Eli's proposed career requires a full metaplot's worth of justification--he's going to be an emperor of a country full of magical folk...in absence! All of this comes to pass as a result of IC!Shimy (Sabra Sabina)'s machinations...

Once upon a time, Sabra and Nevreso were bffs. Nevreso desired power and stabbed Sabra in the back; Sabra decides to get even by overthrowing her--for the good of the planet.

Phanes is an Earthlike planet with two moons, the larger blueish (Eltimion's moon) and the much smaller reddish. Thousands of years ago, refugees from an interstellar empire sought sanctuary on Phanes, bringing their Ti'ama (world dragons) with them in (mental) spirit. Many of these refugees were magic-users known as Contractors, who swore oaths with Ti'ama in order to wield focused magic. Because of their imperialistic past, they caused some trouble amongst the native Phoenicians, to the point where a powerful Phoenician sorceress had to seal various nations inside great magical barriers. Those barriers persisted until recently. A brief period of peace reigned when the barriers fell, until a routine diplomatic mission between the northern nation of Threadina and Imperial Neo-Sovreem ended in tragedy.

On 'Dies Irae' the fires burned, and Sabra Sabina was declared prodotios, stripped of her Contract and exiled to Gaia. From there, she slowly built a base of power from which to set things in motion once again...

Elias Sabina was chosen from birth to be Sabra's heir; Contracted to Eltimion, a Ti'ama who in millions of years had never once taken a Contractor nor concerned herself with the game so many of her kind played. But something had to be done about Neo-Sovreem, and Eltimion believed that Eli indeed could prove the solution...

Timeline of Events:
-Dies Irae "The Day of Wrath" [before Hytech founding]

-KKMC Swear the Contract [Dec08-Feb09]

-have a prologue zero (Manly Man Date)
-have another prologue! (First Date)
-on second thought, any RP involving Seth and Eli probably drops pertinant information...

-Sparklevirus 1.0 has Mena up to something...something which she recruits Seth and Melisande for. This RP also features Dacj's strange dreams, and pieces to a puzzle.
-Seth and Melisande train under the influence of drugs...er, magic pills.
-looting an exotic planet?!?! (that happens to be part of the Old Empire. Except less "happens" and more "on purpose robbing the Ti'ama's dead bodies"...)
-Seth and Melisande carry out SUPER SEKRIT MISSIONS.
-Seth and Dacj find out more about this sibyl character.
-Dacj ruins their SUPER SEKRIT MISSIONS.

[nothing to fear but the meta itself]
-Meta begins w/ certain ever-encircling-fates goading Nevreso to action—magical girl assassins hit up Hytech!
-Things very quickly spiral out of control.

It's the personal-metaplot-that-never-ends XD If you feel like throwing your character into the madness, just send a PM my way~

The meta itself is (tentatively) going to be shown through Ren'py based visual novels. These consist of three storylines:

Quote:

1) KKMC “Swear the Contract” - Miri visits the Cottage and sets things in motion; Sabra “Shimy” Sabina becomes a force to be reckoned with as her memory of her exile is restored. (set back in Dec 08/Jan 09; yay retconning!)
2) KKMC “Behind the Lines” - Seth and Melisande missions, possibly w/ 'flash cards' and other explanatory features. Shades of Chaos to defeat. End mission features how Dacj ruins everything :< (set winter/spring 2011)
3) KKMC “Lacrymose the Red Moon” - the actual 'meta'. Dramu happens. Eli falls prey to Chaos. Dacj has choices to make. The Vanth have gathered. The red moon brings disaster... (set summer 2011)

But they are by no means set in stone~ It will be a ridiculously RP heavy sort of thing (the scripts for the meta will be generated out of regularish RP methods), so please do keep that in mind, though it shouldn't be awful unless you'd like to throw your Hyte in as deep as Seth's gotten. You know what they say about misery and company... wink

So you have choices: (you know what the Ti'ama always say...)
1.Volunteer for a cameo/bit part (involved in the Hytech part of the plot but not the rest); small RP commitment
2.Volunteer for a more involved role (and with ideas of the character development you'd like to get out of it); heavier RP commitment
3.Volunteer to be in everything as deep as Seth is! (in which case, we'd better write you into it soon)
4.Don't volunteer *sadface*

-Elias 'Eli' Sabina : the heroine of the tale~ Things're gonna get worse before they get better, Eli...
-Sabra 'Shimy' Sabina : the puppetmaster~
-Philomena 'Mena' Sabina: manufacturer of sparkle!drugs. Also may or may not be a Blossom, but she's certainly not going to admit any such thing to Eli!
-Melisande 'Missy' Sabina: sparkle!drug guinea pig, exhibits pheromone control and enhanced strength. Rather enjoying this whole undercover shtick.
-Dacj Sabina: a Blossom in the Contractor way of things, which is to say: she's a magical girl potentiate with erratic magic. She does not want to be a magical girl potentiate. She made Eli seal off her magic completely. Nevertheless, she gets strange dreams...what's this about a "sibyl"? But when push comes to shove, it turns out she can rock this magic stuff--goodbye seals, hello shields!
-Eltimion/Elti : Eli's Ti'ama Contractee. She has also extended Blossom-dom to Dacj, and tries not to take the rejection personally. She is also called "the Blue Moon."
-Seth: Sparkle!drug guinea pig #2, exhibits telepathy and enhanced speed. In probably way, way over his head, but when Eli's one of your best friends, it's kind of inevitable...

-Kamiko: Eli's girlfriend, possible future mother of Kitten (if, you know, the kid would ever fess up to something that might ALTER THE TIME SPACE CONTINUUM and all). Has a part to play in the missions, and may also serve as the antidote to all this sparkly madness...?
-Kisuke: definitely in sparklevirus 2.0, still determining the rest!
-Katsu: sparklevirus 2.0 guinea pig ;3

NPCs:
-Lord Twilight: a phoenix who watches over Phanes. Apparently an "old friend" of Sabra Sabina's...but he manages to have a far better reputation.
-Reira Iok: a former merqueen from Phanes, Seth's telepathy tutor.
-Meerowyn Aikcj-Pallawn: A niece of Sabra Sabina's (well, from her former lifetime anyway!) and the daughter of Donab Pallawn and Aikatyrine Aikcj. Ninja-diplomat.
-Erik Iok: Son of Donab Pallawn and Haiaen Iok, half-sib to Meerowyn. Erik's duty is to get his mother's barriers down so the Threadinian forces can lend a hand, but it's slow, slow going.
-Kitou "Kitten" Sabina: future daughter of Eli, Kamiko's probably her mom (Eli is 99.9% convinced of this). She's allergic to sparkles, but that doesn't stop her from trying to be a magical girl. She's very fond of her Aunt Dacj, tried to troll Seth once, and mostly just complains about how now-Eli is not nearly as nice as Daddy-Eli. She is always wearing a glamour, and they appear to be something of her personal magic specialty.
-Aikatyrine Aikcj: Queen of Threadina, bff to the destined couple Haiaen & Donab, and just generally awesome. She kicks a** and chews bubblegum, and she's all out of bubblegum :|

-Missions to Phanes, feat. Seth and Melisande, also a Kamiko appearance ;3 [closed] projected Jan '11 - April '11
Because everybody loves undercover stuff, right? Also there are Shades to be defeated~

Mission 1 - "Blood Traitor" - Zephyr ne' Olwynn meets Seth and Missy for the first time in person, but someone else seems to have figured out Zephyr's gone rogue. Blackmail might be the least of their worries, though... [Shade Daedaleon] *complete*

Mission 2 - "Let It Snow, Let It Snow..." - Zephyr is separated from Seth and Missy by a freak out-of-season blizzard, and the two Hytes have to survive the wet and snow and cold unprepared. The blizzard may have a supernatural source... [Shade Chione] *complete*

Mission 3 - "The Farmlands of Phanes" - Investigating a lead, Zephyr takes Seth and Missy to a rural castle, where they have to play native and hope their acting holds up to close investigation. There may be something shady going on in the burned lands nearby though... [Shade Tellus] *complete*

Mission 4 - "All That Glitters Is Not Gold" - Three times is a pattern, and Ilazki accompanies the group for added protection from Shades. She leads them to an Amaranth, one of the so-called Undying priests of the Ti'ama, who has a message for them. Murders abound, and the circumstances are very suspicious... And what exactly does the Amaranth need the sibyl for? [Shade Atsingani] *complete*

Mission 5 - "Art History" - Led by a map found in the Amaranth's abbey, Zephyr leads Seth and Melisande to ruins in search of what may be the greatest weapon yet. Kitten pops back from the future to lend a hand, and Zephyr calls their discovery something that could change the tide of the war-to-come. [Shade Galatea] *complete*

Mission 6.1 - "I Am Become Death" - A caravan is rumored to hold what Seth and Missy seek, but it may simply be a trap laid by the cleverest--and deadliest--of the Shades. Dacj follows Seth and Missy into Phanes and is mistaken for the sibyl, taken to enjoy the "hospitality" of Nevreso. [Shade Atropos] *complete*

Mission 6.2 - "The Destroyer of Worlds" - Seth and Missy race to rescue Dacj, but the sibyl has another task to perform before they can return home. *complete*

Mena has made the sparkledrugs stop making people [Seth and Missy] register as Phages (bits of Chaos)--but the change in the formula causes the sparklevirus to mutate and turn airborne. Very few are safe...

Need-To-Know: Magical girls tend to operate with elemental spheres of influence, and you can either choose one or two primary magic "types" for your newly sparkly participant. Master list is forthcoming!

I'd like to sign Kisuke up for a more involved role - he can be less nervous and jumpy afterwards! *A* actually who am i kidding plus SPARKLEVIRUS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
