eyeshadow to wear tomorrow, whether they're serious or not is the question... Same. Neither do I. I *may* have some piece of jewelry with some purple in it though...

I really wanted to celebrate this irl, but the whole event is sexist. I'm a guy, most guys don't have any purple clothing. -_- They should have chosen a more gender-neutral color... incidentally, I don't think I saw anyone wearing purple today; I think it's just plain an uncommon color for clothing, putting aside dresses.
...Rant aside it's 9 PM right now and I didn't even think to change my avatar of gaia / fb / anything until now, so there's not really a point in doing so now sweatdrop

Huh, I never noticed that...I don't have any purple clothing IRL besides a (formal) purple dress somewhere because I prefer blue, but I guess they could have chosen a better color. That said, I didn't know about Spirit Day so I guess I'll leave my avi like this for tonight, and I don't have a Facebook or IRL clothes in that color so I guess that will do.

And I think the reason they picked it is because it's kind of an uncommon colour. EDIT: They picked it because violet represents "spirit" in the gay flag, like that their spirit can't be broken.

I own pretty much all purple and wear it everyday, so I was pretty decked out for Spirit Day. Especially being part of GLBT as well. And a lot of my friends wore purple too. :3
