I've had a few different experiences. Some scary, some quirky. Even the frightening things were only so because I wasn't expecting them.
During the summer of 2001, I was having random panic attacks. I would be just watching something on TV and my heart would start racing. My breathing would get shallow and forced, like something had just scared me out of my wits. My mom knew about these attacks because I complained about them, especially the part of having no good reason for them. Not even psychological. They came and went at random with no apparent trigger. Then one day, while I was trying to explain how it felt to my mom, I told that something bad was going to happen, that it'd affect everyone. Well, as you can guess, September 11th rolled around and I knew what had been the source of my panic attacks.
The second event took place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. My husband and I went on a ghost tour through the city during early spring. It was the sort that's enjoyable at time because it covers a lot of the forgotten history of a place. In any case, we had to walk a ways before we got to our first destination. The guide only told us to follow her and said nothing about where. As we passed the Rocky Top Village Inn and a church, I felt something very dark and heavy. I'd felt something similar before at other places, but this was strong enough to make me stop and put me on edge. I couldn't take my eyes off the Virgin Mary in the back corner of the church's parking lot. When my husband was close, I felt more secure and continued with the group. Only a little ways away, the guide told us about a gruesome murder that occurred at the inn several ago during a robbery. To say the least, I felt a chill at realizing what it was I had sensed. Everyone went back up there, but I wasn't bothered again, thankfully. It was when we were by the church that the guide told us that activity had been reported there. All I could think was "no sh**."

That's very scary. I don't like to think about stuff like that, and I don't enjoy horror movies or gory things like a lot of people do. I just feel terrified and imagine it as if it were happening to me. I don't think it's anything spiritual or witchy about me, I just react and empathize very strongly with/to victims of violence.
I can't think about all the things that go on in the world, or I get very sick. I don't understand why people hurt each other. cry
You were very brave to stay there, especially when you found out about the murder.

I have lots of stories, I read Tarot cards, so things happen.
We went on a ghost walk a few weeks ago and I had some very strange experiences. I heard a voice that said "Do it, Do it" Several times this happened. It was pretty creepy. I saw a person in a window but they were not there in the pictures. Several people I was with heard the name Ella or Ellen. Most of us could feel that it was colder by the cemetery. I actually saw the stereotypical "white ghostly figure" gliding through the woods. It was creepy and a little disappointing at the same time, I felt pretty cheesy at that point.
Some of the people we were with were disappointed, I think they expected to see more, to hear more, to feel more, but everybody saw heard or felt at least one thing.

It's easy to be brave when you know your husband's got your back. wink
Otherwise, I've had run-ins before with other spirits. The dark and heavy feeling is normal for ghostly activity if you're not the type to see or hear things. It scared me mostly because I wasn't expecting it. Honestly, how many people actually have experiences on a ghost walk? However, in my home town in Kentucky, a popular Halloween trip was to the abandoned sanatorium in Louisville. I never went. Places like that, where hundreds of people have had problems and/or died are usually hotbeds for activity. I get a bad enough headache from being around people, I don't need the added stress of the Otherworld.

The house I live in is almost 100 years old (9 cool so there are weird things that go on here. Seeing orbs is not unusual and there is a purple lady we occasionally see.

I once thought it would be funny to use a ouija board.
Yea, it turned out really "Funny".
I think I've seen ghosts in my parents' house, but that also might be a shadow trick since I saw it every night when I crossed the hallway and looked down the stairs at night.

i got a suspicion you can sense out the voices of the dead. i immagine they sound like wails of a dead sea. sounds of fading other side.
