I know it's tough,
Reliving memories like turning back time,
Thinking to yourself...
If only I had known.
If only I had known the outcome,
What God had planned to grow
In the aftermath of the rainstorm.
I can understand.
I've relived my life a thousand times,
Thinking to myself...
What should have I done?
If only I had understood God's will...
...even in the aftermath of the storm.
I may not have taken the razor,
But I know how it feels to be cut. Bleeding.
I think to myself...
How many more tears do I have?
How much more water must I loose before whithering?
If only I could see...
...see what God has planned for me.
I may not see the Son,
But I lift my leaves toward Him,
And hope He knows what He's doing.
And even after the rainfall...
...I cry a thousand tears, thinking,
What can I do?
God has a plan for me,
As I close my rosebuds and weep.
He knows what's best for His garden,
Even if it resulted in a hurricane.
But nay, He won't let me be torn by the winds.
He will protect His tiny flowers from the torrents,
The hail, the lightning and the fires.
If only we knew...
...maybe the rain wouldn't sting so bad.
